Nice machine! I'm waiting for a CoCo 1 to arrive and I'm guessing it's a 16k model (26-3002?). I also got 4164 chips coming and also some heat sinks with adhesive backing that will fit 40 pin DIP's. I remember that especially the MC6883 really ran toasty hot.
@@acs8-bitzone651I can't find a proper cable to hook the rf to a monitor right now but the coco relay click on power-on indicates it is booting properly! Beautiful grey beast. It reminds me of the rare white coco 1 i lost. I' ve been rebuilding my old collection and I want to start my own UA-cam channel. So far I have Coco 1,2, 3, MC-10, RS Model 1, Apple 2+, Commodore Vic 20, 64, Timex Sinclair 1000, Atari 800XL, TI99-4A... What a beautiful era of computers!
Very nice, I'm pretty sure I have the same RAM test only it runs from a cart. It still uses the serial connection though, and you can fire up a terminal on another machine and watch it test the RAM. It's nice because you can run it even on some machines that won't boot. I have yet to really benefit from it so far though, I have too much fun tearing machines apart to fix them I never end up using it! 😄
I would be interested in having a cartridge version. I remember asking Denis who created the one I'm using about that, and there would have been challenges in porting it to cart. But it would be nice.
@acs8-bitzone651 Great video! Thank you for sharing with everyone how to upgrade the Tandy Radio Shack Color Computer 1 to 64K of RAM. More information sharing makes for more informed people. :D

Yes it did. Did the Coco 1 work as hoped once you received it?

Another way to test if the 64K RAM is working is to run Sailor Man. That game will not work correctly unless you have stable 64K RAM.
You are welcome!
Oh, true. And that is way easier in the end!
