I love Fire types. I remember when X and Y came out you could get a gift speedboost torchik. I ended up having 3 fire types cause I chose fennekin, charmander and the gift torchik

I keep forgetting that Flareon being dollar-store brand Arcanine still leaves it pretty solid as a mon, especially since it has a full 20 more base attack then Arcanine...
Love these types of runs, but I do personally really like seeing failed attempts! Its cool to know how your strategy evolves as you learn and try again
The funny thing is, that I did a fire type run on Y as well, that not being a nuzlocke though. Simisear helped me a lot, but the thing is, that I don't dislike the Pokemon, he's actually my favorite of the elemental monkeys :)
I've only ever done one challenge, which was Pokémon X with only unevolved Pokémon. Disappointingly, I noticed no difference in difficulty whatsoever. If you're curious, here are the rules I came up with: -I could only use Pokémon at the lowest stage. -I could not use single-stage Pokémon or those that used to be single-stage in a previous generation. -Invalid Pokémon may still be obtained, but could not be used until after the League and postgame storyline. -If someone did this in an older generation, the use of Pokémon that gained a prior evolution in a later generation would be up to the individual on whether they are valid or not. -Exceptions exist for when use of certain Pokémon is mandated by the story, such as Korrina's Lucario battle.
@@zirc_ Perhaps in other generations, but in Gen 6, it's incredibly easy. I didn't even use a full team. Well, technically, I did, but one of my Pokémon's IVs were so terrible that it was nothing more than dead weight.

@@zirc_ The trick is to choose the team wisely. I picked team members with at least two base stats over 50. Specifically, I chose Axew, Riolu, Mantyke, Fennekin, Zorua, and Bulbasaur. This challenge would be loads more difficult in Sword/Shield, as the available base-stage Pokémon are far weaker there. When I saw Eternamax Eternatus's stats, that sealed the deal against doing it there.

Don’t know if you have done this, hardcore nuzlocke. Duel types, whichever duel type you get, your next mon must have one of the previous captures typings, no duplicate pokemon. Use the fully evolved duel typing for each Pokemon.
We can't even call this a challenge, since there was none, he literally stomped the entire game with charizard y and the starter like a normal playthrough of X and Y
I'm just annoyed that they named it Talonflame. The Pokemon is based off a peregrine falcon, so why not call it Pyregrine/Pyrogrine/Pyragrine? "Talonflame" sounds like someone reversed how Warrior cats are named to avoid copyright.
@@henrymars6626 Those suggestions are probably worse than talonflame..pokemon don’t always include their animal in the name, more often just a nod to it via body parts or rough hints. Talon as falcons and other predatory birds are known for their long sharp talons as well as flame for fire typing. It’s also a route one bird..don’t expect too complicated of a name.

I used the Citra emulator. It has a few visual bugs but is much cheaper than trying to capture footage off of a 3DS, since those capture cards go for $1000+ nowadays.
@@johncorry617 That you're gonna have to do on your own. Best thing I can tell you is to get a modded 3DS and a physical copy of the game and backup the ROM file to your computer like I do.
I did this except it wasn’t a nuzlocke then maxed all the fire type Pokemon out wore clothes to match to feel immersive and now gonna do the same with all the other types.
I have to go into the fight at the level cap, but when I start the fight, the Pokemon are allowed to level up during that fight and can still be used, hence why I "edge" them up to RIGHT before they go over the level cap so that I can take advantage of those slight stat boosts.
im upset. not at choatic though.about 3-4 months I finished my own Fire type only run (not a nuzlocke) in x&y after several failed attempts against Seibold and it mostly becuase i didn't think to get rotom for the run. so much time would have been saved had i known i could of gotten Rotom.

You could make an argument for ice being a difficult type because it’s just a horrendous defensive type, although it is a pretty good offensive type. That’s not as helpful in Nuzlockes though, because it doesn’t really matter how hard your Pokémon can hit if it’s dead. Also if I recall correctly, depending on the game there aren’t very many ice type mons/mons that evolve into ice types, and the ones that are there are pretty late into the game. Probably why you don’t see many mono ice hardcore nuzlockes, or at least I haven’t.
You could only really do an Ice Nuzlocke in Sword/Shield since it’s only there you get a wide enough array of Ice types spread everywhere to make a run feasible barring a randomizer run and that’s still not good enough because there are only around 40 Ice type Pokémon available.
@@iantaakalla8180 ONLY 40? That’s a huge amount lol. Besides you’ll only get like roughly 10 encounters (depending on how you do them) anyways so how many choices you get is kinda irrelevant.

On Route 10, you got Eevee instead of Houndour because Houndour is exclusive to Pokémon X

Houndour is exclusive to X while electrike is it's counterpart to Y. Eevee is in both games
But Houndour/Houndoom can get Thunder Fang so it can help against Siebold when it makes it that far

I did this challenge too, but I added an extra rule that my pokemon had to be the color red, simisears yawn definitely comes in clutch a lot

I saw you used delphox at level 43 against valerie... I am a bit confused on your level cap rule
