yeah, i like the crossovers but i don't want a smash clone smash bros started as smash bros, and still is smash bros, so mario kart should follow suit in my opinion (started as mario kart and stays mario kart)
Yeahhh, if it becomes some giant Nintendo property crossover I’m not buying it at all. Don’t get me wrong, I love “guest” characters, but they should stay as “guest”. Like maybe MK10 could have olimar, captain falcon, and Rob as its guest characters.
@@rustyshackleford234yeah it will be free update instead of Crossover DLCS. Why would the next Mario Kart game would have Booster Course Pass after the entire free update?
What is the future of Delfino Square? Nintendo adds a backwards lap, turns the draw bridge into a glider section, adds antigravity everywhere, CreepyProduce is annoyed, he has a heartbroken talk with the OG/Wii version of this track.
I hope the next Mario Kart game allows you an option to freely move around the tracks. Sometimes, I just want to stop racing and explore the whole area of the racing track.
I like some of your thoughts (especially on track selection). However, I did have two main disagreements. First, I don't think 1st place should get mushrooms. Purely as a Blue Shell avoider, they work great. Unfortunately, it would also give frontrunners the option to take shortcuts that should be used to catch up to first. Secondly, I don't think that "Mario Kart Ultimate" with every track is a good idea. Though I always miss some tracks, we also don't need 4 SNES Donut Plains courses and there are others I could do without. I also think that the comparison to Smash doesn't quite work because Mario Kart courses seem a lot bigger than Smash Bros stages. Overall, great video and I'm very curious to see what's next for Mario Kart.
On the last point, I would compare Mario Kart Courses with Smash Bros characters instead of maps, as they are the main focus of the DLC and require much more thought to them
5:42 Peachette may look like a Peach clone, but she's actually a Toadette clone. She originated from the Super Crown Power-Up in New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, a Power-Up only Toadette could use
I would make it so Double Items are like Double Dash where you could switch between items. Also, if the Thundercloud returned, I would make it so you could use it of your own free will like with every other item.
I would make it so that you throw a thundercloud. It automatically goes to the player in front of you. They then have to play hot potato with everyone else but, you are completely immune to the thundercloud being passed back to you.
Mission mode was one of my favorite things in Mario kart ds, right behind Delfino Square, it was fun, gave a challenge and who doesn't like a good Boss fight
Nintendo kart is an awful idea, why? It’s because it would KILL Mario kart, say goodbye to the tracks you love like Delfino square and Dino Dino jungle, as their spots will be taken up by other Nintendo property’s tracks. So yeah, I hope the next game is either MK10 or a Mario kart ultimate.
@@CreepProduce I don’t mind ROB and I wouldn’t complain if captain falcon was in the next game. The amount of crossover characters in MK8D is kinda concerning to me. I love the Zelda series but link shouldn’t be in there, he also looks goofy. If it was only the splatoon or animal crossing characters I wouldn’t mind as much. But alas, crossover characters take up almost the entire bottom row and I’m just gonna have to deal with it.
I hope Nintendo gives a middle finger to everyone and call it mk 10 implying that tour is cannon having and have tracks from that game it deserves more attention
The issue with the track picking ayatem was that someone could pick the same track over and over again and it might get picked more times then how the system is.

Some quick ideas for mario 9: Allow us to save kart combinations as presets. Bring back wheelies. If we 100% the game, let us play the OG music for retro tracks. If there's DLC, have a cup or two dedicated to community made custom tracks (like that's ever gonna happen). Let us make emblems again. Just ban them from online. We know that there will be inappropriate content on the kart then.
It may be controversial. But I actually want way more items in the new Mario Kart. I think having a bunch new items, on a bunch of new tracks. (That would be a lot longer to counterbalance the items) would be really exciting. The items would range in a fair way, even with some items only being allowed to be used once a race. (For instance, the banzai bill. The Blue Shell would return to only affecting 1st and those caught in the blast while the Banzai Bill would blast through anyone in its way towards first. But unlike a blue shell, it's not guaranteed to hit first, it can pass 1st and explode nothing. Boom different items for similar uses but in a fan way) That's my opinion though. To me, larger, longer races with more people and different items would make the game very fresh
I feel you have some good points here but others that miss the mark. Gonna disregard the disagreement I have with what I assume alludes to your rant on why you have issues with MK8 as a whole and focus on specifics. Regional/Worldwide Roulette: I think the choice of three tracks is ideal given there are twelve players in a race and the random choice is still there. It keeps things fresh and doesn't prevent a course from always being nuked, infusing variety. The wider that is, the ironically more likely a track is nuked so the versatility of the player is kept down. Increase to five at absolute most, is what I'd suggest. Far as being able to choose whatever whenever, that's what the prerogative of private lobbies are for, and the increased ability to find those lobbies as of late. Your solution also keeps it taking way too long before a game gets to start, period. Wii Representation: Yeah "fair" is not the word I'd ever use for this. It's not just overkill in quantity, with 11/16 nitro options in the game as a whole and half of Wii's originals in the Booster alone. It's also redundant with the Tour courses and base game courses. Even Wii's retro selection is overdone with no other conceivable reason why we have the return of SNES Mario Circuit 3 of all things. Relying on 7's retros at least makes sense given Tour's basis on that engine and the design of that game with fan-favorite retros in mind to begin with. Neither applies to Wii. Boo: I feel counterplay like that negates the point of the Boo, but any form of knowing the Boo is about to steal your item would be appreciated. Let a player adjust to their first item being lost and change plans. Mushroom in First: Absolutely can't agree with this. Not only would it allow those in first to get shortcuts that are meant for those who need to play catchup, but the accidental defensive properties of it benefit from someone having managed to bring it from a lower place INTO first. Thundercloud: Goodness no. The entire point of the Coins as an item in recent games is as a lack of active benefit. It's actually a punishment for being comfortable in first. Perhaps it worked better in Vanilla 8 but even here it accomplishes this. I'd adjust it so Boos cannot steal it as to keep the frontrunner from having the burden removed passively.
@@CreepProduceThe real problem with the "bad" characters was that they took up spots of the 3 remaining Mario Kart Wii characters. But now, every Mario Kart Wii character is in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

If Nintendo actually DOES end up porting 8 into the next console, they should definitely go the route of Smash Ultimate with the concept of being able to play every track, but go the Mario Party route with the name, and call it “Super Mario Kart” as opposed to MK8 definitive edition. Especially if they hold off on announcing it until 2027 which would mark the franchise’s 35th anniversary (I personally hope they don’t wait until then 😅).

Give the other Mario Karts more attention (GCN, N64, DS) 9. Bring back older karts, more specifically the barrel train 10. Exclusive items from Double Dash must make a comeback Now I know that not all of these will apply, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the closest we've gotten to a perfect Mario Kart ever, but it's still flawed and should be fixed ASAP.
