Nobody ever thought they would see Glenn Tipton and KK Downing share the same stage again. The fact that Rob can still do it after all these years and decades really puts Priest a cut above most hard rock and metal bands.
Hey Ladies. Thank you so much for doing part one of my reaction. I'm looking forward to the upcoming part 2 with the next song Living After Midnight! And yes, Donna, that is Glenn Tipton on stage with the band wearing the leather jacket and ball cap. At this point it had been about 14 years since Glenn Tipton was officially diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2008 so his appearance had changed quite a bit and he was not able to move around stage as much as he used to. But, you can bet that nothing would hold him back from joining his Brother's on stage for this induction into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame so he got up there and I think, considering everything, did a stellar performance. Definitely watch for him in Part 2 of this reaction! Gord 🤘

Thanks for the video. :D
Yes, that was Glenn Tipton (guitar) onstage - he was the guitarist wearing a cap and glasses but he couldn't move much onstage because of his condition... K.K. Downing (guitar) did the solo; he founded the band, so he had to be there for the induction (Even though he quit the band and had already formed K.K.'s Priest by 2020)... and Richie Faulkner (guitar) is Judas Priest's current guitarist since 2011. Rob Halford (vocals), Ian Hill (bass) and Scott Travis (drums) - all current members, were there... Sadly, Dave Holland (drums), who was Judas Priest's drummer from 1980 to 1989, had passed away in 2018. They did have former member Les Binks (drums) onstage, who had been in Judas Priest from 1977 to 1979. He did play briefly in K.K.'s Priest but stepped down and was replaced by drummer Sean Elg. Their producer and current touring guitarist Andy Sneap was not onstage but has been touring in Glenn Tipton's absence since 2018. Al Atkins is the original Priest singer but left before they got a record deal. Most of the early history is a bit of a mystery. I have read there a band that broke up that had the Judas Priest name then another band adopted the name. I think the lineup just before getting signed was Al Atkins, Ian Hill, KK Downing and Criss "congo" Campbell on drums. They get signed and Rob Halford on vocals they add Glen Tipton and I think John Hinch on drums. Too many drummers to keep them straight.
@@ctfan1486 I know the history... but Al Atkins never recorded an album w/ Judas Priest. The same story w/ so many other bands: AC/DC never recorded an album ( 1 single) w/ singer Dave Evans... Iron Maiden never recording w/ early singers Paul Day or Dennis Wilcock... before Paul Di'Anno... Dream Theater only recorded a demo w/ first singer Chris Collins... L.A. Guns had a number of singers (including Axl Rose!) before Phil Lewis joined the band for their debut album... Skid Row only did demos w/ vocalist Matt Fallon before Sebastian Bach joined... Anthrax originally had vocalist John Connelly (Nuclear Assault) before Neil Turbin did their debut album... Testament were called Legacy when Steve 'Zetro' Souza was the vocalist... After he left to join Exodus, Chuck Billy (vocals) joined and they recorded Testament's debut album 'The Legacy'... So, do all these vocalists count as 'founding members' of the bands that broke big without them?
Hello from northeast Ohio! As a Generation X'er, Judas Priest was one of the bands I grew up on. It's great to see your reaction to this. They can still put on a good show almost half a century after forming! ... Happy birthday to Kathy! My birthday is on September 24th, I'll be 51. Cheers!
Thanks again for some Priest!!! I love the song BUT doing it so long in my old band I got tired of playing it. It was a crowd pleaser, though!! It took way too long for them to get inducted. You’re awesome as usual!!! 🤘🤘🎸🎸❤️

The bass player, one of the original band members. He was a jem of great value. He stayed in the background giving up the stage for Rob Helfferd, K K Dowing, and Glen Tipton over the years. In the late 70 Judas Priest didn't have regular drummer.
