- Cooking and baking in the kitchen can be so much more fun when all things work together and that includes a quick and easy place to get rid of Trash, Recycling and Compost Waste, which is why I built super efficient Kitchen, under sink disposal system that is quick and easy to use and doesn't take away from the cooking and baking, I used 1/2" Baltic Birch plywood and a pair of full extension steel drawer slides with the Easy Close feature and they are what make this project. It's easy to make and everyone who uses it absolutely loves it. I painted my white with easy to clean paint and it quickly became the highlight of the kitchen.

Great idea Collin! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks of taking a moment to comment
Fantastic work, Colin! Nicely done! 😃
This is a great way to keep the trash, specially if you have pets! (And I have 5 cats! 😂)
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Keeps composting waste of the counter top too, which was my biggest goal
This is great because I'm working on my kitchen doors and drawers 😊
Very useful! Thank you for sharing.
Very cleaver idea 👍🏻
Thanks, yes and pretty easy to make
Nicely done Colin! 👍👍
I loved it thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video Colin. Did you build the kitchen cabinets originally?
🤘🤘🤘
Yes I did
👍
Thanks for the idea. I can modify it to use in my linen closet.
You nailed through the finished front of the cabinet door? Wouldn't that require a touch up repair?
Maybe, double sided tape would have avoid that.
I think he used a 23 ga. pin nailer. These small pins will hardly be noticed.
Yes, Sillyturner is correct, I used a 23 gauge pinner
I did something very similar years ago under my kitchen sink. I made a pullout garbage can. The can has a flip up lid so I designed it such that when you slid the door/drawer open the lid would self open, and when you slid it back the lid was pressed down. I achieved that by attaching a board underneath the top of the cabinet. As you might guess, It required a specific garbage can and it took a bit of tweaking, but I'm happy with it. Also there's some space for a few supplies on the base of the pull out, I added some 3" strips, also I used some shorter wood strips to align where the garbage can goes. For the sliding mechanism, I used traditional drawer runners, the cheap kind sold in Home Depot, nothing special.
My issue now is that there's a wire spring for lid that has broken so only one side has a spring... I wished I knew where to find them and what they're called so I can replace the springs... If someone knows the name of those wire spring things and where to get them, I'd appreciate it.
Great idea ... thanks
Collin, it's time to take the trash out! Hop to it!
I'm on it ...
