WE DWARVES ARE NATURAL SPRINTERS; VERY DANGEROUS OVER SHORT DISTANCES. Love how you dive balls deep into the repairs on this utter beast of a machine. That thing scares the shit out of me just looking at it.
Gratz on the rebuild on your beast of a machine. I don't care what people say about the brand new equipment in farming in my eyes the Old 50s-late 70s equipment is made tough as F$$$ & It does its job & Last 10 times longer than anything they manufacture today. When it comes to repairs its pretty straight forward & no need to replace computers etc. I can't imagine working on today's equipment when it has issues same as cars & trucks its a bloody nightmare to work on them & way they are built from factory.
Chris I know you are detail oriented but in my experience you might want to wipe off all the old oil and grease off the assembly. In the near future if something leaks you will notice it rather quickly vs adding another layer onto those surfaces. Ask me how I know this ...brand new seals leak occasionally and let go ...it was an expensive lesson for sure...great project and video thanks for bringing us along
My dad friend /cowork was killed doing that same job . They worked John Deere dealership. Jack failed on him crushed him . Be careful. Just bring back memories.
FINALLY! I have been watching that front end wobble for ages and warning you hey you need to check that front end... You got very lucky on the housing. That bushing was getting paper thin. Good job. Now no more wobbly front end and I don't have to beat you up about it anymore. Be careful going back under that tractor. It should last another 48 years...
Great work! I think this is going to be your best season ever! You have such a good work ethic that we are all hoping for your success! Please remember when heating a race or bearing, so you don’t damage or soften it do not heat above 275 degrees. If you are freezing a shaft or bearing and a regular freezer doesn’t shrink it enough, you can use dry ice to get it much colder (smaller) , if that is still not enough then you can pore acetone over the dry ice, the extreme evaporation temperature of the acetone will drop it as much as another 80 degrees! Just NEVER put dry ice into acetone, always has to be the other way around for safety!
That groove on your yolk that looks like where the seal rides they should've sent you a speedy sleeve to make sure it's a good fit but maybe they don't make them but it's gonna look good once you're done
Great job Duffy loved it never miss one can't wait for next one thank you for sharing and your time was really great can't belive how bad all the bushings were and thin wow nice job.
Tech tip with those inner bushes and Inner bearing races just take welder a put a bead of weld around the inside the will shrink and fall right out as they cool
I use 6x6 and 4x4 stacked up and a 2x6 under my ratchet when I don't have help to hold it when working underneath, takes longer but you can get somethings done when you are alone
we put a pressed on bearing on a PTO shaft, put the shaft in the freezer, bearing in the oven, next day slid the bearing on the shaft where it was to be, and when it came to temp, on! put ball joints on a car that way, goes easy!
The pro should run off counter shaft which turn all the time when the engine is running till you mash the clutch then rpm makes it turn faster is that the way you have yours.

Hello Chris endless times great job. Is it okay I come by and help out? You have a good rest have a good one.
My dad friend /cowork was killed doing that same job . They worked John Deere dealership. Jack failed on him crushed him . Be careful. Just bring back memories.
Looking forward to seeing all of your hard work put to use this season.
On some of those hard to reach spots you ought to install some remote grease fittings

Great progress. L9ve the 7520
You should be able to get a speedy sleeve for that yoke. Some local supply house that sells seals and such should be able to get something for you.
Sharing your videos Duffy with my Facebook family 👪 and friends!
Your 7520 is my favorite tractor 🚜 on UA-cam

A machine shop should be able to machine that yoke and sleeve it or check into a speedy sleeve
I think we need to take up a collection for new Firestone rubber on all 4 🌽 ers of the 7520.
Good work .....Chris
Hope you got that snap ring going the right direction.
A 1 job 👏 duff
Nice
The Beast is alive !
You are a amazing mechanic. I can't believe J. D. didn't put diff. lock in that beast. What were they thinking ?
7520 Straight MERICA there all you need is a cold beer and several thousand acres to run
What size of rain cap for muffler.
The pro should run off counter shaft which turn all the time when the engine is running till you mash the clutch then rpm makes it turn faster is that the way you have yours.
Duffy are you referring to Abilene machine , Abilene Kansas?
Yes I am have bought alot from them
Its not leaking, just marking its space
Don't forget to fix that fuel line
Spray some cleaner on everything you are going to get dirt in it take the time and clean it
Purrs like a kitten
what do you do in your spare time?
There is No spare time in Farming......
@@stevehetrick2676 thats why i put the coment
I travel and work and eat good food. Took 10 days off in January have some trips planned this summer
@@DuffyAg do it while still young. at 50 you kinda fucked
Thats heavy duty repairs man.can the 7520 shift from 2wd to 4wd for road travel ?
NO ...they were full-time 4wd like the 8630-40's etc , not like the MFWD tractors .
How about a wear sleeve for that 700 dollar yoke
The state of Massachusetts needs to buy you a new big tractor.
The state doesn't buy me anything tho
Liked until the crap music👎👎👎💩
