They are still really good looking sports cars even by today's standards.
They look better than ANY trash Camaro or challenger or mustang of 2020 not even a contest.
They look even cooler now actualy
@@GreatBirdOfHope I couldn't agree more.
Slow af tho
I myself am a BIG fan of the third gen Camaros.. I have a 1989 iroc z convertible that has the 5 speed and I am absolutely in love with my car.. I am getting ready to rescue a 1992 z28 25th anniversary heritage addition Camaro that has been sitting outside in one spot thank GOD on gravel for over 7 years. I have been working for 4 years to buy that car.. My passion for these cars has got me out to rescue as many as possible from biodegrating into the ground.. Thank you for posting this very stunning beautiful car..
Just watched this, 10 year old video... hope this car remains the same. Value has tripled in past ten years. Super nice car.
Pretty sure the radios on 87 Iroc Camaros will only play Whitesnake.
i got lucky, i had the guns and roses option in mine
I got an 89 RS and its stuck playing Free Bird...
Austin Frazier dont forgrt motley crue or van halen
Austin Frazier No Def Leppard man
I can see the hot senior girls with that bleached aqua net hair all over it....nighttrain on 11
Dream car n I'm 21 been n love with irocZ28 since a little kid
These cars remind me of big hair, short skirts and rock n roll.
Was good times man!
listen to that door close....sounds like a pickup truck tailgate closing 😂😂
Gotta check it out may be a pig with lip stick or just cause window was dwn sounded that way bubba.
I love these cars. I grew up in the 80’s and always loved the styling. Kid I know bought a beautiful used ‘86 probably around ‘90. He couldn’t afford it and did an insurance job to get the money. It was a beautiful car. Had I prior knowledge I may have tried to buy it from him. Some people are so dumb.
My uncle bought a brand new IROC-Z with dark red paint when it first came out. I absolutely loved the exterior design and the sound of the engine.
I agree, there's not many out there that are this nice. Thanks for taking a look!
I AM SOOOOO PROUD TO SAY I HAVE THIS CAR IN MY GARAGE
Low 14 second quarter mile times were fast in the 80's. I had a '89 IROC, Z, 305 TPI and a '89 Formula 350. I owned both at the same time. They were great cars !!
Yup, it was either this or the 5.0 Mustang.. this is the epitome of my H.S. years.. scratch that, the epitome of my youth! A perfect car in my opinion.. just gorgeous all the way around..
A car is at its most beautiful stage when stock 😍
very nice car......i remember them being a "breath of fresh air" for us Camaro owners back in the day. Maybe they didn't have tons of horsepower but the styling was definitely on the cool side.
Still my most favorite car of all time! Lamborghini, Porche, Ferrari.......YOU CAN KEEP 'EM!!!
I got this car as my first car, black and gold two tone. Im glad my dad is into these kinds of cars
Being an '80's baby myself, I do realize that the rear louvers were an iconic styling touch, but I personally never cared for them. The rest of the car is capital G GORGEOUS, however!!!
landyachtfan79 I’m a 99 and I want this car so fucking bad
The rear louvers were actually a $210 factory option back then.
I had this exact car. Same year, color, 5.7 Liter. Red, everything in this video. Brings back memories. Miss that car. Only reason I ended up selling it was because of an electrical issue hat we couldnt find including dealership. Agreed about Louvers. They were noisy no matter what you did to try & quiet them. Took them off mine and limo tinted those windows. Damn I miss that car. Funny thing was I grew in a small town of approx 5000. There were 3 other iroc’s in town. All good friends of mine at the time. Black/gold with 305, white/black with 305, & maroon/black with 400. Think that one was an 89. Would spend weekends making changes to each other’s ride. Chief of police was cool. He would go with us out to race and clock us for fun. God I wish I could go back to a time where things were so simple & cars didn’t look like these ugly ass cars now. Example Pontiac GTO. When they brought it back they turned it into (what we called foreign cars when I was a kid) rice burner!! 😂
@@michaelbrown7726 EdyDelKev who likes to post on these IROC vid's says there was NEVER a 5.7 liter t-top IROC made in 1987.
Which shows he has NO CLUE about these cars. They weren't offered till mid year in 1987. I tried to get him to make a little wager but he then backed out when I posted numerous videos about them. I wanted his address to send him copies of my order form, delivery papers and a letter from the GM Headquarters in Warren, MI when I got mine ..... to big of a chicken to comply. It would be like taking candy $ from a baby. I even told him I'd donate the $$ to charity. I even sent him where I lived, he could come to OHIO and I'd show him in person. He talks a big man game, but has obviously been neutered because he has no balls.
Mine was loaded, only no-no i had was leather, wanted cloth because I ordered a black interior to go with the Bright Blue Metallic exterior. Stickered at $19,993.00 back then. The t-tops were an $866.00 option, almost as much as the $1045.00 it cost for the 5.7 🤔. I got it for quite a bit less with the GM Employee discount. $16,660.00 to be precise.
Sold it in 2005 with 20,200 original miles on it to a guy that already had 2 other '87 IROC's, 1 was Yellow and the other one Red ..... he also had a '69 Z28. I knew it was going to a good home and it was staying in OHIO. North Canton, OH to be exact. I sold it for $15k back then, which was pretty good money, but he already knew what he was getting. He never questioned my selling price.
I kept all the paperwork for it except the window sticker, I owed the buyer Mark that much as I knew he'd like to have it (I still have a copy). But all the other paperwork I kept. I've ordered a few new vehicles, motorcycle, ATV's & Side x Sides over the years and kept all the paperwork to those also.
I'm glad you like it. Thanks for checking it out!
Love it.. Once the escalade is paid off I want one of these or a trans am. These are awesome cars.. Real sports cars.. I don't care that it's not the fastest.... I miss mine and will have another.thanks for a great video..
It's nice to find one that hasn't been messed with at all. Thanks for checking it out!
No, I'm afraid that one sold quite a while ago. Thanks for checking it out!
I'm glad you like it. It really is a nice clean example. Thank you for watching!
Glad you like it......thanks for watching!
Bought one of these brand new when I was a senior in high school. Mine was the darker red metallic. Had the 5.7 (only 1000 were made and I know that 2 were totaled very early on by the same kid). Mine had every option except the sliding cargo curtain screen thing in the back. Mine had the Bose, leather, T-Tops, etc. Traded it in in 1990 with 3000 miles on it. Car kept stalling at red lights. It would start right back up but no CEL and took it to the dealer a few times and they couldn't replicate it. But yeah, blasting some 80's hair band rock with the T-Tops off was so cool
hopefully i'll be getting an 88 this week. its the 4 speed with overdrive. black color, looks awesome. will definetly be one of the coolest cars at my school
I was born in 2003 but I grew up around everything 80s and this is my dream car but the t top 85 Iroc-Z28 with and 350 CI engine in either red or black in color.
Glad you like it ...thanks for watching!
This generation Camaro is my personal favorite. Awesome example of this. Thank you for sharing.
So happy to say that I'm 15 turning 16 in December and I'll be able to drive my dads iroc
I have owned lots of IROC camaros in the past and one had 11K miles. They were not very fast no matter what mileage they have. They did drive and handle fairly well though.
Brings back memories of my 1984 Z28. My new 2016 Camaro RS with a V6 has 335HP Amazing how engine technology progressed. I think this body style and the new Gen 6 Camaro are the two Generations that look the best.
Thanks for checking it out!
They really are great cars...they really handle the curves well too. I'm glad you like it....thanks for watching!
Thanks for checking it out my friend!
Mine was Monte SS. I did want this car though. Beautiful.
I smoked my friends 5.0 early model mustang in my 85 Iroc-Z. Both were stock, and we both had auto's. Its wasn't even close.
Trans am would smoke both that crapmaro and that musty 5.0
Shoe Game99 - Same car idiot, unless you mean the rare Turbo T/A
Shoe Game99 yea idk bout that but at least Chevy in business still
@@airmax1690lol, T/A & IROC had the same motor
Thanks for watching Jos!
That's very true....thanks for watching!
This is exactly how I want my 87' Camaro IROC Z to look with the same color and low millage too.
Better get one..80s muscle cars flying up in value.
Been my dream car since childhood, so much beauty
Beautiful Car! What can you buy in 2021 that looks this good! Nothing!!
You're right, it is getting harder to find them in this kind of condition. Thanks for watching!
It IS gorgeous! This was my favorite toy car as a kid
it is a beautiful car. I had one for 10 years, an 88 L98 Iroc. It was nice b/c it was rear wheel drive. I remember they sounded better then they drove. It had a lot of "tach out" once it got up to about 4500 rpm it would fall flat on its face. I now have a 06 Monte Carlo SS with the 5.3 and it will blow the doors of my old IROC. I do miss the sound and rear wheel drive.
I had one from 89 to last year! It was 305tpi with 5 speed with 3:43 rear end all factory mine had leather seats t-tops had ever thing u could get n 87 got it from the show room the man that owned the dealer ship it was his car!!! Had 700.0 miles, I was 18 n i thought kool!!! great fun machine i put over 8900.00 just n bolt ons the valve covers were never removed the whole time she idle with 45lbs oil presure not for drag racing it spun bad when i got it to hook it started breaking stuff!!!
Amazing car! I have the 1988 version which is basically the same options but the paint is starting to get worn since I drive it on gravel roads... I got a pretty good deal on it since it has been in my family since about 1992
I used to have a '90 with the 350- nice car. Mine was black with red leather interior, no t-tops. What a fun car!
These are probably a good investment right about now too. I expect them to keep climbing in value. Thanks for taking a look!
Thanks for taking a look!
Thanks for taking a look at it.
1/4 mile in 15 hours... Great car to buy and hold onto.
It's getting more difficult to find them in this sort of condition. Thanks for checking it out!
I have an original IROC-Z too. Love it!
Yeah the foxbody 5.0 yup both sweet rides
SIMPLY BEAUTIFULL
+harrison hollywood Glad you like it. Thanks for watching!
They really are great cars. Thanks for taking a look at this one!
Thanks, we appreciate it!
Beautiful car! I have an 87 also. Mine is blue with the 5 liter and a 5 speed though. Lots more fun!
Thanks for watching!
beautiful car and this is coming from a mustang fan
What a beauty still my favourite camaro
marvellous cars; I had one and loved it. Miss it to this day.
I had the same also.. I wish kids today knew that corollas with the letter s behind the name.doesn't make it a sports car.... LOVE it
I'm afraid this one has already been sold. Thanks for taking a look at it though. You can check their website at FastLaneCars to see if they get any more of them in.
Other than a brand new ZL1, this is my dream car.
They are fun to drive...they really handle well too.
That thing would be the perfect weekend warrior. Just cruise
My dad had a 87 5.0 GT! It was fast! It had 21 psi turbo and a supercharged up exhaust!!! He used to eat irocs for lunch! Go Stang!
xanderluv supercharged exhaust?? Lmao
yea it was LOUD!!!James
***** there's no such thing as a supercharged exhaust
James really
***** you can supercharge an engine but not an exhaust 😂
My 86 iroc was a manual 5spd with t-tops and power everything. Had the 5.0 305 with 4barrel carb.
Love that car mine was 5 speed
thats kinda funny he's doing the test run in a 35 mph zone man that's an awesome car i wish i had one
Stunning 🏁 racecar moves fast beep beep and you Are gone lovely chevrolet color absolutly stunning motor powerfull and big thanks jeff and Jordan for this 😊
A fantastic example of a 3rd generation "F-body". Super clean
They were a powerhouse!!!
Oh yeah, the Iroc was a pretty strong runner for it's day. I had a 85 Trans Am back then, which was pretty much the same car.
This car is a beauty
Nice car! There are not many left. I still have the 87 5.7 I bought new. My car is all original except for the vette valve covers I put on the car a week after i bought it. Your is fully optioned out while I chose the stripper option. AM radio, A/C delete, side molding, and auto. Oh, I did opt for one luxury item, leather. I had to daily drive this back in the day so it has 80K or so on the clock.
It really is a great looking car...strong runner too.
They were pretty evenly matched with the mustangs. It all depended on how each car was equipped. They would both run about mid 14's in the quarter on average. I always felt that the Camaro and TransAm would out handle the mustangs in the curves though.
Beautiful car! Thank you for sharing.
Nice looking cars, but all bark and no bite unless the owner decided to build it up.
Yep. Didn't even bark 2nd.
Back then was quick an loved bolt ons. Ultra reliable as well .. altho I'm a Mustang guy ....2 Stangs in my collection 1 GM.
Beautiful Classic Car,I currently own the 1991 Camaro RS,It has 94.000 original miles...305 TBI...Second owner....Supper clean,But it needs new paint....anyways Nice Car,great video !!!
One of the nicest I've seen so far.
That auto dimrearview mirrior is rear.only in little over 900 iroc z28 for 87. Beautiful car.
This car looks beautiful.....
I know, it's strange seeing cars from my childhood starting to be considered classics.
That's what I had at the time, an 85 Trans Am with the 5.0 TPI
That is sharp. I would totally own something like that.
Just got my 91 z28 on the road!!! YEHAW
i had a 86 IROC Z,,it was nice car,,love it
My dad has this exact car. I’m trying to buy it from him he won’t come off it. 87 IROC. Rode in this car so much as a kid in the 90s
these have been among my favorite cars of them all ever since i first saw one, in fact i've got one , it's black, got it in 1991, but with an antenna, rechargeable batteries and a remote control :D i'm a sucker for the 80s and especially American 80s cars, the other absolute favorites of mine from that era are the Corvette C4 (my dream to own one of them sometime) and of course the Pontiac Trans Am (oh you know why, KnightRider)
they've such a highly distinguishable style and timeless looks!
Very clean! It's hard to find them in this good of condition.
My dad has a black one, exact year, make and model, his has way less original miles and no louvers on the back window. He bought it brand new in '87 and I remember thinking how fast it was 😊.... Unfortunately, he suffered a stroke in 2013 and he can no longer drive.
I have a 1985 iroc z28 camaro with a 383 stroker engine!!
I find it amazing, for that price, there are any IROC Z's like this sill for sale. Im sure there has to be 10's of thousands like me who dreamed of having this car as a teenager and can easy afford to buy it. I guess I could with payments, but dont have a place to store/park it indoors.
Yes... behind the 305 motor only. All years actually from 1985-1990, and then on the 91-92 z28. Iroc name was gone by that point. In 1987 the base power plant was a 4bbl 305 with a 5 speed!
Great video, wish there was a shot of the speedo meter and tachometer when the gas pedal was flored
I would love to own that car
That is kind of unique.
