- rebuilding and installing a dana 60 solid front axle in my 1940 chevy flatbed truck. Re gearing the ring an pinion, and rebuilding the kingpins and brakes. Adding single rear wheel hubs with longer wheel studs
Absolutely we want to see the next steps of completing this neck snapper, don’t deprive us of our need to watch others do what we wish we could lol thanks for the humor and absolutely loving the videos, keep them coming please
Will do!
We want to see it all from fabrication to wiring…very neat work ! Also impressive shop tidiness an space management 👍
Thank you, will record some more!
Definitely was a banger!! Had Brooke cracking up! Keep up the great videos! It’s almost ready to rip!
Thanks guys!......soon!
Sorry I had to laugh, been through all those struggles myself. Glad you were brave enough to show them! Yes want to see it all!
Lol frustrating but makes the results that much more rewarding, thanks for watching
Great work air ride suspension looks sweet! Yes more videos.....can't wait to see it ready to ride 👍
Thank you!
Like to see everything, especially the road test, wheels/tires install, then hauling the first load with handling and performance info!
For sure, thanks for watching!
Yes definitely, your work is like simplified precision. That truck is sweet!
Thank you, more coming soon
Looking good!
lol! Hate to say it but, its nice to see shit does happen in the One Bull Garage but with patience a big hammer and a long lever the axle is worthy of your truck! great work! and fun to watch!
Thanks Dale, sadly this is usually how all my projects go lol, most the time I'm just trying to look smart for the internet. Luckily I didn't have to bust out my biggest hammer!
Great work
Thanks!
Great work, let me know if you need any more LINE-X!
Thank you!
Reminds me when we were bagging my Sonoma hahaha
Lol good times!
Read thru the comments and didn’t see what I was looking for so I’m sorry if I’m repeating some else’s question….. where did you get the airbag 4 link mount?
All of the brackets were made by me, 1/4" plate, some things I laminated with a layer of 1/8" on top of the 1/4" for strength & looks. Sometimes I buy a bunch of link tabs from thorbros.com to save time
What air bags did you use?
Airlift dominator 2600
Why did you swap the front hubs?
They were dually wheel hubs, im not running a dually rear axle, so the front wheels would have stuck out way wider in the front, there was nothing wrong with them
@@onebullgarage hmm. I am using a 2005 F550 dually chassis as the donor for my 1958 Chevy LCF project. I am concerned that the front axle (Dana Super 60) will be too wide. I am now wondering if I can swap the front hubs like you did to make it more narrow.
@@JosephYehle yes you can, just order SRW hubs
@@onebullgarage Do you know how much narrower the SRW hubs are compared to the front hubs the axle originally had? Also, what year Dana 60 did you use?
@@JosephYehle about 4 inches per hub, not sure on exact size difference, if you have a dually chassis why not run dually wheels? Also I believe it was an 87' chevy k2500 axle
