Restoratin' the Fuel Tank in a Bullnose Ford!

Time to replace the fuel pump in my old truck so i decide it would be a great time to finally pull and clean up the old fuel tank. It is original after all and 41 years old... should be fine. Only leaks a little.

Sweet.I helped repair a fuel tank from a 52 Willy's by soldering a buttload of pinholes in it from it setting years.It was under the driver's seat,so you can guess how important that was.Damn sure wish they inner tank coating back then.Glad you decided to change the sending unit now,instead of 2 years down the road when it fell apart.I'm going to look into getting that coating for some bike tanks,so they don't rust.Appreciate the info.That all looked about as fun as having a tooth pulled by way of rectum.Meow.

Oh yeah it was not fun at all but i sure enjoy the thing not leaking anymore! I learned about that redkote from my buddys at Oreily's. so far seems like great stuff. I've seen vicegrip garage use it as well. its about 20$ per qt.

@@Ethanthefenceman Thanks.Now that Chineseum is unobtainable,I'd rather coat the tanks than try to order 1.About the same price too,but I bet I'd get 3 of my tanks lined with a quart .
