My texlaxed hair was longer and more healthy.
When I was relaxed, my hair grew wayyy better and more levelled (now my hair is uneven and I have to get it trimmed frequently, like twice every month), and moisturising my hair was chap CHAP!
Reason being, the hair is being stretched, which equals less tangles and mats. I can vouche that my hair is wayyy better being stretched. My texture does not like being tangled then having to detangle it. My hair is doing so much better being blow dried, less tangles, less breakage, and better to manipulate
I’m still texlaxed. And I still enjoy your videos. Witty for life
This made me so happy! Thank you!!! 🤗💙
I went natural a little over two years ago and at first I loved it but now I have a head full of curls that are very difficult to maintain. If I go one day without combing I am struggling with knots. I honestly don’t want to go back to chemicals but it looks like I might be. I can’t really style my hair much either I am always wearing a ponytail. I do miss my relaxed hair. I can’t straighten my hair now either with a flat iron I tried and it just poofs back up within an hour.
Majority of what you said is my experience with natural/relaxed hair. The biggest difference for me was retaining more length
and a lot less breakage relaxed than natural. I was natural for about 97% of my life.
Mmmm, I forgot about retention. Glad you founded what works for you! 🤣
I’m terrified of heat damage too! I love my curls 😭❤️
My texlaxed hair was more fragile and required more maintenance than my natural hair. Bone straight relaxed hair was the easier than texlaxed but since I prefer textured styles, natural hair is my favorite of them all. My natural hair is stronger without the complications of touch ups, demarcation lines, two textures on one strand, etc.
@batonbeauty what are you talking about? The video topic is about what her favorite hair state is. Commenters, like me, are talking about theirs. That's all I did. Absolutely no shade or criticism was intended. I cannot begin to understand why you would assume there was and respond so nastily. I didnt say my hair was damaged as a texlaxed head, I said it was more fragile and needed more maintenance. What exactly has you so bothered by my statements?
I texlaxed because of how healthy and strong your hair was/is. , I'm glad I did, I was natural for 12 years until last month. I am loving my new hair! Im keeping up with your old regimen to keep it long and strong. I'm so glad I found your channel!
Can u please tell me what is texlaxed? What I got from it is a relaxer that does not stay on as long just to get a little straight 🤔 I want to go texlaxed but dont know exactly what to do Ugh.
@@Onlyme41 All I did was slap arelaxer(with 3tbs EVOO added) on my flat ironed hair for 5 minutes and within a week my hair looked the same as it did 100% natural, just didn't revert like crazy when it was 100% natural. I love it, my hair doesn't morph into other hairstyles thought the day now. Humidity means NOTHING to my hair now. ALL SMILES!
@@awwyeahme2 mine either, im 4b/c/z lol
wmignon Girl I am ready for this
wmignon ok but what happened to loving your natural hair
I am actually contemplating texlaxing my hair. I stopped using relaxers because of the constant scalp burns and my migraines but now I am realizing I loved my relaxed hair. I think I am going to texlax it myself and not go to a professional. It was very long and grew fast. It was super healthy. Thanks for the video.
Your freakin hair is gorgeous!!!
Love the change in background. The colorful bg makes you stand out more :)
Thank you!!! I was worried I picked the wrong color lol
@@prettywitty77 You did good; it fits you well.
My hair is at my boob and I have MAJOR shrinkage. I’m embracing it as well.
I wouldn't know which to pick myself because u have given strong arguments on both sides. Im so excited to be riding along in this new hair journey :)
💙💙💙
I decided to texlax because of you😩😩😩
Khryssie O wouldn’t you want your natural hair again? You would have to start over
@@dewups2131 or transition
Love this backdrop 😍
Aww THANKS!!!!
My texturized hair use to matt up like nobodys business because my natural hair is 4a Medium porosity (unknown to me at the time) so adding a texturizer turned it into high porosity and made it way too loose than what I was going for.. I never knew my natural texture until I started growing it out past my texturized hair and noticed my hair still was defined and curly with my new growth and the kicker is the look I was always going for is how my natural hair grows anyways its just at the time I didn't know anything about natural hair and that it needed moisture A.K.A water instead of slapping strictly grease like most of us were taught back in the day. I use to style my texturized hair with water and product assuming it wouldn't work for natural black hair being uneducated plus I always kept my hair cut so I just never knew my actual hair until I decided to grow it out because I got bored with the typical low fade most of my life. Its crazy how alot of us have lived most of our lives not even knowing our natural textures and even how to take care of it until recent times its mind boggling to me.
I get a lot of single strand knots. I cannot stand them. 😩😫
Tiffany ya my hair is super curly and frizzy I get tangles more tho .. maybe braiding will help ?
Keeping it stretched ( twists, braids, buns will keep the hair from coiling around one another. Also keep your hair hydrated and sealed so the hair won't rub about against one another 💯🤗
CurlyNella1011 but I love my curls tho I don't want to hide it
Tiffany Thats why i texturized. The knots were driving me so crazy i decided to texturize or shave and throw it through the window.
Glad you are still loving the natural....
Your natural hair looks so gorgeous on you💕
Repping the 305! LOVE how you keep it real for the people! I must say...I am loving your hair either way. I can see how texlaxed could be more manageable in some ways, while natural is a bit more tenuous to care for. I love your videos. So do my girls.
I never heard of texlaxed hair but I’m learning something new & I want to do something new to my hair. I’m natural like 4b-4c. Wash & go’s are my enemy rn lol. I’ll try this tho. What’s the best thing to use tho?
You find a good relaxer for your hair type and put it in for half the time.
I suggest watching multiple video before you try it out
Yasss sis I understand what ya saying.... when I was relaxed my hair had that rougher feel to it as well... now natural my hair does feel sooo much softer! Btw, loving the baby blue background 😍😍😍😍
Loved this viedo subscribing!! I hate how other people just bash it without being honest
My hair is currently bleached, my curls are still intact, but I really want to texlax because my hair is extremely thick and I’m always getting knots. My curls are already pretty loose so I’m concerned that a texlax will ruin my curl pattern, any advice?
Don’t texturize it sounds like you have a very beautiful hair!
I agree with you. I have a pcj softner. My hair is mostly gray so it helps me a lot
I used to textlax when my hair was long, before I did the big chop and went totally natural. My hair is short and I’m considering doing it again. Cuz I don’t want to fully relax. I still want texture and curl definition.
I heard that accent and just knew you from Texas 🙌
My accent is from Mississippi but I live in Texas.🤗
Notification gang 🙋🏽♀️💙 First comment! LOL you & your hair look amazing!!! 🤗
GANG GANG!!!!! Thank you boo!!! 💙😘
The thing I liked was I didn’t have to use as much product and my hair stayed moisturized. And all the other thing you said lol. But I’m natural for 4 years but had to cut it from heat damage. But your curls look tighter to me now. When you first cut it your curls looked looser
Are u natural or texturize now
Have you tried banding your hair? It's helps with the shrinkage
It ruins my curls 😩
@batonbeauty we must not be talking about the same banding method... the one I'm talking about takes only about 5 minutes
I do the same thing...I just put a bonnet on and that's it! Love your hair and this video is very informative. I never texlaxed but I've heard about it. Nice to hear the differences. I went from perm to natural...a little over a year a go...love your videos too!
Do u get single knots with textlaxed hair? They are driving me crazy am thinking of texlaxing 🤔
I have 4c hair that I recently texturized and I still get the knots
Your bone structure and eyes
But your hair is actually nappy though
Wow you are so beautiful
Anybody know the name of this intro song? Sounds fire.
I’m glad that I’m natural! I don’t have to buy relaxer and watch the majority of my hair fall out in the sink. I still have a lot of shed hair, but watching UA-cam has helped me find the right products.
My hair fell out more when I went natural 🤷🏾♀️
batonbeauty bitch why tf are you so pressed about her comment? Like some people’s hair can’t take relaxer so it starts to break. Like the comment section is for people’s opinion so why are u so pressed
batonbeauty how tf do you assume that she’s not happy with going natural and looking for likes just because she said she’s glad she went natural like bitch your fucking dumb
Same... my hair is so fine and can’t handle all those chemicals.
Your hair problems are nothing compared to the problems of 4c hair, there are 4c girls who texlax to get your natural texture 🤔😬
Why are you comparing though? This video is about MY experience. My feelings about MY experience are valid.
@@prettywitty77 your right shouldn't compare its your experience. But tbh your hair is easy to manage 😂 you have a beautiful head of hair btw
Notification gang gang💁💃😘🤗🙌👌
I see ya!!!! ✊🏾 GANGG #TrillWitty
Hi, do you have a video on how you texlaxed your hair?
