Honestly, the artists who are using AI as a way of improving their craft are gonna be the ones who will not be replaced. A lot of twitter "artists" tend to copy an art style and charge up the ass for what is ultimately bad artwork.
Most artists in general are actually absolutely bad at the craft, and charge up the wazoo just because the top tier artists are charging a particular price. I don't know enough about this person though, but the most offended artists I've noticed running amok screaming that AI is evil are typically low to mid tier artists that were using the fact they were artist to get themselves some clout, typically in places such as furry circles. There's a personal touch that you cannot get with AI. It's not something that AI will ever be able to give you. That said, AI is an amazing tool for helping the commissioning process, creating references and stuff. It's very very useful.

Humans will always have the edge over artificial intelligence in terms of art. For art to truly be art it needs to come from expression. That’s something an AI cannot do. When I see AI art I don’t feel anything. I don’t try to figure out how the artist felt because the artist in this case was a soulless algorithm.
I'm a music artist (god I hate saying that lol) and think people over estimate the impact of AI will have on the arts. I view it as a useful tool but not something to be reliant on. at the end of the day regardless of the morality of it being used to generate images or whatever, it doesn't matter. people will do what they will with it but the people who have genuine passion for their art will always want to put that personal touch to things and 9/10 times that will beat anything AI would imagine based on prompts. best to let it live and thrive because it's an interesting tool and it could get people more interested in an art form they don't normally like or practice and then build off of what the AI can't do by learning what's missing and picking up a pen or an instrument themselves. idk if this makes sense but good video either way HO.
Yeah, HO's video kind of touched upon this in a less cynical way, but AI is going to further reveal that 80% of the independent artist profession is marketing and social manipulation. People equipped with a machine that can copy the most renowned artists won't really be given a second thought. To counter your optimism, the worst thing that can happen with AI is that people resign themselves to accepting whatever the AI puts out, instead of understanding the systems more and learning to tweak them as needed, or neglecting post production software like GIMP. I also like to play with Reaper and have spent about a grand in vsts over a decade. HO likening digital audio workstations as very similar to curating AI products is pretty spot on. Unless you get deep into the math and have great memory, the average user tweaks knob and rolls for a taste check.
well this is especially true because Art has always been an Arm's race too and the very next thing that will be made in A.I. will be programs that detect whether art was created entirely by A.I. or not (and who it stole source samples from)
As an artist (not by profession), I really couldn't care less about AI art. I draw things for myself, make art for my personal projects, and occasionally draw for fun. AI art will not change that.

I'm an artist, I use AI for help with references when I can't find anything suitable. The only 'artists' that should fear AI are the artists that churn out the same cookie-cutter slop garbage every day. I've seen artists post paywalled artwork once a week and the only difference in the art is them changing the position of an arm and then taking a month break because they're "overworked". Twitter artists and the people who support them are the worst kinds of people. Also nice copy pasted tattoo artwork at 28:10 miss 'AI is unethical'.
I'm an artist too, its useful for generating references, but not much else. The only people using AI that I have a problem with are retards like shaddiversity posting an image with 6 kneecaps with shading from 5 different directions and no hands then, calling it perfect art and talking about how much his skill at putting in a prompt has grown.
Same. I just use it for small assets that i cant find anywhere (for example, posters that will be hanging in a background, or brickwall patterns for buildings and such)
Can you tell that to graphics people who are loseing their jobs and their work is used to train that abominable inteligence? It's "cool tool" if you are freelancer (and even than you will feel the bite of it eventualy when people will prefer the ai slop over your unique works) at best but to company higher ups all that matter is to push shit out in the cheapest way possible.
That's logically impossible. Truth, goodness, and beauty are the same thing. I mean, I get that you put those in quotes for a reason, but we should stand up for truth unapologetically.

A machine can never replicate art.
Four words in: I believe you mean musician?
Unless you get deep into the math and have great memory, the average user tweaks knob and rolls for a taste check.
well this is especially true because Art has always been an Arm's race too and the very next thing that will be made in A.I. will be programs that detect whether art was created entirely by A.I. or not (and who it stole source samples from)
@@cigarr3870 No, that's the problem. It can ONLY replicate art. Emphasis on replicate.
the face-zoom is incredible
Looking at some of the content this "artist" has posted, I can see why they dislike AI-generated stuff so much.
holyshit she called herself an artist!!!????????????
He did, yes.
My reaction every time I see an AI "artist":
That's a man, baby.
Lmao unit 731. 😂😂😂 i hope you get a uniform for a stream
His name? Really Bad Opinions.
As an artist (not by profession), I really couldn't care less about AI art. I draw things for myself, make art for my personal projects, and occasionally draw for fun. AI art will not change that.
"Fog horning".. I love it.
The thumbnail put me off, since I didn't want to listen to anything that revolting meat based AI art generator had to say. However, I'm very glad I did. This reaction was pure comedy.
From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the blessed machine.
@29:36 Holy ****, no way. Why did I only just hear about this now? I would have 10,000% purchased some Harmful merch made by GAE.
Can I still purchase it?

The Author can't understand common tropes in literature like metaphors and hyperbole.
Her video looks to have less than 30 dislikes.
What a real damned shame.
We better change that. 😉
ho-lee jesus WHAT the fuck is that
the Tim has fallen
Can't spell 'evil' without using 'Tim'.
Man, this is art.
You are an artist. And no AI can replace your briliance.
That woman was cringe. She desperately wants to be seen as a "creative". Not Based at all.
Also nice copy pasted tattoo artwork at 28:10 miss 'AI is unethical'.
music artist here, this is my sentiment as well. it's a cool tool for getting over blocks.
I'd rather be "evil" and correct than "good" and wrong.
That's logically impossible. Truth, goodness, and beauty are the same thing. I mean, I get that you put those in quotes for a reason, but we should stand up for truth unapologetically.
@@innocentsmith6091 It's in quotes because what is good and evil are often based on personal opinion rather then objectivity.
That's an oxymoron.
Twitter “artists”, LOL! What’s next? Calling tumblr users “artists” too?
Harmful Opinions Is God
Shad's literal brother is the UA-camr Jazza. Points about him hating art and artists ignored.
Shad literally strong-arming his brother into giving him praise for his dogshit art and calling him a good artist on stream...

Evil Opinions 731
Oh honey..... I think your artwork is safe from AI theft.... literally middleschooler tier. Making bad art is like a form of drm protection against ai.
Never pictured Harmfulk Opinions being a polished, posh bald fellow. Listening to this though with this Artist on there. With two snippets of the video and the rest their own take. It's.. fascinating.
Great vid, just a note, if you’re gonna mention being a supporter of artists who’ve been discriminated against, maybe don’t be ontologically evil, really takes you out of the video.
Correct, nobody wants to be supported by the literal devil.
How can he be ontologically evil if he's God?
@@SomeQuackingDuck He is the God of the Israelites
Artists, get good..
Why people keep gate keeping the title of artist? Isnt now the competition for the title of "great artist"?
Btw, IP is ismoral, and you cant steal ideas.
Just like what was said on Sargon’s ancient gamergate stream from 2015; his name is “Harmful Opinions.” what do you expect?
Just watched the original video and you spent much of it applying the criticism to yourself. Its super embarrassing for her to fall into a trap you didn't even set.
Are you sure thats a lady? Ma'lady? Its Ma'am!!!

You are very special Tim.
I guess you could call that a harmful opinion
As a composer I agree, we are scum ;)
Hey Harmful, I've been enjoying the videos and streams. I was wondering if you could put your unlisted vods into a playlist so I could still watch them after you go offline. I really don't want to go to twitch but I understand if you don't want to do that. Thanks for the entertainment!
Oh yeah! I've actually been meaning to.
