Pokimane has started multistreaming now that she's released from the Twitch exclusivity contract that kept her bound unwillingly to amazon. Not just because she can and thinks it would be a smart or even simply fun move, but because Andrew Tate and co. have come to dominate the Twitch landscape without anyone noticing and she needs to escape to UA-cam.
It's absolutely incredible how Pokimane can talk that long and not actually *say* anything at all.
It's like brain popcorn. 90% air, 10% grease and salt.

I don't think I've ever heard Pokimane say something that was valid and made me legitimately agree with her... That is, something she's not regurgitating from someone else, and trying to make it sound like she came up with it. She has some of the worst takes this side of the internet has ever made, and of course, any backlash she gets, she blames it on men-- despite that being her main demographic.
Also even with a passing knowledge of her prior behaviors, one could conclude she's being disingenuous. She used to humiliate and dox men live on stream, while talking to them!

What she's lamenting is getting backlash for being called out for grifting and framing it as misogyny. I dipped into the female-dominated side of YT for a while (basically I'm nearing menopause and needed to learn some stuff from other women), and from what I've seen of the skincare/makeup/body/health stuff that women do on YT, Pokimane does not fit in at all. It's a lot of practical advice and product reviews and "here's how I do things" aka GRWM (get ready with me), with the second trend being home improvement, decluttering, and hobbies like arts and crafts and furniture flipping (which I was surprised to find was also very female-dominated).
Meanwhile, this girl waffles on without saying anything remotely worthwhile, and her entire presentation is directed at men, which is fine, since that's where her income's been coming from, but I don't see her getting a huge female following on YT if she doesn't completely change what she's doing, which would be stupid since she'll lose her existing audience in the process, and if she wants the really young impressionable girls demographic, that's a tiktok/instagram thing, so I don't know what she's talking about, beyond the obvious, which is, I couldn't get a really lucrative deal from Twitch, so I'm gonna try other places and get some free publicity while I'm doing it.
