I have a 2021 X7 and I test drove this vehicle. Maybe it is not as fast as the xdrive40i, but the plushness and smoothness of the ride of CX 90 is on par with a suv that costs 30k more... Great job Mazda
@@Turki553i have a 2022 GLS and this, CX90 is fun to drive, just not as refined but really fun for the size, i drive this more often since GLS is a boat. Also, the acceleration is the same when its from a roll not from 0, since the transmission is tuned differently
Wow! If this is a bigger version of what the CX 70 is going to be, they will both be the ones to have! Great performance, superb comfort, and an excellent ride, what's not to like!! Great review!!

The heads up display (Active Driving Display) shows not only the speed (as you mentioned), but also traffic signs, blind spot monitoring icons, gps directions from Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
This is the 6th video of the cx-90 I've seen. No one mentions they have folding side mirrors and a spare tire.!Very important! I actually got to see one in person today and verified that.
@maurice benton power folding mirrors are only on Mercedes Benz, lexus, and all the other luxury vehicles. Every other manufacturer is still manual non powered folding mirrors (the mirror itself inside is powered, though.)
This frustrates me as well because I have 5 people to carry regularly, and 7 when family comes to visit in the summer. This forces me into the lower trims just to get a center bench seat, and I end up losing out on options I want that are only avialable in the higher trims 😓
The Mazda CX 90 is a home run out of the park! Two weeks ago I ordered my 2024 Mazda CX 90 PHEV! Premium and rhodium White with Greige interior! Delivery time 2 to 3 months. Very excited! Yes I currently have a Mazda CX 9 touring plus, in soul crystal Metallic. I have never had one thing to take back to the dealer for repairs. Extremely reliable vehicle! #ZoomZoomILoveMyMazda❤
I bought this exact same model a month ago. I enjoy it. My gripes are all the storage spaces are too shallow. I also have a rattle in the rear as well. CX-90 forum says it's a problem with the trunk latch. The gas mileage is OK. I'm not sure about the 23 mileage, though. Running the AC all the time burns more gas as well.
I went to my local dealer to see this car today 4/15/2023. Let me say, this car is way more impressive that he stated. I am interested in the CX70 which will be the little brother to the CX90 but I can tell you that I was leaning toward the Acura RDX but now I will wait for CX70 due in September or October. The Cx90 will compete with the Acura MDX these are two big vehicles. The CX70 will be smaller.
What. How xan you know this when youtube does not allow for upgraded sounds... your full of it. Mazda is shitting on the competition. Resolution is ultra high def
Drive both and will say the Q7 is a better drive but not by much. The CX90 acceleration is pretty good. I felt both were fun to drive and that says a lot for what Mazdac has brought to the table. Overall the Q7 is better, but not by much if you're considering price. I can forgive some of its short comings because of price
Here in EU we got the CX-60 as the latest and highest model. Are we talking the same car here ?? Or is the CX-90 a larger model, specifically for the USA, and is there also a CX-60 in the US... ??
We don’t get the CX-60 here is the US but a CX-70 is coming later this year for North America which should be similar to what you guys have in Europe. The CX-90 is a much larger vehicle built on the same platform as the CX-60 and has similar features with the major difference of it being a 3 row crossover. Currently it’s only being sold in the US, Australia, and i believe the Middle East as well.
@@BostonAutoBlog Cool thanks for the clarification - what is "mild hybrid system" is that the rear wheel preference simi-AWD? or is it an actual hybrid like Toyota?

Only the Non turbo Premium Plus and Turbo Premium & Premium Plus have power folding mirrors. The others in the lineup have manual folding mirrors.

Only drawback is the lack of a 2nd row middle seat in the two highest trims (like the MDX and Pilot).

Agreed!
The only drawback of Pilot is that it still uses the timing belt.

Yeah wait for the CX70, the RDX is just plain ugly.
Leaks have indicated that the CX-70 will have the exact same dimensions of the CX-90. It will of course have all of that third-row area as storage.
@michaelstuermer3915 I hope thats wrong. If the cx-70 is smaller it be way more agile.
Bought one. I love it.
Can anyone here comment on the durability of the wet clutch transmission design?
I can’t wait to test drive one and compare it with the Pilot. Excellent review as always.
Thanks Winston!
No comparison
Got one, love it as well
Excellent review very well done 🎉
I can't wait for the release of the MPG numbers on the PHEV.
26 miles before gasoline use

Thank you for this Review!!!!
Your test vehicle is also powered by the most powerful mass produced engine from Mazda.
I do agree that Mazda designs their interior similar to a Volvo interior
Drives and handles like a BMW or Mercedes, and has the reliability of a Japanese vehicle this could be the perfect combination
Something about the back side I don't like
Yeah, it looks kinda minivan-ish
I think it looks GORGEOUS.
that middle screen resolution is the let down and bose audio system...

Not to mention that it's not even a touchscreen.
Great review. Will you review the PHEV?
Thanks Carl! I'd certainly like to. This definitely wasn't the last time I plan on featuring the CX-90 this year.
The BMW X5 2 row play BMW X7 is a three-row SUV so am I respective order the BMW X7 is it is what the Mazda CX 90 supposed to go against

Absolutely!

Imo audi is a better lease, mazda is a better buy
The CX-90 ticks every box and Mazda has a winner.....but they messed up the rear end design.
Is there a spare tire inside the trunk????
yep
There is a donut spare not full size under the plastic panel.

Nowhere near the size of the CX90

Any info about the charger heating up?
The charger heats up
Is there a spare tire????
I don't see what all of the hype is about. Old tech but new to Mazda; while I do not need all the latest technology, this doesn't impress.
Man, u'r like 5ft or so? this car looks so huge next to u😳
💯💯💯
The main center screen isn't even a touch screen. It has a rotary dial smack dab in the center console to control the screen...in 2023.
You can make it a touchscreen in the settings.
It will not stand the test of time, unfortunately
Yup.
