Both of these guys mean more to me than they could ever imagine. Y’all got me out of a very dark time back in the scuf house days and I’ll be forever grateful
I love that hitch watches LostInVegas. I've been watching them for like 3 years. They are so fucking smart when it comes to rap. They can dissect bars, double entendres, references etc. Literally yesterday i watched them react to More and a feeling and Foreplay/Longtime from Boston
They’re a great channel but the dude with the glasses says some crazy stuff sometimes. I mean he said MGK had the better diss track over Eminem’s Killshot. It was a very unpopular opinion for a reason. It felt like he just wanted to have that opinion to try and be different or something. Besides that they’re great.
Griselda, Freddie Gibbs, King Los, and Daylyt are bringing back lyrics, syllable play, double/triple entendres, knowledge/consciousness and grimy storytelling to the forefront. The underground starting to surface into mainstream
Best podcast on YT, no ads, not worried about talking about super popular topics, really talking about stuff they enjoy and are passionate about, makes for such a more enjoyable podcast when they truly like the topics they talk about.
I loved this episode. Watching for 15 minutes and then going to look up the videos or songs they referenced. Great stuff, can't wait to listen to the next album recommendation.
yo i know you don’t post much but i rewatched the process and you look like a whole new person like night and day beautiful sight wish the best for you
Love these, especially on my way to work! Keep putting out great content. Would love if there was a podcast dedicated to just discussing music and checking out new artists/songs etc. just an idea.
The documentary maniac is referring to is called The Defiant Ones were they talk about how Dr. Dre got Eminem’s tape from an Interscope intern who saw him in a rap battle.
i love you guys. never thought a podcast with 2 dudes acting like they know what they're talking about when it comes to rap music would be so entertaining.
I don’t think we miss “shady” per se, we miss his delivery and aggression. His tone is so different now and I can’t get into it fully. It throws me off. He was so slick with his cadence then. It’s not there anymore
This episode was fucking dope thank you for reminding me of how much I love Lil Wayne. Real rap fans know he is a fucking legend. And clearly you need to listen to more Griselda boys lmao
Now here's to LL, Big L and Del K-Solo, Treach, and G Rap DJ Polo, Tony D, ODB, Moe Dee, Run-DMC Ed O.G. , and EPMD, D.O.C., Ice-T, Evil Dee King Tee, UTFO, and Schoolly D, PE, and BDP YZ and Chi-Ali, Rakim and Eric B., they were like my therapy From B.I.G. and Paris, Three Times Dope, and some we'll never see, and PRT
Unknown p takes the piss out of unknown t his like a satire rapper from the UK. You could be right but I'm pretty sure this is the guy they were talking about. Not positive though bro. I apologise if I'm mistaken.
Yall ever watch battle rap? I watch battle rap a lot and one of the battles i keep going back to is Cortez vs Hollohan. Cortez literally ended his rap battle career in that last round. Shit got personal and real. One of my favorite battles of all time
there's videos of drake literally almost word for word rapping someone's verse lol and Quentin miller had several reference tracks that drake used not just hooks. drake took 4 tay players club, drake took project pats verse on look alive (project pat out there) drake also made a verse he took from Outlander. lol. yall low key underplayed it but I dont look at it being serious but drake actually took some shit wasn't just repeating a hook.
Watch Wiz Khalifa day today. Its him in the studio with his boys just cooking up together. Same with Drake, its a team. If the song wins, they all win.
lads the quality on this is fucking phenomenal
Both of these guys mean more to me than they could ever imagine. Y’all got me out of a very dark time back in the scuf house days and I’ll be forever grateful
Em literally has a line where he says. “I don’t even say the hook unless I wrote the hook”
Dude you and Hitch should 100 percent film reaction to albums and shit, people would love that shit.

Nice rap convo, I appreciate back and forths and nerding out like this.
Griselda, Freddie Gibbs, King Los, and Daylyt are bringing back lyrics, syllable play, double/triple entendres, knowledge/consciousness and grimy storytelling to the forefront. The underground starting to surface into mainstream
Can’t forget Shawn Smith, JID & Oswin Benjamin.
Griselda is way nice
Really enjoyed the hip hop conversations this podcast. Another great UK drill/grime y’all should tap into is slowthai if you haven’t already.
Lmao slowthai is the furthest thing from drill and he isn't a grime artist either. He's simply a British rapper 🤣
@@ULTRUZ alright chill mate

I loved this episode. Watching for 15 minutes and then going to look up the videos or songs they referenced. Great stuff, can't wait to listen to the next album recommendation.
Nick was talking about fire in the booth, there are some crazy freestyles/verses on there
You guys should bring Formal on for a guest appearance at the head of the table
The 3 of them would still be a flycast 👀
Best episode yet, both mans look in good health! Love to see it.
This was easily the best podcast I’ve ever listened to from any optic page talk about hip hop more for the heads 😂
I looked up Infinite 5 years or something now and I remember listening to that first song and being mesmerized
yo i know you don’t post much but i rewatched the process and you look like a whole new person like night and day beautiful sight wish the best for you
Dude! So stoked whenever I see a flycast! Much love
Hitch please tell me you’re listening to the new Mach-Hommy. Griselda fingerprints all over it, impeccable rhymes and one-liners. Right up your alley.
Thank-you guys so much for telling me about infinite. Best album I've ever heard .
Not gonna lie, the music talk and album gave me an realization on how hip hop heads feel when they talk about this topic.
Nice pic for the club
Why am I not surprised that Nick went with the hardest to find and most underground Em album.
you can literally find it in one search on youtube
Finally a episode after what seems many years later jk. Keep them coming
The visual quality bump in this is 10/10
Sick vid NiaC, thx NiaC
Love these, especially on my way to work! Keep putting out great content.
Would love if there was a podcast dedicated to just discussing music and checking out new artists/songs etc. just an idea.
please put this on SPOTIFY for the love of god!!! youtube is draining my phone’s battery. please i beg you
The documentary maniac is referring to is called The Defiant Ones were they talk about how Dr. Dre got Eminem’s tape from an Interscope intern who saw him in a rap battle.
love how pam, flamesword, and crim are still in the desc
Dope as hell that Hitch is listening to Griselda, In 2015 I was watching hitch blow up with vlogs and watching Griselda blow up with music.
That’s wild that me and hitch be rockin with lost in Vegas 🤝
Pop smoke/favio started the drill wave after Bobby shmurda and rowdy rebel went away. Drill was popping in the uk with stormzy and Dave
I freaking love you guys! what a duo!
Wtf man I choked, I thought the fly cast was taking its yearly year long break but they’ve been uploading this whole time one a different channel
“One thought in my cerebral is deeper than a jeep full of people , MCs are feeble”-Eminem infinite
Too many people don’t know about infinite
That song is bar after bar after BAR
Im European and know absolutely nothing about rap. But I really appreciate this podcast. Actually learned a lot about it by listening to you two :)
Love it guys!!! Love the music talk so much honestly. Keep it up. 🤘🤘
if no one is with me i gotta sleep with the all lights omn
True geordie x optic podcast I would cry for a lifetime
Production quality! Love it.
Yuh griselda! I’m glad hitch knows about them!
i love you guys. never thought a podcast with 2 dudes acting like they know what they're talking about when it comes to rap music would be so entertaining.
If you guys haven't heard Griselda you're seriously missing out. Daringer and Beat Butcha are putting on for that classic East Coast sound
New podcast segment... Hecz reacting to full albums
I swear to god if hitch had a barber with a pulse the man would look presentable
I don’t think we miss “shady” per se, we miss his delivery and aggression. His tone is so different now and I can’t get into it fully. It throws me off. He was so slick with his cadence then. It’s not there anymore
His new stuff is so technically amazing but seems so forced and lack substance so often
Thank you for mentioning King Los🙌 MD represent!
album a banger, big eminem fan back in the day and never listened to this. so good
Benny the Butcher!!!!!!! from my hometown Buffalo NY baby. love to see him getting some love
King Los freestyles are untouchable
Infinite is Eminem's first album that he sold out the trunk of his car. The mixtape that made its way to Dr. Dre is "The Slim Shady EP".
Nick kept bringing up keek which made me think of his and Lil snupes freestyle. One of the best listens imo
why isn't this podcast on different platforms?
I wanna hear Eminem rap like he did on Patiently Waiting again. That's his prime imo
Did you know he produced that track too? Em one of the most underrated producers ever
@@daveysweigard Yea I figured that out a while back & it blew my mind that's exactly what made it my fav Em track
Big ups Hitch for the Unknown T shout 🇬🇧🔥
We need a new flycast!
Another great weekly episode!
The juxtaposition in the intro tho lol.
video quality is so good
Loving the new angles Niac head strong
I've heard all the songs on the Boston album but never in order and wow is it a very moving album!
Nick was talking about Fumeztheengineer from the UK
Ps; Both of these guys have a great taste in music
I love the flycast way too much
Sounds like Maniac was talking about Fumez the engineer! Would love to see you two react to some UK drill/rap
Since y’all are listening to lyrical rap, y’all need to check out Dave. He’s the best lyricist rn imo
Lol
Wow y’all just say anything 😂😂😂
@@sparks1792 I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought this was a wild take lmao
@@daveysweigard shit is atrocious Eduardo on some other shit
Flycast Fans are fanatical in their devotion
Fumez the engineer is the drill producer maniac
Cliff Beats is great for reactions too (He is a ghostwriter). I put him up there with Lost in Vegas especially with his Harry Mack videos
After that intro someone else might need rehab 😂😂
Shouts to lost in Vegas they’re so dope man glad you gave them some praise!
Now the Flycast has better quality than the OpTic podcast lol

Last night I got onto 'unknown p' not 't' he is a genius.
Maniac was talking about 'fire in the booth' UK version.
Think he was talking about fumez the engineer
Unknown p takes the piss out of unknown t his like a satire rapper from the UK. You could be right but I'm pretty sure this is the guy they were talking about. Not positive though bro. I apologise if I'm mistaken.
P.s westham is better my man lol
I need some Lupe Fiasco love on the next pod
You guys are the only homies that listen to the same music as me haha 😂😂
Lost in Vegas is the best music reaction channel idc 100%
intro is strong quick mafs vibes
Lowkey yall should just make this a rap podcast lol. Got me motivated to create again 😂
Love the podcast!

Y’all need to listen to some MF DOOM for the album of the week recommendation. MM…FOOD, Madvilliany, Take me to your leader.. Etc
Love seeing the UK rap scene getting recognition from Americans, they legit better than most US rappers and have been for time
