Listening to the OpTic Podcast and rewatching the 90 day rejoining OpTic video literally made me cry, we love this man. He has always been my favorite and OpTic content wouldn't be the same with out him. Thanks Niac
You know what I don't want to sound weird but Nick is so much better at keeping on topic and remembering what he is saying this episode. I know viewers tend to look at people under the microscope too much but I really feel like you can see he is in a clearer mind state than we have ever seen him in. I'm proud of the man.
I’ve had a pretty shitty 21’, sadly. 18’ is when I graduated though I had an alright year… life’s been a ride this year more than ever and all I’ve tried to do is keep my head held high but it’s hard… don’t mind me I’m just vibing with the podcast. I’ve needed a lot of uplifting and comfort videos as of late and these have always been warming. Take care everyone stay safe and you are always loved or appreciated by someone. ❤️
Nothing but love for both these guys, not everything is smooth sailing just be sure to sit back and take a minute to recognize when you're in the good times
What Nick is talking about is all mindset… You can release endorphins by working out or even just hearing about good news.. Example: Someone in your family has cancer for many months/years, you see them struggling and you get all depressed, days go by and one day you get a call that they beat cancer, your mindset instantly changes and you feel happy and relieved, this is an extreme example, but that’s all it is.. You gotta be willing to be happy no matter who you are, gotta always have a positive outlook in things because even when everything is negative you can find something positive.. Your mind is an incredible thing. Just work on your mindset and you’ll be at peace. Love how open y’all are! Keep up the work Hitch & Nick, keep it up man, you’re on the right path, and I know great things will come for both of y’all! Cheers
Yo maniac. One of the main causes of anxiety is thinking about bad shit happening in the future. Literally stop doing that and you’ll feel better. I suffer from anxiety and I just catch myself thinking about bills and shit. I have to force my mind to ignore it and think about a good memory I have. Helps every time.
What I hate about anxiety is the physical symptoms, they get so annoying and cause me to think negative thoughts. I am getting better at ignoring them though. The dizziness and chest pain/ heart palpitations is what sucks the most IMO
Man 6 months brother. Good stuff! Keep going at it! I'm almost 2 years sober now and I couldn't be happier. I remember the first year I would get big thoughts about taking again, just like how you explained. Bro you got it homie, keep doing you
6 months strong already goat, one day at a time. You're not the only one who thinks about slipping up, dont forget to reach out and find a meeting if it's getting to you, you ain't on your own in this 💚
Nick I can relate to you. Been sober for 3.5 years now and always have anxiety. Therapy helped me a bit (went for 5 years). It helps you realize the thoughts aren’t real and it’s your head just fucking with you. Also, not to push medication, but recently Buspar has been very helpful for me. Keep fighting, it’s worth it
The way you talk about the anxiousness etc sounds like you're catastrophizing - might not be a bad thing to go to therapy just to talk through those feelings and learn some mindfulness techniques to combat it :). You got this, Nick!
I've been right where your at. Used to use amphetamines and opiates. Craving will go away with time and video games will get fun again. Just have to be patient and give it time. Could take years.
I’m just going to add a bunch of my favourite albums of all time. Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd Rumours - Fleetwood Mac Crime of the Century - Supertramp Time on Earth - Crowded House The Seldom Seen Kid - Elbow Damn - Kendrick Lamar A Rush of Blood to the Head - Coldplay Immersion - Pendulum Reggatta de Blanc - The Police Tourist History - Two Door Cinema Club There’s many more but those are a bunch I thought of straight away
You know it’s a good day when a new Flycast episode drops 🔥 I’ve gotten really into Breaking Benjamin in the last 6 months or so, I knew their more popular songs (like Diary of Jane, Blow Me Away, etc) but ended up just making a playlist with pretty much their entire discography. Albums of theirs I really like are Dear Agony, Dark Before Dawn, and Ember. I really like Aurora too, but that’s mostly a compilation of acoustic versions of songs from other albums
Nick was definitely actually thinking of Purple Haze, but misremembered the opening. Hitch got me onto Hitch A Ride recently!!! Listen to Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Albums to listen to: Welcome Home- Aries The Fall of Hobo Johnson- Hobo Johnson A Real Good Kid- Mike Posner Yesterday’s Tomorrow- Harry Hudson GSP- Jon Bellion
i know exactly what you guys are talking about because i go through the same thing. maybe we're always for something bad to happen because thats what has happen in the past? maybe we just need to let go and push through. i think the downs in life are like check ups on our mental to see if we're still willing to pick up ourselves up to go at it again, idk man.
