He was taken 1st overall to an expansion team; so obviously the team around him was awful. Really, the plan with expansion franchise's GMs seems to always have been draft a QB with that first pick. To me, it should be build up an o-line first & foremost. Come back and take that QB when you end up with that likely first overall pick the next season, and are in an actual position for that QB to have a chance at success.

When you have little time to throw and your receivers are always covered, you have to learn how to consistently make the throws Carr made in that highlight. Smoke it to a spot where the receiver can get it. Carr never got consistent at it though. Alot of starting qbs today can't do that which is why anytime there is a game where receivers are covered, qbs today are trash.
