    "Find the conclusion... find its weaknesses ....then look for an answer that prop up the weaknesses. " I got it. Thank you so much. This is helpful and wise.

    I used to select the generalised options such as Option B of the last question 🙃 Thanks to Philip, I learned to avoid trap options. Focous on the conclusion then find it's weaknesses. Select the option that strengthns the weakness (Y)

    I'm not able to find conclusions as precise as you do. Though I come up with one, more often than not there isn't an answer choice for my conclusion. Also I take so much time in doing these questions. Help me out !!

    • @TheTestedTutor
      @TheTestedTutor  5 років тому

      The good news is that the answer choice doesn't have to match your conclusion. It is just a helpful way to think about the issue. Practice helps with speed for sure.

    I believe there are a myriad of potential loopholes in such a conclusion and how come your predictions of fixes of those weaknesses coincidentally reflects in the answer choices? My predictions though valid, always don't appear in answer choices. Any help?

    Hello sir , In the first CR the assumption is that dolphin resistant to disease is reduced due to boat paint so to strengthen it we need to focus on boat paint are reason for death of dolphin ?? Sir i didn't get your approach

    Sry I'm not clear about finding weakness. Help me!!

    • @TheTestedTutor
      @TheTestedTutor  5 років тому +12

      It does take a lot of practice. You need to find the conclusion and predict all the ways it can be weakened. So if I said, 'We have many doctors at this hospital, clearly the patients should get enough medical attention' then a weakness of that argument would be that we might not have enough nurses and support staff. So to strengthen the argument we remove that weakness with an answer like: ○ 'The hospital also has plenty of nurses and other support staff.'

    I tried to find how to email you personally to give you my numbers after taking the GRE. I did great on the writing 4.0 and I got a 140 on the Quant and 140 on the Verbal. Giving that I only studied for 2 weeks before taking it. I want to gain 10 more points. I will be taking the GRE in December so tell me how to guaranteed those 10 points on my GRE? How many hrs am I studying a week. Plus I have a full time job at the moment. What do you think?

    • @TheTestedTutor
      @TheTestedTutor  5 років тому +1

      I think you can definitely improve at least 10 points by Dec. Have you watched every video and followed all the advice, like doing practice tests and memorizing vocab?

    • @PublicSpeaking202
      @PublicSpeaking202 5 років тому

      @@TheTestedTutor in a short amount of time I knew memorizing so many vocabulary words would be challenging so I watched every video possible to teach me how to write the essays, understand how to break down paragraphs (esp the long ones) and how to figure out the correct words to use when completing the sentences in the Verbal part of the test. For the Quant I watched videos and practice. What ever I got wrong I studied to understand why and corrected them. I used the practice test given on ETS because I learned they are the ones who create our test on exam day. Every advice I received I use and yes it did help on test day. I just need to be able to get 10 points on that day. Any advice is welcome!

    Still confused about answer Choice E on the 1st question. If the boat paint doesn't leak out, this strengthens the argument that when you ban the paint, the mortality rate will go down. If it was not the case that the compounds do not leak out of the paint, then even after the ban, the compounds will still be in the water. This choice confirms that there is no leftover paint in the water that could harm the dolphins even after the ban
