THIS IS GOLD! Absolute peach of a video. But I messed up the last two questions.😕 Now we know the right way to solve RCs. Too strong, too narrow and misinterpreted options are the WRONG ones. Thanks a ton Sir and surely you’ll get thousands of more subscribers in the future!
I was a student who was very weak in verbal but after watching this video, it really helped me how to solve RC passages and you exactly pointed out the mistakes that I usually do. I'm worried why I didn't watch this earlier not before 4days of my GRE
If this video works out for me on my GRE, when I come to the states, I will find you(Liam Neeson style) and I will take you out on a treat, 'cause this video is Golden! The tips are so useful.
I am far from taking a GRE test, but I am hooked on to this series because of you. Wonderful teaching. Your series is enticing me to take GRE test again just for the fun of it 😄
wow. reading this slowly actually helped me see the extra info to condense this down even further, helping me understand what i read even more and the questions became second nature! THANK YOU!!
Thank you for making reading comprehension questions a piece of cake. There are still some questions in which I am able to break it down to two options, but always end up choosing the incorrect one. I hope you can help me solve this problem. Thank you for your efforts.
All your videos are so precision and precious! They are just wau too much help. Thank you so much! They are some of the best I have watched with perfect tips!
Thank you so much for commenting Swaroopa. I am really glad they helped. Let me know if there are other topics I can cover, have just been a bit ill recently.
A thing that REALLY is to note for most of the people is that it may seem like too slow of a reading, but the timing is not that bad. That is why most of them at the gmatclub suggests READ SLOW. We assume that we are already reading slow to have timed such bad, but actually we are reading the same sentences over and over again. Thanks, man.
Nice, clear instructions and it's super helpful you going over a RC passage in this manner. We would love to see a couple more examples to hammer the message home :)
I am really anxious about the verbal section on the GRE, my strategy so far has been to nail the 10 questions from SE and TC in each section and try to solve the RCs as accurately as possible. This lands me in 15/20 score territory which is pretty good. Thanks for the super helpful video Philip!
Thank you so much sir! This video was really helpful. You are a legend and your explanation is fabulous. This channel is so underrated and I really wonder how come you have so less subscribers? Keep growing and may god bless you!
Thank you so much for helping us. This is reassuring to see that this is possible to read slowly. I'm a french speaker and I always tried to read fast because of time, but I did not understand nor memorize anything. Now I'm implementing your methods and that is much better! I take time to read slowly and I get my answers correct! Thank you so so much! :D
I do common mistakes sometimes and it's really silly. I hope I'll overcome that through practice but it really annoys me. Thankyou so much for these videos. It's really helpful.
Thank you. Could you please make a video on how you take a gre exam. I mean an outline on how you go through the questions. Which question you attack first and how you manage the time and maintain good spirit during the exam.
Thank you so much for your videos, especially your reading comprehension and sentence completion. They helped me do very well on the GRE with very little practice!
This is helpful, how to decode a logical context more easily? Sometimes after half of the passage reading I find myself blank, what should I do to mitigate it?
Thanks for this video. I am preparing for GRE and your videos are very helpful. Could you also make a video on the RC questions where one or two sentences are highlighted and they ask the relation of those sentences. e.g. first is the topic of the passage and second is the conclusion. Or first mentions general concept and second refutes it. I get these questions wrong many of the times. It would be helpful if you could make a video dedicated to this. Thanks in advance! 🙏
Hi This video is great. These tips are great. I am preparing for GRE. Please suggest RC passages book or online documents for RC , Text Completion and Sentence Equivalence.
Thanks! 10:10 On Q1, was confused between C and E but I chose E because I thought that throughout the whole text he has shown that there are similarities, despite the fact that there are some notable differences. By 'fundamentally' I thought I could ignore those differences and go with E. I cancelled C because he says at the very end that it merits more studies by scholars but was that the main point?
Oh damn! u deserve a lot many subscribers than you have nevermind one day certainly it will reach millions all the very best :) Hi I'm preparing for CLAT exam, India, I'm facing lot of difficulties in RCs I really owe you for this video make more videos Two questions I have 1) Please suggest me how to reduce negatives and get a cent percent score in reading comprehension and critical reasoning (passage based)? 2) few best non fiction novels essays name which I can read? Congratulations on building this community! Impressive stuff. I have my GRE in 5 days and I am struggling with timing on the RC. Could you please give me an estimate on how long should I ideally spend on a long GRE passage? I am currently scoring in the range of 157-158 in V, getting 4/10 RC questions correct, though if I had more time, I think I could get more! Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Instead of focussing on the overall time taken for RC, instead try to reallocate the time by investing more in understanding the passage and less on answering the questions. 8 questions answered properly is better than 10 rushed. Thank you for the comments on the community, I hope you stay part of it as it branches out.
That's an ambitious increase! Follow all the advice in the videos, get at least 14/20 in the first Verbal section, if necessary by guessing the 3 blank questions.
So I was getting a consistent 167-168 in quants on my mocks including the official ones, but somehow ended up with 160 on the actual test. Any suggestions for preparing for my second attempt?
Other than completing a minimum 10-12 practice tests to develop stamina then no, just accept there will be variance on the day. Definitely do it another 1-2 times.
Hey! Awesome video 😄 quick question, I'm about two weeks off from my scheduled GRE exam, out of the GMAT RC sources and the old GRE book, which, in your opinion, would be the better option?
Can you please make a lengthy reading comprehension video covering difficult topics (like literature) from 5lb manhattan book. I find them difficult to understand. Please help.
Is it possible to apply the same trick for all inference based passages sir? I do well in main purpose. Very bad in inference based questions. How many passages or days do we need to master in inference?
THIS IS GOLD!
Absolute peach of a video.

I got 4/4 correct following your instructions. You're a champ. Keep 'em coming. There's a guy GregMat, teaching online... I think you should do too.

Hi, how to differentiate between confusing phrases in questions such as explains/supports/gives examples of/questions etc?
That would take a long reply! Is your exam soon? I would have to do a video on each!
Thanks!

Main purpose - answer is a broad theme, eliminate narrow ones
Inference - proof(hand of God) from passage - binary
very helpful, thank you!
Reductionistic beautifully :)..........
