Your sister will have a beautiful bedroom! She is on a quest for wellness. If she want a peaceful bedroom she may consider to get rid of the TV.

Cleaning house - like decluttering - is a fantastic way to get exercise. Exercise doesn't have to be running on a treadmill or grunting to pick up iron weights.
Instead, cleaning, doing chores, decluttering, rearranging, etc., is a great way to get in steps and movement AND it has a purpose!
Since May I've been doing a lot more cleaning, including my car, detailing, decluttering, etc., and have lost 20 pounds! The extra steps have gone so far!
Great job to Sherri and ositive encouragement to anyone looking to declutter or lose a little weight! 💜

I am so excited for Sherri to have a pretty room.
Before you put anything back please get some doors for the closet. That will help with her vision of clean and tidy and calming. Also it leaves less space to pile things as opossed to the curtains.
If you have a good salvage yard, sometimes you can find closet doors.
I kinda like the drama of the curtains and they match the bed that matches the art. I can imagine Sherri snatching open those curtains and deciding just how fabulous she is going to dress for the day.
This is true, I second this. Doors would look so much better and because you have to put more effort physically and more effort in your mind when you want to put something in or take out, this will help the endless cycle of dumping random things that don’t belong in the closet
It is wonderful that she wants to put hardwood floors in, easy to vacuum and nice to walk on!

I'm stuck in an apartment that won't take up old carpet and I am so over it! That is my weekend project (again) cleaning the stupid carpet. If I have a choice never again

That’s a huge bed for one woman. I know things are bigger in America but she would have much more space if she treated herself to a new smaller bed and mattress.
The upstairs neighbors had a fire recently. We had to remove everything from both of our kids' rooms so the contractors could rip out their ceilings. It was a great chance to do a major declutter of the kids' belongings. After all the construction is done and they can move everything back in, we will do another pass through of their items. I call it a blessing in disguise.

Suggestion: take one of the closet curtains to a paint store and have them mix that color into white paint to whatever degree and depth of color you want the walls to be. It’s amazing how everything pulls together when you have a few drops of the intense color mixed in with white!

According to Wiki, popcorn ceilings were used to give ceilings texture and also for sound-deadening properties. Originally popular in bedrooms and apartment hallways. Your questioning it made me look into it. 😂
My parents home had them and they had gold sparkles in them. My home has textured ceilings. Neither bothered me. I actually liked the gold sparkles. 😅

I lived in a small apartment once that had popcorn walls! I was always skinning my knuckles on them 😢😁
I had all the popcorn ceilings removed after 30 years in our home. You can't clean it. The popcorn covered up bad construction in some areas. My poor contractor had to redo several door frames. I don't miss the popcorn at all. It's horrible.

If any of you have not seen the whole “Sister Sherri Series” you have to go back and watch them all from the beginning and you will completely see what I am talking about. Sherri literally let you declutter a box and…she’s decluttering even more. This is exactly what happens every time you declutter. You come to slow realizations about what really matters in your life. Time becomes far more valuable and we realize how important having less frees up our time. Time to do nothing or something that doesn’t involve upkeep of things. I have a daughter that holds on to everything and I keep very little. When we clean and declutter I really have to pick my moment and be so patient. I don’t understand that mindset, but in the end we are both so happy with the results.

lol it was no holds barred that morning I don’t think I’d had my coffee yet 😆
My late in-laws house had a popcorn ceiling. They were very popular at one time because they supposedly hid cracks and were for sound dampening. When we were fixing up their house to sell after they died there was a big crack across the ceiling so I found all kinds of inconspicuous spots to pick off some little popcorns, and then I stood on the ladder and individually glued little popcorns onto the crack. It turned out pretty good.
Sherry is doing absolutely fantastic. Don’t say weight ‘loss’ say weight ‘release ‘because whatever we loose we try find again so release it with love 😉 I’m also releasing. Have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 👏👏💪💪👍🙏💐
