Okay...you had me reeled in at the beginning...I needed that encouragement - I take my CPC exam (again, second attempt) tomorrow and due to lifeee I haven't been very focused and feel I am lacking again. Here I am cramming the day before... I won't give up - I've invested too much time and money and I need a stable career. Thanks for posting all that you do. You are a very kind person :)
You can do it. Your goals may not come easy, but they're worth the work. Keep it up and remember don't give up. Life is too short to give up, do the best you can.

I'm waiting for the video on modifiers to help me understand them... I'm taking the test next week ....all your videos so far have really helped me and made me confident about tackling the exam. hopefully, your video on modifiers will be posted by this weekend....keeping my fingers crossed...
Modifier is not one of 17 areas of knowledge in the CPC exam. There might be one or two questions and as long as you know how to use modifier 25, 59, 22, 26 you should be good to go. I could only make one video a week for youtube. You can have 45 incorrect questions and still pass the exam. Remember the passing score is 70% and my advice for you is that focus more on case studies and if you have time now then reading the coding guidelines. Good luck with your exam!

I took the first part of the CPC exam online two weeks ago, and did not feel too confident about the result. There are a minor changes related to the E/M level in 2021 and I am still working on it. Hopefully I will have a new video related to this changes either next week or the week after. I liked your teaching strategies because it identifies how to look at the question and strategize on how to answer the question and not get nervous. Even when reading and trying to understand, without having this type of skill set to answer the questions within < 2 minute time frame is absolutely great.
Q: would you have any suggestions, strategies on how to approach questions on the AAPC CIC Examination?
Hi Denise. I took the CIRCC exam and not the CIC so I don't know how the questions on the CIC are created. If they are related to the catheter selection (1st, 2nd or 3rd order) then I will have a strategy.

Hi Hoang, thank you for posting these wonderful videos! I'm in the middle of studying for the CPC exam. Just about ready to begin training on the HCPCS book. I'm having trouble with knowing how to successfully look up procedures in CPT book. For ICD-10 I found it much easier, just look up the symptoms or the disease but CPT I'm struggling with a little bit. Do you have a video of how to successfully use the CPT index and if not would you consider making one? Thanks so much!
