- A brief look at the National Panasonic DR-Q63 (RF 6300) released in the early 1980's. A very rare radio, they were expensive in their day, so I was pleased to come by this one.
A simple but very large radioe, basic in operation but a fairly good performer, typical of the era. SSB is exceptionally stable and a pleasure to operate. It has 2 well chosen bandwidths giving good results. While not a DX'er, it offers pleasant listening and satisfactory performance.
Tuning is 2 speed and fairly clunky but you soon get used to it.
Supposedly one of the last of the "Command Series" Panasonics
A rare gem..🙏👍
Wonderful....thanks for the video.
Thank you so much my friend phil 73!
A gorgeous example of a rare radio. Thanks for demonstrating it for us.
Well snagged Phil, that’s a good addition to any radio shack.
Beautiful timepiece!
Thank you 👍
It's a beautiful radio Phil. Thank you very much for sharing your video Sir 👍 73s Tam.
Thanks Tam. Hope all is good in beautiful Scotland!
@@philireland1678 As well as can be expected in the terrible circumstances Phil, and keeping everyone in my prayers world wide during this horrible time. Stay safe Sir 👍 73s Tam.
That's great radio and wonderful
It's an eye catcher for sure. What a great find. A collector piece for sure. I like it.
Thank you 👍
Nice addition to the collection Phil, congratulations and thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for your comments, been a while since putting up a video, slackness really.
I've been playing with the Sangean ATS-803A a bit lately, a nice radio!
Cheers...... Phil
@@philireland1678 Yeah I can sympathise with that I've been a little stagnant on the uploads as well, don't be too hard on yourself sometimes inspiration can be elusive, glad to hear your running the ATS 803a through it's paces a nice (but quirky) radio 👍
Very cool ‼️
📻🙂
Thanks 👍
Thanks 👍
Are you out to make my eyes bad :-) I couldn't see anything due to the radio being in the window!
Yes, my skills at photography are poor, I freely admit!
Hey. How do you rate the sensitivity of this receiver to a telescopic antenna compared to Panasonic 65 and Sony 2010?
It's quite good on it's telescopic antenna but the 2010 (2001D) is better as is the B65. It's typical of the Panasonics of that style.
Cheers..... Phil
Hi, nice channel, I signed up. Come and see me.
