Dave Simpson I've come to this thread late but just been through a very painful knee replacement, dumped by text by my girlfriend when I was in a taxi on the way home from hospital. What's kept me going is all the fantastic stuff on UA-cam for guitarists and I treated myself to a new Les Paul studio. When life lets me down my guitar never does. Love the videos mate
Being 2 years late to this hurts me. I wish I could of shown my support to such an amazing guy when he needed help. We love you Dave you're a great guy!
@@thedavesimpson its no problem! Sorry to ask a question again. But how does this sound out of 10 to you? And is it loud enough for a rehearsal with a full band through a 2x12 (v30s)
Wow Dave the different amount of tones from that tiny box, yet they all sound awesome. Thanks for the demo and man I love your playing, you so feel the music mate.
I think this is the best demo/review of the amp. There's nothing like hearing something in person, but I could hear nuances that you also confirmed, that I couldn't hear in other videos. Thanks!
I, for one, love your videos. You are a genuine, sweet, talented, down to earth, funny chap and that makes your videos/instruction very approachable. Thank you for taking the time to review these products and for helping us to make informed decisions! Cheers!
Hello Dave. I’m a new subscriber to your channel and all I can say is that you are my favorite UA-camr. You are so honest and so human. And you are such an amazing guitarist. Nice one Dave. As an anxiety and depression , panic attack sufferer - i know damn well what its like, but when i feel like that I put your videos on and i do feel better..You make me wanna play my guitar more..Keep em coming and remember..your not alone.
I just got one of these based on your demo Dave, running thru a vintage Jenson SD 12 sounds great. I went thru my whole collection of old 12at7/12ax7 and found perfection in an old sylvania 12at7. Quiets the buzz huge and fizz goes to crunch. Cool little rig! Thanx!
Hey Dave, I kept forgetting to leave a message for you in your last video about panic attacks. As I am sure many have expressed already, you are not alone. I, too, was once afflicted with a *SEVERE* case of anxiety at one time in my life. Mine was particularly extreme. For the first 8 months I had it, I couldn't even leave the house. Wasn't even able to go outside my front door. No word of a lie: I struggled literally *every single waking moment of my life* with it for nearly 7 years straight. My anxiety was also riddled with *awful* daily, non-stop physical symptoms that made things even worse. I also battled severe depression and suicidal thoughts throughout that time too. Without a doubt, it was the absolute worst time of my life. Just know that it can be conquered and that you are never alone. That is the worst part of having anxiety: it is like a silent affliction. So many have it, yet no one ever talks about it due our to society's stigmas about it. Unfortunately, many people are never seen or heard in their struggle. man, you're an excellent player. I have used modeling gear almost exclusively for close to 10 years now because of the versatility, but you have really shown how just a straight guitar>amp set-up can really get a multitude of tones. Keep up the good work!
Know exactly what you mean about that Selmer tone Dave. My first head was a Treble & Bass 50 and I could never get it to clip. That Micro Terror really loves Humbuckers. As with all the other well wishers, I too am glad to see you're looking & feeling better mate.
I became an Orange guy big time..I'm a bassist who gigs pretty hard and I picked up the Orange bass terror a few years ago...the tone, build and just plain overall quality really won me over (I use it for everything...all genres). I grabbed the Micro terror for home recording and so on...it's great...took me a while to get used to it but all the sweet tones are there...I had to really lean on my volume tone knobs (2001 Gibson Les Paul Standard, previously owned by good friend Victor Griffin of Pentagram) for sure...I used to be a guy who did it all with pedals, but this amp really teaches (and forces) you to get the most out of your native sounds and tone/vol knobs. I love this little monster! I barely use any pedals now for either...nice chops...and I suffer from PTSD and anxiety issues too...it's a constant fight but it's winnable...wishing you all the best from Canada. Cheers.
Well Dave, considering that you usually get literally zero negative feedback on your videos tells a lot. A LOT. People like you and what you do. Always fun watching you, my man.
