i hope you won't stay feeling guilty, Dave. You've earned it. You've persevered through a lot and you have continued to be a light in this world. Thank you for what you do, sir.
Dave, there is absolutely nothing wrong with rewarding yourself. You have been through a lot of shit in your young life. Now it’s your turn to shine. You have waited for this day for a long time. No buyer’s remorse. Just enjoy. Through your enjoyment we all will be rewarded. I am 63 years old and had stopped playing to raise a family. I am now retired and you have inspired me to pick up my guitar again. It’s all your fault that I am broke. lol. New Strat and new amp. Thanks Dave.
Still the best guitar player on UA-cam ! Even with their $100,000 UA-cam studio and their sponsors and their hype and their superiority complex they still can't compare your playing ! You have soulful note choice and talent from practicing !🎉
Nice to hear it through some single coils for a change - usually rigged up with a LP due to a certain top-hatted individual. Lovely instrumental BTW - Gilmour meets Frusciante meets Buckethead. Awesome
Love your solid state tones but that Marshall sounds fkn immense…..smoother warmer fuller and more articulate all round. Great demo congrats you deserve it🎄🍻
Hey Dave, what camera do you record your videos with? The sound is awesome. Love your videos man. No one ever sounds closer to Frusciante than you. Its amazing how much I can hear him in your playing
I've always wanted one of these as well. Finally sold all my other amps and picked up a used one a week ago! So happy to hear you playing through one too Dave! You're the best man.
i hear alot of dave simpson influence in the opening piece of music, sounds great! keep working ,maybe you will be as good as mr. simpson some day! the marshal jubilee is your sound by the way...
Amp sounds incredible Dave! You have to feel guilty about it, thats you, ride it out and enjoy. Thats an itch that was worth being scratched. You’ve done great things with your playing and music using whatever gear you could get your hands on, this was meant to cross your path.
I picked up the 20watt Studio version earlier this year, got it used but like new and then opted for the matching vertical 2x12. At first I didn't love it as it actually sounds quite different to a DSL but now that I've got used to it I absolutely love it, always been a Marshall guy that has dabbled with other brands but the silver jubes feels like home now.
Congrats Dave!! You definitely deserve it. I've got a SJ for myself a few months back and it's an epic piece of gear. It's me who should feel guilty owning it as I don't even come close to your skills :) Many thanks for sharing with us the settings you're using. All the best to you and I just can't wait to listen to a few more intro jams, it's so inspiring
Heyo Dave, That was beyond measure the most inspiring playing I have heard in ages!!! That amp and you and a strat. What a combo. . . Can you upload that intro playing to iTunes or spotify or sound cloud or youtube music or something please!!!!! I wanna listen to it on a loop :) DONT HAVE ANY BUYERS REMORSE, THAT AMP WAS MADE ESPECIALLY FOR YOU!!!
That is your Frusciante itch well and truly scratched dave and I'm delighted for you. I'm waiting on my 3rd guitar from Nick O. A lightly reliced Olympic white strat with medium output bridge humbucker, vintage output neck single coil , no middle pickup, dark rosewood neck, gotoh hardtail and hardware throughout.......expecting it about May 2025, can't wait 😊
Was that Strip My Mind and Wet Sand? No this is UA-cam, that was Deconstruct My Brain and Moist Gravel.😂 That amp sounds fantastic, great playing as always.
You shouldn’t feel guilty. You’ve earned it and if anything, you’re allowing us to experience beautiful gear that most of us wont be able to get our hands on through you
So glad for you! The playing sounded amazing - especially liked the tone with the Les Paul. This definitely makes me want to get the mini version even more now. I need to hold off on other music gear until I can get the Mini Jubilee! (Okay, I might need strings before then... 😅)
I have a Marshall 1987 lead 12 and it sounds very jubilee sounding so loud for a baby Marshall which I use with a VOX AC30 with blues speakers. But that head sounds great Dave. The Lead 12 just does guns and roses all day when flat out gain 10 . I just love your new amp it came more alive with the Les Paul but I’m not a Strat player my hands keep hitting the pickup selector where as my sons love strats and call my Les Paul a concrete brick as it’s a 9 pounder in weight. Great amp though Dave you got there hope to hear more of it . Best wishes from a 🥶🥶🥶🏴🏴🏴🏴
Have the 20w head version for almost a year now. First Marshall I 100% get along with. Been playing a Fender supersonic for 15years, that chapter is behind me now. These amps are what I always wanted from a Marshall ❤️ thanks for the vid ❤
That sounded amazing. I really noticed how much better the Les Paul sounded with that setup. I’m really a Strat freak but the LP was noticeably greater❕I’m very happy for you that you were able to get that 😊. BTW were you running the head through one or both of the cabs underneath? I’m guessing 1 since you’re not playing out but maybe both just because, well, you can. Why not? 👍☮️🌞🎸🎵⭐️
I keep coming back to this video just for the first 9 1/2 minutes. Sounds like it could be something from Buckethead’s “Electric Tears”. Absolutely sublime.
It is a genuine joy machine 😃! It's been a lot time since you trusted any amplifier with all that treble, and it didn't let you down. I will listen to that again! 👍
Why would you feel guilty about owning something you've worked hard for and always wanted to own , your not hurting anyone and your bringing yourself joy . I've always wanted a Marshall Blues Breaker style combo people say the reissues don't sound like the originals , my answer to that comment is I've never had the chance to play an original so I wouldn't know, all I know is I would love one and I just know that I'd be happy with it , and I would not feel guilty about owning one . Thanks for the Video.
Merry Christmas Eve. Have a great Season. Do not believe Santa can get another amp head down the chimney; but if anyone deserves one … 🌲🎄🎅🏻. 💟🌨️💨 🎸👨⚕️🫶✌️♾️🇬🇧🏴🇺🇸
It's crazy to hear you feel remorse Dave. I'm literally the same exact way. I've bought and sold all my gear over and over and over again. I'm tired of it.
Great playing and love the sound of that amp. Lol, i practice through a quad cortex and pretty much exclusively use the silver jubilee captures on it so ill probably actually get this amp someday
Lovely tones, Dave, and that intro piece was great as usual! Seriously, I have been gassing for a DSL100HR obsessively, and you sir😂, are not helping! 😂 Thanks for the video, your playing makes me smile. Have you come across a UA-cam-er guitarist from Argentina called Damian Salazar? I think you and him might work well musically collab-ing.
bro that bridge pup sounded nice and "twanky"(twang and spank combined)! you didnt slip a "twangbanger pup" in the bridge without tellin us?? hahaha it sounded great my brother!
Agree about the eq. So much bass it’ll shake ya floor! The jubilee also sounds great with mv low or high, unlike a JCM 800 2203X which has a great sound once mv hits 7 or above and that’s why I have to use an attenuator with that amp. The low power mode on jubilee seems to warm up the tone a little. Also biasing a jubilee is the easiest of all the Marshalls. Good to see someone else with full stacks at home. People said I was crazy, maybe but it looks bloody great lol.
@ on the reissue there’s bias controls for each pair of valves and sockets for multimeter probes. Guessing Dave’s is a reissue as can’t see screw holes were the badge in the originals was. If you search google images “marshall 2555x bias” your see the bias controls.
48:00 The dirty-clean tone you can get with the rhythm clip pulled is fantastic, but for some reason the DS-2 sounds terrible on that channel... It's sound way better on the clean channel. Does anyone else have the same issue? I'm looking forward to a video with both the jubilee and the pedalboard for that reason
Well, Well, Well, Mr. Loud got himself a new loud box of happiness . Well, "LAAA TEEE Freaken DAAA' to you sonny Jim. Acutally the clean sounds wonderfull and the massive angry gain is rather delightful - I love to refer to it as being wrapped in a blanket of warm fuzzy tone . . . Why don't your like the JCM 800, not your favorite breakfast cereal is it ? ? ? Thank you day, love your wonderful skills - Jim - Arkansas - USA
The 20 watt Marshalls are loud and have the kick smaller amps lack due to that big glass in them most 20 ish watt amps have el84s and other small bottle power tubes and I can totally understand how a 20 watt Plexi style amp could in the room sound and feel as loud as a 50 to 100 watt amp with more gain all the clipping compresses and your gonna lose some apparent volume I say apparent because in a mix or live setting they probably sound closer to the same volume there’s what ? Less than 10 decibels difference between a 100 watt tube amp and a 20 watt tube amp just because you double the power you don’t double the volume
Hi Dave, The Jub sounds golden or silvery that is trough that cab :) Btw. what drivers are in the red cab? Asking since you mentioned the volume difference...
Coming around to the idea that Tube Amps are superior to Solid state? Haha to be honest... for the style of music you play you can't really notice a massive difference between a good solid state and tube amp. For high gain rock / metal... there's just NO comparison when it comes to the mass frequency spectrum, gain, saturation and sustain you get with a good tube amp. My 2 cents that nobody gives a toss about 🤣
i hope you won't stay feeling guilty, Dave. You've earned it. You've persevered through a lot and you have continued to be a light in this world. Thank you for what you do, sir.

Me too 💖.
😂 you aren't broke yet... You probably need a couple cool synthesizer boards and you will be getting there 😂
Lovely atmospheric intro indeed.
I do say, that this new amplifier has had a kaleidoscopish affect on Dave.
Carry on 👍
Still the best guitar player on UA-cam ! Even with their $100,000 UA-cam studio and their sponsors and their hype and their superiority complex they still can't compare your playing ! You have soulful note choice and talent from practicing !🎉
That amp sounds bloody mega!!! 🔥🔥🔥 You totally deserve that beast Dave - you've put the graft in and earnt it mate - no guilt necessary 🙂👍
What a tone.
Should be on an arena stage with this mate.
Fruciante Empereum vibes. Soaring and singing those notes out to the cosmos.
That’s the Best I’ve heard you sound in all your vidéos. Mellow yet cutting tone
I remember when you first (first?) did a demo of the jubilee and I thought it was the best you ever sounded. Glad to see you have the amp now!
Nice to hear it through some single coils for a change - usually rigged up with a LP due to a certain top-hatted individual. Lovely instrumental BTW - Gilmour meets Frusciante meets Buckethead. Awesome
Thanks Dave! Always makes my day when I watch your videos. Would be interested on how you see differences with the mini version.
Whoa. That’s the best tone I’ve ever heard from you. And you always have 10/10 tone. In which case this must be a 12/10
Love your solid state tones but that Marshall sounds fkn immense…..smoother warmer fuller and more articulate all round. Great demo congrats you deserve it🎄🍻
Sounds epic!!I bet your neighbours love it just as much!
Gave me the Gary Moore vibes...... Excellent Dave! Beautiful playing, amazing amps too.
You know you're playing hard when you break the A string.
Hey Dave, what camera do you record your videos with? The sound is awesome. Love your videos man. No one ever sounds closer to Frusciante than you. Its amazing how much I can hear him in your playing
I use the Zoom Q8. :)
You seem quite fulfilled. I’m happy for you.
A gentleman with a kind soul should have joy seasoning his life whenever possible.
Enjoy.
I've always wanted one of these as well. Finally sold all my other amps and picked up a used one a week ago! So happy to hear you playing through one too Dave! You're the best man.

Awesome amp Dave! Glad you got it back to being healthy! Man, I could listen to you play all day!
29:35 that is spot on to frusciante's tone man congrats on the amp
Sounds great Big Dave. Like your pedalboard too. Thanks man 😎👍✌️🎸
My description of the intro; While my guitar gently weeps....until the vacuumed tubes warmed up and got angry👏🔥♥️
Amp sounds incredible Dave! You have to feel guilty about it, thats you, ride it out and enjoy. Thats an itch that was worth being scratched. You’ve done great things with your playing and music using whatever gear you could get your hands on, this was meant to cross your path.
Brilliant! The jubilee is a beast! Great rundown of the tones Dave.👍

Great sounding amp, and the happiest I've seen you for a good while. Excellent playing as always.
Really spacing out.
Nice one Dave (still listening).
found your page wanting to learn to play like frusciante, now i just wanna learn how to play like dave simpson 🤘🏼
It's a beauty. These came out when I was 16 and I've always admired them.
Heyo Dave, That was beyond measure the most inspiring playing I have heard in ages!!! That amp and you and a strat. What a combo. . . the sound & the look man everything is perfect for an amp
A kaleidoscope of Marshally greatness!

As a massive Ten Years After fan, I've always wanted to try one of these!
Sounds great !! Keep it up !!!!
You must be a very good boy for Santa to come so soon,, intro super sound super playing Dave's mood music i stand up and salute you
Tone, tone and tone ❤

The comment by Dave. If I put it above three the walls start bowing out ! Priceless ! 😂
Every clip sounded magnificent brother.
Don't feel guilty, it is very well deserved. The Silver Jubilee is one of my favorite all-time amplifiers.
Good Stuff Man.
22:00 that palm mute tone 👌👌👌
Merry Christmas man and stay healthy cheers😊
I have a Silver Jubilee and it does sound wonderful!
Awesome! 👏
It's a truly great amp.. I use one everyday!
My ears are so glad I have the 20 watt version.
The 2555x Master Volume is very effective. Unlike the JCM 800 Master. 2555x's are good amps at home as well as in a...stadium.😉
Merry Christmas Eve. Have a great Season. Do not believe Santa can get another amp head down the chimney; but if anyone deserves one … 🌲🎄🎅🏻. 💟🌨️💨
🎸👨⚕️🫶✌️♾️🇬🇧🏴🇺🇸
You work entirely too hard hard to worry about other people's sound. We enjoy seeing you play. From the people of the tube!
fenomenal piece at the start
It's crazy to hear you feel remorse Dave. I'm literally the same exact way. I've bought and sold all my gear over and over and over again. I'm tired of it.
Great playing and love the sound of that amp. Lol, i practice through a quad cortex and pretty much exclusively use the silver jubilee captures on it so ill probably actually get this amp someday
Glorious tone!🙂
I’ve got the red covered 20watt studio Combo you’re right Dave they’re Fizzing Loud as Hell .😂😂😂..even on the low output switch ..
Powerbrake it, works so well with my studio vintage 20watt head
@ already done.made my own ..👍👍but without them they’re bloody loud ..
Sounds sick
Allo, allo.... what video tom-trickery goin on ere then ❓
Must be Christmas 🎄
The SJ sounding pure as the driven snow ❄️🌨️
Just loverly ☝️☝️👏👏👏
I had a 50/25 watt silver jubilee combo , it burnt in the house fire I was in. God I wish I still had it. They’re killer amps.
Want one😂😂😂
Eddie hazel would love that intro. Pretty funkadelic!
Last week I bought the 100w 2555 head. I also have the 20w 2525h and I switched to bigger version. Best regards
Lovely tones, Dave, and that intro piece was great as usual!

Have you come across a UA-cam-er guitarist from Argentina called Damian Salazar? I think you and him might work well musically collab-ing.
I had my rhythm clip modded so it’s footswitchable really versatile amp
Do you have g12t75s on that cab?
I do yep.
bro that bridge pup sounded nice and "twanky"(twang and spank combined)!
you didnt slip a "twangbanger pup" in the bridge without tellin us??
hahaha it sounded great my brother!
Killer tone at 27:20
24:25 "please don't strip my video with copyright claims... leave something behind 🎶🎶"
Dave, that sounds awesome! How did you record the sound of the video?
Sm57 into my zoom Q8. :)
Wow Pink Floyd vibes!!!
20:36 Anytime anybody plays without reverb and still sounds amazing I doff my cap.
Let's hear it for the real players.
Luv and Peace.
I like Mr Red.

🤔 Is this a gateway drug? I have an amp I've been wanting you to play.
Hi 😊👋
The 20 watt Marshalls are loud and have the kick smaller amps lack due to that big glass in them most 20 ish watt amps have el84s and other small bottle power tubes and I can totally understand how a 20 watt Plexi style amp could in the room sound and feel as loud as a 50 to 100 watt amp with more gain all the clipping compresses and your gonna lose some apparent volume I say apparent because in a mix or live setting they probably sound closer to the same volume there’s what ? Sounds good, what wah pedal you using mate ?.
Ibanez wh10 v2.
4 x g12 75W?
That's a big ask to drive you must really turn your amps up.
How to dial eq of a jmp super lead ? With two hands, one hand on treble ,other on middle, because they are all one eq actually.
Next up the studio and jubilee wet dry haha
Having great gear is one thing……. Playing like that is rear …….. marshal records is perfect for up and coming bands great terms and conditions……..
It works done with the Drum machine???
It does yes.
Jubilee vs Vintage?
Jubilee. :)
@thedavesimpson wow! Thats a first!
Why the hell would you feel guilty about everything you own?
Mainly because i don’t believe i deserve anything.
@@thedavesimpson You deserve so much. Just ask the Red Giant 🔴Army❕
