Never commented on UA-cam before. But I've watched a lot of reviews for various things. And this is the best review and demo I've ever seen. Not just for guitar equipment. For anything.
I just got this head a few days ago. Still CANNOT get over what it can do. It's truly remarkable. Lol. I've seen some people say it can't do clean, which is utter rubbish. I love this amp, especially through a 4x12. I'm debuting it at its very first gig this coming Saturday with my band. Can't wait to see the looks on people's faces. HA!!!
Danny 'Day Yeah, people really don't know what they are talking about. I bought the MT strictly for a clean channel pedal platform....for metal. Needless to say, it works flawlessly running through my custom oversized 1x12 cab loaded with a WGS Retro 30. The MT has beautiful cleans.
@@ryanwilson5936 do you think this small Amp sounds good with a multieffect pedal like Zoom g3xn and a Ibanez JS1000 Satriani Signature(H-H custom DiMarzio Fred and Paf pro)?
Antonio Coloprisco I’ve never ran a multi-fx through it but I would imagine that it would only sound as good as the what the pedal could produce. If you like the sound of the multi-fx you have, I don’t see why you wouldn’t like it through this amp. May need to do a little eq tweaking but that’s business as usually for any piece of gear.
I used this head for over a year with my Blackstar 2x12 cab in my hair metal tribute on dozens of gigs. We played 1200 seater venues and opened for LA Guns, Dokken and Winger using this head. If you have some hot pickups you can really get a cool tone and just enough gain for metal. I now use a Splawn head and use this as my back up. I still use the Orance Micro on smaller gigs.
The best thing about the whole terror family of amps is that they work amazingly in a studio. You can get great crunch tones without being too loud for the microphones. Serious pieces of kit.
Got this amp yesterday, christ. Without much volume, around 10 o'clock, my parents are going mental, and this is with the original cab. I fucking love this and I'll hopefully be rocking it for years to come.\m/
I went into Long and McQuade in Burlington. They had a used 4x12 Hughes and Kettner for $199. I plugged the Micro Terror in it and it was loud - really loud. The thing sounded like a $2,500 head. Needless to say, I walked out with both the Micro Terror and the Hughes and Kettner cabinet. For less than $400 total you can not beat this setup. But, I do think you need a 4x12 to get the most out of this amp. Otherwise it will just sound like a squeaky little combo.
I own the micro terror and a hughes and kettner 1x12. To be honest, it sounds great and is loud enough for whatever you want to do. But i just think orange and H&K fits togheter really well. Keep rockin dude \m/
Neil Mason getting a Harley Benton 2x12 man. Amazing value. In fact kinda rediculous value. I have no doubt the Hughes and kettner sounded AMAZING though.
Really impressive that such a tiny amps creates just a great sound, you really could take it anywhere and it's winning loads of awards and best-buys too. Might have to have a go on one.
Holy shit, great review mate, been looking for a amp, usually play through GarageBand and headphones, just play every now and then, but this little sucker sounds amazing,a deffo buy for me,thanx for the good vid mate
Ive spent so much damn time tryin to find a great lil amp and a good review and you totally hooked me up!!!! You showcased all the sounds and settings and really helped me make my decision. Thank YOu!!!!
I never heard the small orange cab. I think it sounds alright. I have used it with 1x12s, my 4x12s. I like it better with pedal setup, better than straight plugged in. Why? Well it doesn't have reverb. Using a Xotic SP compressor and parametric eq helps make the amp sound cleaner. I have used high end pedals: Bogner Red Ecstacy, Wampler SLOstortion, Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret and Boss BD-2. I even tried my ADA MP-1 and it sounds great.
I bought the Micro Terror a couple of months ago and hooked it up to a ppc112 cabinet with a Celestion Vintage 30 speaker and this thing is unbelievable. For $500 dollars you can get this and it's all you need. The Micro Dark Terror is coming up in about a year.
I just bought one with the 8 inch cab and it's a sweet sounding combination. You can get both cleans and crunch at bedroom levels. If you already have a big cab it will play loud enough for some gigs, but I wouldn't buy a big cab to go with it because 20 watts solid state is not enough to take advantage of the cab's headroom. An Orange PPC12 is pricey but would make a great duo with the MT.
I think sales of this amp have gone up around the globe in response to your two positive reviews. I hope Orange cuts you a great deal! (and yes, I bought one too)
I'm a bass player-I use the Bass Terror and absolutely love it...sounds great and is built like a brick shithouse...I use it for everything, blues, metal, folk etc...WIth the Bass Terror, I'm convinced of the quality, given the beating I've given it. However...I am considering getting one of these for home recording and the odd gig I do as a guitarist...I LOVE the Orange sound...Thoughts?
really an amazing amp, and your way of playing the guitar is absolutely delicious. I love it very very much, in fact, both, orange, and your guitar playing. Bravo, félicitations, super vidéo o/
fyi. I had the a vox mico amp plug "classic rock" and thought it was pretty good.It also depends on the headphones.I always wanted the big studio type of phones.I loved that it plugs directly into a guitar and you can walk around wherever and runs on a battery and fairly inexpensive.
Using this with a 1x12 Mesa Boogie, TS9, MXR Compressor. Very nice

he explained it about 3000 times already :) It's a SM57 straight into a presonus firebox into a Garageband, with a little blend of the camera mic in the mix :)
That natural ML-2...it just speaks to me...lovely sounds, great looks and please update the pic on Andertons! Right now it has a burst ML-2 with an arrow pointing to a natural ML-1, saying "in this colour!". Please. Fix. NAO!
Robchapmans My dear friend Rob, First of all congratulations on the awesome work you're doing with the band and andertons and also on your youtube channel, i consider my self a big fan of yours %
Man I have this amp and in my bedroom I have the volume at 1/2 and my parents hear it loud in the first floor of my house! This for sure is not a bedroom amp. It's a giving amp for sure!
Rob about ALL the upcoming guitar to be Decided by voting.. How about having a load of styles and what not and choosing the top 2 or 3 instead of 1 and everyone getting pissed about it? More Benefits for you tbh mate!
Guess I should have watched the whole video before posting this question. But any other overdrive or boost pedals you can suggest would be great! Thanks and keep making these vids, they're great!

Wow winger and dokken that place must of stunk like hairspray ...
Todd Cage You're all great, but the singer is great +1.
The best thing about the whole terror family of amps is that they work amazingly in a studio. You can get great crunch tones without being too loud for the microphones. Serious pieces of kit.
First demo I see of this amp that sounds good.
Got this amp yesterday, christ. Without much volume, around 10 o'clock, my parents are going mental, and this is with the original cab. I fucking love this and I'll hopefully be rocking it for years to come.\m/
This is probably the best way to show the capabilities of this amp. This is how all amp videos should be.
Chappers you are one hell of a guitarist man. Not only do I love your electric guitar shredding but your acoustic material is absolutely amazing.
I love this amp. It's an absolute beast through my 4x12 Marshall cab.
3:09 that tone!!! Ridiculous, the combination of the Micro Terror and the Marshall 4x12 is sooo nice and creamy

I just bought this amp a few hours ago and I have to say " this small amp is a pandora box " , sound so fucking incredible .
I just bought one! It just blow my mind out!!!!
Really impressive that such a tiny amps creates just a great sound, you really could take it anywhere and it's winning loads of awards and best-buys too. Might have to have a go on one.
As a huge fan of low-watt tube heads, I've been on the fence fpr a Micro Terror.
Your review just convinced me, bro!
Thanks
I love this type of amp with a solid state power section. so reliable
This little thing + a Harley Benton 2x12 = amazing and affordable gigging rig!
just gigged mine last night and i found it louder than the tiny terror i used to have awesome
Right?! This thing sounds AMAZING!
+rogerthehat Your tiny terror must have been broken then.
i did and ab and found it louder the micro tried 2 tinys but still found the micro louder than 1 tiny terrors
Is this good for gig like small gig or recording?? Plzz plzz explain me with detail and everything i needed to know
ML2 plus Blackouts = win! You sir, have given me an idea for when I eventually purchase my own ML2
Holy shit, great review mate, been looking for a amp, usually play through GarageBand and headphones, just play every now and then, but this little sucker sounds amazing,a deffo buy for me,thanx for the good vid mate
this gentleman is my new guitar hero and an inspiration to keep on playing, i wish i could meet him some day
Ive spent so much damn time tryin to find a great lil amp and a good review and you totally hooked me up!!!! You showcased all the sounds and settings and really helped me make my decision. Thank YOu!!!!
Ok, that was pretty convincing. Hearing the micro in a band situation sold it for me.
Really appreciate the scale suggestions in the Playback Package. Well made!

I plan on getting the Micro Terror double cab setup within the next month. Thanks for the videos they helped me find my next amp.
Chappers, you are a goddamn legend. Not only do you wail but you also rock the dreads.
Boy, I am infatuated with the kind of passion you obviously can't help but invest in your tones n your sounds👍
Technically yes it is, but the Tiny Terror is all valve while the Micro Terror is more solid state and has only one tube.
Cheers!
I put my entry up on Christmas Eve and I hope I wasn't too late :-) I am very excited to hear the results :-)
Great review. Thank you for all the work you put into these videos.
Yes of course, we are about to start work on prototype 2 \m/

Thanks Fran I appreciate that dude ;-)
Yes no problem, although the first months shipment is all sold out... probably have some inshore for Feb ;-)

Rob you are awesome! You inspire me to play guitar and get better. And I learn alot just from watching you play!
This competition is worldwide dude ;-)
Nice to see you're using Mr. Wallimann's resources. Hell of a nice guy, and great guitarist such as yourself.
Keep rocking Rob, really enjoy all your videos. Awsome reviews, guitar playing, always to the point, tons of info and well done.

Awesome man, yeah they are really cool I can actually fit three of them in my pedal case ha ha ;-)
Been gigging a Tiny Terror for a long time. So, no surprise that the Micro Terror is badass...
Rob got me back into playing guitar recently and I have my ML2 on order, Would like to meet him too and he only lives 30 mins away from me!
man, that ML2 with the active pickups sounds and looks great!
thanks for introducing me to the micro terror. it is amazing. cheers.
I left Dimarzio and joined Seymour Duncan, we are working on prototype 2 Silverback - it takes a long time to design and bring an amp to market ;-)

That's a killer amp. I might just traet myself this xmas!
Sweet, love Walliman's jam tracks. I've been noodling to them for some time now.
thanks rob! love micro terror! hahaha
love this little amp
Would be cool to mount the head to the cab and have it be a "combo" of sorts, but with the half stack look.
im supprised that he was able to practice with it in a room with dorje!
awesome you killed it. orange give some money to this dude
not a huge fan of the cabinet, but that amp is the next thing i'll be purchasing
Like I said, you can definitely gig it - but you would have to mic it up through a PA ;-)
fyi. I had the a vox mico amp plug "classic rock" and thought it was pretty good.It also depends on the headphones.I always wanted the big studio type of phones.I loved that it plugs directly into a guitar and you can walk around wherever and runs on a battery and fairly inexpensive.

That natural ML-2...it just speaks to me...lovely sounds, great looks and please update the pic on Andertons! Right now it has a burst ML-2 with an arrow pointing to a natural ML-1, saying "in this colour!". Please. Fix. NAO!

Great amp, i bought one few days ago.. love it!
Do you think this Amp with a small Zoom g3xn multieffect and a Ibanez Js1000 satriani signature(H-H DiMarzio Fred and Paf pro) sound good?
Antonio Coloprisco, i haven’t Tried The Zoom, but Js1000 is a great Guitar! I think it’ll sound really good!
I wanna meet him too... coolest dude on the interwebz truly...
Robchapmans My dear friend Rob, First of all congratulations on the awesome work you're doing with the band and andertons and also on your youtube channel, i consider my self a big fan of yours %
Move jimmi, hes staring into my soul!
Thinking of using one as a little amp for a killer home studio tone! Either mic'd up or using a Speaker Simulator??
I think it would sound fantastic through a PPC112OB \m/
Leave it to Chappers awesome playing make me want yet another amp....
awesome review!
Man I have this amp and in my bedroom I have the volume at 1/2 and my parents hear it loud in the first floor of my house! This for sure is not a bedroom amp. It's a giving amp for sure!

Guess I should have watched the whole video before posting this question. But any other overdrive or boost pedals you can suggest would be great! Thanks and keep making these vids, they're great!
Please do more pedal board/ rig challenges with Lee!
I hope to be getting one pretty soon n if possible, I'll try n tag you when it's in my house n I'm reviewing it on my phone
hey guys, when is the last day for uploads to be allowed?
excelente review!
Mr. Rob!... Great video, Senor! Question... What is that astoundingly hair raising Ocatvia-like effects you're using? Slammin'!... Big C.
I agree with Andrew Erwin, forget the tube preamp. A tube power amp would be a million times better than the tube in preamp.
Just bought this amp because of you!! thanks so much dude! -chayce abbey
Just putting a small drive pedal in the front will help the sound
