    Thank you for the video, I stumbled into the same issue. Not plug and play as mentioned on ebay post. Thank you for the video, the link and information.

    Haha “then I found out I have to buy the relay set” 😅😅😅 welcome to 4Runner life bro I am outta room to run anymore relays I’m finding spots where spots shouldn’t exist to fit more relays for anything and everything. 😅

    Got a question, the blue light on the dashboard worked when you turn on the high beam?

    • @BenitoGuerrero
      @BenitoGuerrero  2 роки тому +1

      It worked. It was just dim. Found it was just the dimmer switch was turned down.

    So if you hook up the lights without having the aftermarket harness they will work but high beams will not?

      If I remember correctly they did not work at all without the relay harness

    I have the same year runner, h4 harness and different LED headlights, when I tried mine I only get low beams and nothing happens when I switch on the highs. Before trying the harness, I switched the black and white wires from the headlight plug (Top and left) and both highs and lows came on on low beam so I know the bulbs work, and all turned off on highs. Any idea why I’m getting a different result?
    Also, my high beam lever only flashes highs but won’t stay clicked into place to stay on, yours seems to work properly so I may need a new combination switch

      Are you using a relay harness like the one I installed? The wiring is the same but the power is not when it comes to powering the LED headlight. I'll make another video shortly showing the wiring for all 3, the headlights, daytime running lights and turn signals.

      @@BenitoGuerrero my LED lights don’t have the turn signal function/ lights like yours does. I’m not entirely sure what H4 wiring harness I have, I got it off of Amazon and it’s made in china, same factory plug in for the 1990 4runner lights.
      I think my high beams switch may be faulty, when I pull back on the lever, the high beams come on using the flash function, but when I push the lever forward, I get the high beam light indicator on my dash but no high beams, the lever also doesn’t stay on the high beam setting when I push it forward, it just bounces back to the low beam position which makes me think the lever/ switch is faulty. Does that make sense?

      @BenitoGuerrero  2 роки тому +1

      @@Yabishp The light switch should stay forward for the high beams. You're correct in assuming that your switch might be bad.

    Hello
    Wondering what did you connect the DRL to?

    • @BenitoGuerrero
      @BenitoGuerrero  3 роки тому

      I used this little circuit here. Connected to the battery positive and ground and then just connected the red cable to the red connector on the new LED lights. Works great. amzn.to/31a2Ubq

    Oh I forgot to ask did you ever do an update? For the day time running lights and turn signals?

    • @BenitoGuerrero
      @BenitoGuerrero  3 роки тому

      I did film it but never made the video. It's basically just a connection from the green connector I show in this video to the hot wire on the turn signal below. I recommend you do it when you install the lights or you'll have to remove the front end just to do the simple connection. I bought something like this to connect the turn signal. amzn.to/2QZGkRq

    Would this work on my 78 toyota pickup with 4 headlights

    • @BenitoGuerrero
      @BenitoGuerrero  2 роки тому

      If the wiring is the same I would assume so. Toyota is famous for using the same wiring for a long time. I have a Toyota FJ Cruiser radio in this 4runner and it just plugged right in.

    what is the name of the relay kit

    • @BenitoGuerrero
      @BenitoGuerrero  2 роки тому

      It's been a few years but they're all over Ebay. Just type Toyota LED relay kit. Usually run under $20. Just make sure it works for the type of headlights you're replacing.
