as a okc fan this season has been fun to watch but i could've told all of yall from the start that we aren't ready to contend yet, this is great learning experience for them.

That's because no other Thunders show up to work in this series except Shai. The Mavs trap him every time he had the ball. There were 2 defenders on him when he tried to orchestra the offense forced him to give up the ball or take tough shot. Mavs role players show up to work when needed. That is not the case for the Thunder. Thunder role players need to make the 3 they take right out of the game.

I agree - it's a fantastic team. We've accomplished A LOT this season and unfortunately very vocal casual fans like speak when they should shut up.
The undisputed facts are that OKC:
- Won 17 more games than last season that's almost 50% more games than the previous szn
- It's really only in the 3rd szn of it's rebuild (Russ left 2019)
- To make the play-in tourney last szn was insane!
- To make the playoffs this szn was insane!
- To be the #1 seed, WINNING the western conference is beyond insane!
- To sweep the first round of the playoffs is beyond insane!!
So for people to make comments about how we're not that good or it's not our time or the most ridiculous of them all "They ain't ready" is people acting like they're basketball experts by making THE MOST basic and casual comments.

Been a bad shooting series except for game 1. Some credit to the Mavs defense, they're leaving the bad guys open but OKC started Joe tonight and he went 2/8 too, everyone is bricking. The Mavs lesser shooters are stepping up while nobody from OKC is. Series isn't over though for sure and this team keeps competing til the end, it's great. Thunder up!

It's been an off shooting last 4 games, not just this game
Just put Cason on Kyrie and Lu on Luka, and play 1 on 1 defense. No double team. Its not working over and over and i dont know why Mark still doing that same defensive scheme. The Thunder will be fine. JDud and Co need to shoot some 3" right out of the game. You got to make their big defenders to come out of the paint and defense the perimeter. That would open thing up for the Thunder.

on the other hand, I do think the shots generated in this game (especially early) look much better than previous games. The style looks like how we played in regular season
Keep the faith thunder fans. We are young and we have to learn somehow. The shots not falling is a way of showing us we may not be ready yet, but i want us to do well and make 3rd round atleast. Man I absolutely LOVE this team and it's frustrating to watch them struggle. We've seemed off for this whole series but I do see flashes of greatness. Hopefully our guys will be able to come back strong on Saturday and get a W but regardless of how it closes out, it's been one heck of a fun season to be a Thunder fan!
Remember these guy are all young. This is their first go at this, everyone’s first go at this from coach on down. We are technically still in this series even being down 3-2. No need to be down them, be proud of them. Got some stuff to figure out and they have answered that call when needing to all year long. “Let the cake bake” Thunder nation. Still can turn this around. If shots fall last night, we are all singing a different tune.

The key is there are some people you can live with taking an open 3, like Jones Jr. But in general hardaway, Washington, and green cannot get corner 3s. Live with them taking above the break 3s
Honestly, it's the one thing I actually hate about it. I know we are scared of Luka going off, but to give up open 3s all day is sad. I would rather just play and force Luka to do it all and not disregard the corner 3s. We need to stay more at home on their shooters and live with individual defense.
I was at the game last night, in fact I haven't missed a game on TV or in person since 2020 in bubble and not to mention, I've been the last two summer league games in Vegas just to name a few. I say all of this because I've seen them struggle to get where they are now in the 2nd round of the NBA playoffs. And believe you will see us as the youngest NBA to make the Western Conference Finals! We have played Thunder basketball since the 1st round and I'm telling you come this Saturday in Dallas we will do what necessary to come back home and close them out!

For a team with the highest 3 point % in the league to have such a poor % in the playoffs seems like maybe a matter of being a little more tense when shooting since this is much higher stakes. They’ve played against all of these teams in the season while getting that high %. There are other factors, for sure. And Dallas is a real handful for us with the combo they have now.
My question is where was Kenny Hustle to grab some boards?

If we choose to not let the mavs rattle us and know we are the better team and get our normal shots to fall and move the darn ball like we normally do we will win this series I’m telling you! Cannot give them that many open looks with no contest it will be so much better. Mavs cannot make contested shots that often no doubts .
I guess I’m no expert, but the offense looked bad to me tonight. The defense was about average and thus warrants the score. Obviously both sides of the ball have to be at least a tick above average if we want a prayer in game 6. I think this team is capable, but it’s certainly an uphill battle no doubt.
I don’t understand the coach’s comments about Josh Giddey? He praised his performance but restricted him to 11 minutes? Action speaks louder than words. Giddey deserves better.
Mark has not looked like the COTY this entire series, we have completely changed the game plan, the constant doubling in clearly not working, no matter how hot PJ Washington gets, for some reason he is still open in the corner, and the offensive scheme you have ran all year (with giddeys playmaking) has been thrown out the window, Mark also needs to learn that you can run a 10 man rotation in the playoffs. We look completely lost and defeated and don’t know what to do about it even though the answer seems obvious.
Because Mark is a regular season COTY… knew he would be exposed on the big stage. His first playoffs too so what can you say, except rotations was suspect
BULLSHIT - we don't look completely lost and defeated. We had a game where we shot poorly. That's all. You're WAYYYYY too quick to throw shade and over state the negative. Step back son, you ain't even giving credit for the close losses previously in this series. 4 points was one loss.....that's easy to overcome with a few better plays. The other was 9, that's only 13 points in 2 losses. Easily overcome. We had an off shooting night, that's all. Stop giving up and being so damned negative. OKC has done a helll of a lot this season and post-season and deserves WAY more respect. They've earned it even if you're a negative nancy.
If you shoot 25% in every game, get out of class.

He absolutely is a second option but it's his second year. Guy is a bucket, one of the best pull up shooters in the league while playing great defense. He's had a down series for sure but hating now is absurd.

Jalen’s one of the best second options in the game, especially for his level of experience. He’s scared to screw up, is what I think. I’d rather die with him being aggressive and missing good shots than with him deferring to anyone else.

No. We’re just saying THIS isn’t working. Fix it. Fix J Dub. Fix the 3 point shooting and overall shooting. Act like you’re the best shooting team in the league. No assists. No movement. Everything changed after game 1 and they haven’t played Thunder ball since. If they get back to that kind of shooting and playing as a team, they can seriously win it all. This has gotten to be a mental thing now. Daigneault doesn’t know how to inspire them to get out of this slump.
Statistically based on the last 40 years of NBA data they have a 16% chance of winning the series. And based on what we are seeing they can’t win two Mavs games in a row. Trust me I’m a huge Thunder fan but that game last night didn’t feel like our regular team strategy. 25% from 3pt land isn’t working. Also Mavs got 12 more defensive rebounds than we did and shot 40% from 3. 😢

Coach is talking like he's still coaching a rebuilding team. The players sound way too accepting of this loss, and I see why b/c of how the coach sounds.
Presti must bring more battle-tested vets to the team, from players to Daigneault's coaching staff. The Thunder will not get far if they settle for accepting moral victories. A good vet would help them cut that mess out.
The problem is many in OKC can't see this.

@@zoharayalon7594 I said a _good_ vet. Like someone with playoff experience, a win-at-all-costs attitude, and a voice that resonates in the locker room. Look at how (NBA champion) Markieff Morris rallies and coaches up his teammates then look at OKC's vets interactions -- it's night and day.
Daigneault also needs vets on his coaching staff, as he too is young and inexperienced. This was made obvious when he opted to play an 11-man playoff rotation when other teams narrow their rotation to 8 or 9 ppl.
Both the coach and team came to the playoffs thinking they'd just be able to treat it like the regular season and that thinking has backfired in the Dallas series.
We need to play in transition!!!! Play Luka and Kyrie an island with Dort and Cason. Start Cason please!!!!

I think asking for a trade sounds extreme, but he definitely needs to press Presti to get him help. There's no reason why they didn't have better big depth since the start of the season.
Coach D cost the team big by playing Giddy and Hayward. Neither can play a lick of defense. Hayward should retire, he has nothing left to contribute to any team.
