Good ideas. The two-hour pass for the TTC is a great idea. It allows people travelling short distances to make quick return trips on the one fare.
On a technical note, you might want to spell TTC and YRT phonetically e.g.tee tee see, wye are tee, for the computer voice.

Senior visitors are punished by the add-on costs to get senior rates. TTC still means take the car.

You know you're talking to someone that has lived in this city for a long time when they say ttc means take the car. That saying was coined in the city in the 80s and 90s. The newer generation does know that's what it's called.

    I’m not paying 3.30 for 2km. It’s crazy.

The monthly passes are priced completely wrong. At $156/mo. and $3.30/single trip with Presto, you need to make 48 trips every month to break even. Assuming separate going and returning fares every time, that's 24 days every month. Even if you're working five days per week, that's only 20-21 days per month. You need to make a trip every weekend to break even, too. If you work from home one day, take a sick day, or spend a single weekend at home, you've lost money.
Even the 12-month pass is priced wrong. At $143/mo. you need 44 separate fares (roughly 22 days) every month all year. Even a week or two vacation out of town would set you behind.

Not really as the average public transit-user in Toronto has the highest salary in Canada.

Using the Presto Card to just pay lower fares is a better deal than the monthly pass because of the 2 hr transfer and the fact the TTC has so many opportunities to fare evade like broken/restarting presto readers, crowded buses, rear door entry, tailgating etc.😂😂

Not being a car owner I have no idea on whether driving one's own vehicle around Toronto provides any better value for money anywhere these days. And if so, by how much. But I suspect it doesn't. Take into consideration the insurance and parking fees for both workplace and apartment parking, plus gas and maintenance for one's vehicle. And let's remember the high distress of a daily commute navigating through city traffic for drivers versus the privilege of letting someone else do the driving for transit riders. Hmmm! Let's figure out who is getting the better daily experience plus the lower impact on the pocket book.

It doesn't unless you need it for business or are just rich

For me I have been a transit user for 2013-18 and 2019-24 driving
      Driving is a lot better
      1) privacy for ones self
      2) weather control which a lot of stations don’t provide cold as heck in many subway stations in Toronto forget heated stops those are a luxury
      3) security especially recently ttc has had major security challenges
      4) timeliness I find myself more on time in a car cuz there’s always route B C D to get to work unlike on ttc and other metros you’re at the whim of their own decisions
      5) your driver license is valid in US too once u get the G license the world opens up to ya you can rent a car in US no issues unlike w transit since many US cities still don’t have much transit u aren’t bound by it so u can still enjoy US some how
      6) you aren’t at the whims of projects getting done and suffering for a lifetime until metrolinx gets its act together 😬🫠😬 can’t wait forever I could pay off 2 or 3 cars in the time they complete one line
      7) cars maybe expensive now yes but once paid off u own an asset thts YOURS and no one can take that away from ya im proud i paid off my car before I turned 30 😎
Tho i still want bullet trains in between cities and regionally also but institutions let me down so hard
