As always, great video. Thank you for all the amazing material. One thing, I believe you placed the door lever is on the hinge side instead of the latching side. The pointy end of the swing symbol on the elevation halfway up the door is the hinge. REF: ARCHITECTURAL GRAPHIC STANDARDS, or any shop drawing by the Door Manufacturer. Keep up the great work. Best Always.
@@jorgemarien5140 haha they do indeed swirl clockwise. We are upside down though after all. In Australia we typically show the swing lines converging at the latch, whereas I know in Europe it is the opposite. In the USA I believe it might be the same as Australia.
@@AussieBIMGuru ha! I'm truly surprised about the door swing representation. Truly a new one for me. I learned something today. I do wonder why, anyone would change that in the history of drafting. Does the software reflect that? I do see some chatter in the interwebs, but no resources yet. Thanks. This is a good one.
Need a video on using worksets, I will be working alone but I figured I could use work sets to “lock” my asbuilt floor plans (existing building) so I can not accidentally move and existing wall etc.
It is a good tutorial. It could even became better if you would have included the opening angle as well as 2D representation of the door. Keep up the great job
Thank you for your most valuable videos. My only criticism is that you work very quickly. If you went half as quickly they would be twice as good for a less talented Revit user like myself. This is the one reason that I have not signed up for your courses. Having said that, keep them coming please.
Hvala unaprijed 🙂
Great video as always, Thank you. I am about to graduate university and have been offered an opportunity to work for a company to create Solar PV families. Do you have any kind of basic video tutorial on this kind of thing, or could you create one? I have followed and watched your videos for a long time now, and will 100% become a paying member of your premium content when I start getting paid... Ps... Thanks to your content, I finished top of my BIM/Revit class last year! You sir are now a living legend amongst my piers 🎉🎉
Hi, Thanks for the video, could be tricky for beginner like me. One thing is not clear - why would we lock some lines and give dimensions to the rest of them, while creating the frame profile ? Thank you.
ok good work, but... what about plan view?, and how to setup a parameter that define ONLY three colors?, I mean, I have a door that could be red, green or blue for example, could it be a parameter that i can select one of these three colors? thank you
Today it was whole day that i tried to train parametric door in revit i very confused.
Thanks this make clear 😄😄😄
Wao! Best and easiset tutorial i seen in a while

It depends on the country you work in.
@@AussieBIMGuru Interesting! I have never noticed. Maybe you mean hemisphere? Hm! Do toilets really vortex the other way there?

@@AussieBIMGuru By Europe I assume you mean the UK and Ireland, everywhere else it's like you said converging at the latch

I think you put the door knob on the opposite direction
Thanks for your help
I am one of your fans from uganda i hope you make a video on making a fancy house

Hopefully soon
Thanks be to God

Doors are not a cuttable family in Revit. The product documentation says they are, but they most certainly are not.
Very nice tutorial of door family but lack of the symbol of door swing (better with degree adjustment)~
yes, that is also an important part. All of that is included in the course, this was modeling only 🙂
@@balkanarchitect OK I got it ! XD
Thanks, what about a double door
Plz make a video on dome reinforcement .
# Revit structure
Hi, where can I find these revit families
Thank you for this tutorial but I have a question, why is that the door handle same materials as the main door?
Can you please make a video about revit to twinmotion workflow
good tutorial, but when you order a 3068 door those are rough openings. you never specify a door by trimmed opening
Great video as always, Thank you.

Whe n I try to align the oopeining to the new reference planes (aroun d 6:40), I get the error message "Can't unlock alignments from family template".

Hi, I couldn’t see any rebates of this door frame
How do I add a door handle to the open door?
Is it possible to download one?
Will this display a door and swing in plan views?
❤️
Hi do you do private tutorials?
I think you got the door opening symbol meaning that you stated is wrong. Its the other way around...
Thank you for this video!
Question for you, would this be similar to making a door for a curtain wall ??
how to create a double door
