Hey you guys! So this is one of the last video from our trip down to LA at the beginning of this year. We teamed up with James and Matt of Renick Performance to bring you this heavily modified Cadillac ATS-V, built for the street and track. It's twin turbo V6 puts down about 600HP to the rear wheels, which is roughly 700HP at the crank, making it more powerful than a stock Lamborghini Huracan. Enjoy!

The ATS-V needs no handling mods. If anything, changing the stock setup would only make it worse.Don't discredit how good this car comes from the factory.

Absolutely correct. The current chassis w/ magnetic ride control gives you best of both worlds--you can have a softer/easier to steer ride in Tour mode, or if you want the suspension to tighten up and add weight to the steering, with more aggressive shifts, etc. in Sport or Track modes...you can definitely feel the difference.
In some respects, yes. But upgraded bushings and trailing arms does wonders for wheel hop.
The car drives magnificent stock. Modifying steering is spending money to worsen it

You didn't speak on the most important aspect of the car. The mods that it used to get to the current power levels. Constantly saying it's insane gives no information
Water meth and retune at 17lbs with a rear diff swap from a 6spd. He said it just not very clearly

@@GrizzySC Has to be more than 17psi & wmi because they make like 380-390 stock at 14psi. Ive saw like 2 make 525-550 @18psi with bolt ons

I love the ATS-V, I'd love one with their upgraded turbos and bolt ons. That white looks killer I'm just not crazy about the interior spec.
I have a 14 ATS 2.0t and I have renicks under chassis brace and waiting on my preorder axle back exhaust. I’m FBO E50 stock turbo making around 330/350 wheel hp. My next upgrades are zl1 fuel pump for full e85 and then 20g uhf turbo and then save money for forged internals so I can turn up the boost and make around 450 wheel hp.
I have a 2013 Cadillac ATS4 3.6 and you could definitely tell the difference between tour and sport mode, but just in stock goes crazy. you think it would be a small v8 the way it pull and pushes. thinking of putting a 6.2 V8 in my car from Texas speed. may my engine stopped working millions years later... but this is my first car and we'll always be with me

I am leaning towards sell my C6 and purchasing a ATS V coupe.
There is no "fake" carbon fiber on a Cadillac ATS V. In reality, carbon fiber is 'plastic', there is nothing luxurious about this material, other than it is very strong and looks better than ordinary plastic. The piano black has become very popular, that European car manufacturers use it in Mercedes, Aston Martins, Jaguars, BMW, Maybach and other high-end autos and no one complains... They have copied this American style. So why is Cadillac so viciously attacked for utilizing gloss black surfaces? If you don't like your fingerprints smudged on the gloss finish I recommend wearing driving gloves. Simple solution. Or does driving gloves seem too tacky keeping your fingers sweaty? Stop criticizing your American autos, and enjoy their rejuvenated renaissance. The ATS V has so much to offer an enthusiast driver compared to a BMW or Mercedes. Overall review a B+. Cadillac ATS V an A+.
The gloss black is nice however it would be nice to have some other interior trim options in case it's not your thing. Typically you'd have at least 3 other choices with other manufacturers.

My homegirl just got one and man she makes me want to get rid of my stsv for one. It's a shocking feeling when you're in track mode. The torque is insane. The turbos are instantly spooled but linear and predictable. I love it. Her car is red, victory red coupe with no sunroof
The Renick Performance ATS-V numbers are conservative, I can tell you from driving these cars. Smoking Ferraris, Lambos and hanging with GTRS in an ATSV.
As a ats v owner I feel attacked when you said fake carbon fiber lol and you didn’t show no 1/4 mile time either take a dislike

Lowered cars use it in case they need to be towed, can't hookup to stuff that has low clearances and wind skirts.
And from my understanding, MOST tracks require you to have tow hooks.

My dad bought me this car and I love it... I have the Audi S6 and I love my Caddie so much more... I hardly ever drive my S6. Ive been thinking about asking for the V series of I get good grades again and I most definitely will do everything possible to get the V series..

The ATS-V has a twin turbo V6 whereas the CTS-V has a supercharged V8

700 hp is likely at the crankshaft. The 600ish is what makes it to the tires and road.

think whatever u wanna think! yea I test drove it at the time.. for short distances it was ok.. but once I got to use it for long distances, I realized how uncomfortable it was... I had the option between this Cadillac junk, bmw junk and lexus junk.. and at the time it made more sens to go with an American made car but it was a big mistake... once I had the car, as I paid more attentioni realized how poor the built is and low quality cheap materials used in it.. terrible suspensions … believe me this car is pure junk... u wanna buy mine!!!!

It's built on the GM Alpha platform, which is currently known as one of the best platforms in history for performance and practicality.
Also, the ATS is Cadillacs entry level car, and therefore the ATS-V is the entry level V. Don't expect Rolls Royce quality on an entry level car.
I own a 2009 STS-V, and while it doesn't share the crazy power of the CTS-V thanks to the lack of a Supercharged LS/LT motor, I can still never get over how well Cadillac can make a 4,000 pound sedan handle.
