Chala head Chala (Cha-la head cha-la) in Cantonese, full version, transliterated lyrics. Dragon Ball Z (龙珠Z / Lóngzhū Z) opening.
RIP Akira Toriyama. Grew up with Dragon ball in Cantonese. Was the best thing ever
Growing up as a kid all my DB was in Cantonese, great to hear it again after so many decades. R.I.P to Akira Toriyama, his mastery of his craft and story telling will be missed.
Thank you! I grew up with this Cantonese version!
I used. To buy the pirates vhs tapes from chinatown
Me too. 90% of the Canto I learned from age 4 to 10 came from Dragonball VHS tapes
Toriyama drew much inspiration from Bruce Lee (as did the entire modern anime/manga industry), even naming the franchise after his film *Enter the Dragon*
Seeing as Lee’s films were usually dubbed in Cantonese or English, it’s cool to see DBZ in those languages as well, though it’s not as if I understand Cantonese to begin with.
Lee’s films were originally in Cantonese and dubbed Mandarin.
It is Cantonese. This version was the first version of DBZ I saw as a child, all other dubs sounded off afterwards.
Beautiful DRAGON BALL Z theme! I heard that Katsuhiro Otomo’s AKIRA (1988) was dubbed in Cantonese for the Hong Kong theater and video market sometime in late 80s or early 90s. However, the Hong Kong censorships made few changes for the film, especially the AKIRA ending theme is replaced with a new song "Ya Ji La" and is performed by Tai Chi. I hope someday I’ll watch AKIRA (1988) in the Cantonese version, just to appreciate Japan’s Asian neighbors who enjoy watching AKIRA (1988).
Was it ever released on vhs or laser disc in cantonese? I've never seen it but could exist. I remember I used to have vhs version nausicaa in canto. I think they might have redubbed it for the dvd releases.
i grew up with dragon ball z when i was baby
I grew up with it when I was old
This is where the Filipino-English version took the instrumentals from.
Notice how multiple dubs modify or change the original Japanese opening theme (Arabic, Canadian, Cantonese) yet sub fanatics only hate on the US replacement scores. Obviously it’s because they feel threatened by how successful the dub soundtrack is.
Sun Wúkong leyend, chinese mitology 🇨🇳
Dude why
Because sun wukong was the character goku was based on!!!😂😂😂
Say My Nameeee!!!

such good memory
The transliteration is wrong, this is cantonese but you're using pinyin, that's for mandarin.
I thought Cantonese and Mandarin used the same pinyin system
No, Cantonese uses jyutping, not pinyin.
See: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jyutping
Ah, I see now, thank you very much :)
wait but are both the same at grammars?

Socialism Version
this was the hong kong version, which was released when hong kong was still in british empire, so no
For kids out there. Socialism = we take care of everybody. Capitalism = I be super rich, you can die. Which is better?
@@Seramics Please don't mislead the children who might read these comments. Socialism = state-enforced theft. Capitalism = voluntary trade.
This is the Hong Kong version. Everything but socialism. Learn first before making conclusions.
It’s from Hong Kong which in the 80s was more capitalist than America
