I am absolutely guttered about the news of Toriyama's passing. I've never cried for the death of someone famous, as I don't feel that anyone has ever meant that much to me outside of my friends and family. But when I found out about this, I was traveling and didn't believe it at first. I sat on the plane with the Dragon Ball music playing in my ears and I was completely overwhelmed with emotion. I couldn't believe my own feelings, but as the days have gone by it has made more and more sense. Dragon Ball- its story and its characters; they have been living inside me since I was a child. I didn't know the man himself, but his work helped me grow into who I am today. Knowing he's gone, I feel my eyes well up and my heart break. I don't know what else to say for now. I already made this remake as part of my next batch of covers, and wanted to share it with all of you in celebration of Akira Toriyama and the tale that he told. I wish to make something special to commemorate him, but I want to take my time with it. I hope we all see him in other world one day so we can thank him for everything.
I feel the same way man. His work has also been with me since childhood and has shaped me so positively into who i am. I felt sad at first, but then remembered that if anything he would want us to be happy and keep pushing our limits. Looking forward to your next music piece
It’s both heartbreaking and heartwarming to see Goku with little Gohan on the Nimbus. It reminds me of when these two had no true worries; Goku would just train, and Gohan was just a pure hearted little boy. Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama. Thank you for all those awesome moments with Goku and Gohan, and the rest of the Dragon Team 🙏
R.I.P Toriyama-sensei, the absolute G.O.A.T of anime. You helped a lot of great people thrive, raised a whole generation, and single-handedly saving a bunch of lives with your amazing work of art.❤️
You know what i find interesting is he was born the year of the GOAT (*get it cause he's the goat?*) and passed on the year of the Dragon 202(4) just a few months prior to the 40th anniversary🤔
All the other “all time” mangaka’s fully and willingly say all the time he was their inspiration, and that without him FMA, OP, Naruto, Bleach, YGO, and all of them in between wouldn’t exist as they do.
It hurts even more because Toriyama clearly loved his work like it was another child to him. He was THE pioneer of anime and made it such an acceptable medium in television, paving the way for other artists and manga writers to make other amazing works of art. He actually said he didn’t like dragon ball approaching the end of Z. He would have ended the series after frieza, because like as a manga artist is brutal as he need to create weekly content, but sooooo many people and companies depend on dragon ball content that he had to keep extending the manga, finally stopping at Buu. PS: dragon ball Z is half the revenue of the company making the anime, ending dragon ball would be terrible for business

However, if Toriyama sensei actually did end DB at Piccolo's defeat, or Frieza's defeat, or Cell's, then we would never have had iconic scenes and characters such as Super Saiyan, SS2 Gohan, the Fusion Dance or Vegito. Sometimes serendipity has its way of doing things. If DB never had those iconic moments and characters, because the publisher egged Toriyama sensei to continue, then Dragonball would never have reach its current legendary status. One could say that not only do we have Toriyama sensei to thank for our childhood, but his supervisors and his publishers too, for getting Toriyama sensei go that extra mile, even when he didn't want to. If we remember his life before his debut, Toriyama sensei originally did manga just for money, but because of the way other people around him pushed him, or encouraged him to go further, the world got a great childhood and memories, even when everything else in life sucked.
This song has this special power to make me want to soar in the air, fire a Kamehameha, and go Super Saiyan. I don't think anything else embodies Toriyama's work more than this song. You did it justice Rest in Power, Akira Toriyama
An amazing tribute for Akira Toriyama. May he rest in the Otherworld with the knowledge that Dragon Ball has made a huge impact to so many people and have been a part of their childhood and maybe even throughout adulthood.
Farewell Toriyama sensei. Thank you for making all of our childhoods that much better. we can't wait to see you again..... on the next episode of Dragon. Ball. Z!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The man who literally brought anime to the west, and was part of two of the most legendary JRPGS in gaming history, and was inspiration for millions across the Earth. May he rest well and have fun in the Afterlife with the Kais.
I went and looked this up when I saw a news article about how toonami reserved an entire block for just dbz kai in tribute of toriyama, godspeed to that beautiful bastard, he made so much more of an impact than most of us could ever hope to
Goodbye Akira Toriyama. You gave us some of the most memorable characters. The gentle, yet strong Gohan, the serious family man, Piccolo, The prideful Prince of the Saiyans, Vegeta, and most importantly, the Saiyan raised on Earth, Son Goku. Thank you for the memories Mr. Toriyama. Your legacy will be remembered as one of the best manga artists and the creator of the one and only..... Dragon Ball.
No matter what side of the world you were on, what sort of interpretation you had, or what entry point into the franchise that you came from, we can all agree that the legacy of the man who made it all was massive, unique, and far-reaching, even beyond his main field. Here's hoping we can all look past our disparate points of view to respect that. As even the world is looking past their own usual barriers at this time. The outpouring we've seen so far across the internet and other media around the world is more than proof enough of this. This was truly a magnificent remake, and I have a lot to say about what went into it, but for now, it's time to remember what Toriyama's work meant to each of us who experienced and were enthralled by it at some point in our lives.
"Dont be sad Because its gone, Be happy Because it happened" - Dr. Seuss. , Toriyama Sensei would of said the same thing. Rest in Peace and in Power Akira Toriyama🐉🕊🕊

Dragon Ball may not be the best written anime, but it’s still a roller coaster of fun and flashy action, lovable characters, and iconic moments. Thank you for everything, Akira Toriyama. King Kai will take good care of you.

This has touched so many peoples hearts, and this is a really good send off for the passing of the The Legend Akira Toriyama. He has brought us the best of everything that shows everyone the spectacular things. Even the music is really nice. ❤❤❤❤
Dragon Ball was one of the gateway animes for me. It's funny to look back at the fact that as a pretty young Gen Z teenager I first watched the OG Dragon Ball instead of skipping to a later point (it's probably because of the fact I always liked watching things chronologically). I'm honestly grateful because I got to see Goku's original journey firsthand. Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama. Thank you for creating a franchise that I and many others love and can be inspired by.
I love how fitting this is. Akira Toriyama may not be with us now, but his work still carries us into the future. Great job as always. RIP Akira Toriyama
Beautiful art, beautiful animation, beautiful music. For some reason I just couldn't hold back the tears listening to this. Dragon Ball gave me so much and it hurts not being able to give Toriyama the appreciation he deserves anymore.
The first head cha la's rose the hair on my whole body... this track is very emotional. Outstanding! Toriyama changed my life. His work inspired me to be my best self, to always fight for what I believe in and to be good to people.
Another great one! I’m also sad about the news especially since I grew up with Dragonball, I remember giving it a try when I was around 11/12 years old, since then I got stuck with it and I’m 35 years old now. I loved the story and character development and the characters themselves. For me it has been an inspiration and still will be.

I was shook awake, it was as though someone had kicked me in the balls. Your rendition of this song is so well-done and very high quality, I’m in awe of how wonderful it sounds. This was absolutely phenomenal and I freaking love everything about this awesome job with the video keep up the great work and don't stop making possibilities like Akira Toriyama Rest in peace to him.✨️🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
All throughout my life dragon ball has been one of the most important things to me, as a person. Like many people here, it's helped me when times were hard, it gave me so many chances, experiences and memories and none of it would be possible without Akira Toriyama. Thank you Toriyama, for creating this beautiful piece of art that touched so many people, and will continue to do so. See you in other world, Tori-Bot.
Although I'm young and grew up with Z Kai, I'm really liking the Japanese dubs and everything. The genius behind it all, Mr Akira Toriyama. It's a pleasure to be alive while he was doing the amazing work he was done. I haven't even watched the OG Dragon Ball yet. And now I will.
This was very beautiful, my friend. Especially the beginning. I first got the news before bed that night. Was too much in shock to go to sleep. The next day, I was a crying mess. It just goes to show how Akira's work really touched our lives and hearts ❤️
R.I.P Akira Toriyama. Thank you for so much incredible work of yours over the years and shaping the modern pop culture world with your stories and characters that helped inspire and motivate people 💜
I absolutely feel you Gladius hearing about Toriyama's death left me in shambles and I for real am so heartbroken but he will forever be remembered for years to come and his legacy will never die. This song is an absolute classic and you once again killed it and I hope you have a great rest of your year and I wish all the best to you and your future endeavors. You a GOAT for dropping this. 🐐🔥🔥🐐
These tunes you've remastered are gonna keep Akira's memory alive. As someone who creates, I can't think of a better reward. Far outweighing any UA-cam stats will eventually follow
Damn! You keep crushing it Gladius! I of course was truly saddened by his death. His series formed so much of my childhood and adolescence in such positive ways that I can't even truly describe with words. Even as an adult, my love for his work has only continually grown as I keep getting older. I normally don't consider anyone in Hollywood or anyone working in any part of the entertainment industry to be brilliant because most tv series and films out there in the world are not great and are certainly not to the level of true art. However, l believe that Akira Toriyama was really something else compared to the vast majority of other storytellers and writers out there in the world. He was truly a genius and an exceptionally inspirational storyteller in his own right. His series inspired me to become a life-long martial artist myself and fight like hell for my own life even during the darkest times of my life by learning how to use my own spirit and life force. Moreover, his series inspired me to constantly strive for my maximum hidden potential/power I have deep within me. Btw, I really believe that Akira Toriyama would've loved all of your remixes, especially this one.
Thank you, and thank you for your thoughts. Out of all the things, books, movies, stories that I’ve come to love in my life, Dragon Ball has flown far above all of them. I don’t know who I’d be today without its spirit guiding me through my journey. Rip Toriyama sensei 💜

All throughout my life dragon ball has been one of the most important things to me, as a person. Like many people here, it's helped me when times were hard, it gave me so many chances, experiences and memories and none of it would be possible without Akira Toriyama. Brilliant work and such a fitting tribute.
Hope you are doing ok during this sad time.
Rest in peace Toriyama-sama you meant the world to so many. 💜
Well done dude. This is an epic arrangement. You killed it 🔥
Thank you 🔥🐉
This was very beautiful, my friend.

This song is an absolute classic and you once again killed it and I hope you have a great rest of your year and I wish all the best to you and your future endeavors. You a GOAT for dropping this. 🐐🔥🔥🐐

May Toriyama train in Other World with Miura and Takahashi.
Love it❤❤❤ Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama 😔🙏
These tunes you've remastered are gonna keep Akira's memory alive. As someone who creates, I can't think of a better reward. Far outweighing any UA-cam stats will eventually follow
Thanks again for the memories Toriyama ❤ ☁️
Yessir I knew you could do it remember me
I sure do. Thank you for the request :)
Absolute fantastic work :D
Appreciate you doing this in his honor Gladius, Toriyama would be proud!
Perfectly timed. Rest in peace Akira Toriyama
A fitting song for someone flying away forever😢❤
Tears of joy!!!
