I'm a Battletech fan. I had another Battletech fan, who was a dumbass, tell me, and I quote "a clan MASC dasher is faster than the fastest recorded AC by almost 40 kph..." The fastest Dasher variant goes 250kph. I directed them to this video and laughed at them.
@@marthofaltea1751 i think gundam and some other mecha series screw you over 10 meter is giant, all AC are 10 meter tall beside in 5/VD even 1 is around 8-10 meter but sadly game model make it confusing since when you check mech from the same timeline and in note it is way bigger than the in game model
@@hikarihakai1285 I'm just saying they could be bigger, and I'm agreeing that even at the size they are the movement feels kinda slow in comparison to the number it shows.
AC let's you do so much. Wanna go fast, here's the parts! Wanna be a tank, go ahead! Wanna be both, give it a spin! It let's you play your way and the Mecha are a good balance between cool but realistic. I'll be honest. I'm not a big fan of America Mecha, we usually just do basic walkers or just literal construction equipment on legs.
I remember using this song on my alarm clock, back in ~2015, unexpected pleasant memories.. Great vid anyway, makes me wanna check out older titles, as I just discovered AC6.
personally I'd prefer a slower pace, because I already enjoy Daemon X Machina for the extreme speeds. It'll be interesting to see what Fromsoft decides to do!
Eh ac4/fa had its good moments but the extreme speeds takes away a lot of skill and nuance. Fights just bog down to rhythmically spamming quick boost in random directions and desperately trying to keep zipping targets on screen. Much prefer acV/VD, the movement system makes you interact with the environment and gives a lot more tactical feedback.
@@Krakiolit ACV/VD was too much of a whiplash in the opposite direction. If they decide to go for a slower pace, I hope they take their inspiration from AC3 instead. Something in between AC3 and AC4 would be more my cup of tea.
I hope they stray away from AC4 personally. AC4 is basically AC3 with Human++++++++. Like, the freedom was fun, but it felt very samey once you played for a few hours. The game was really about shooting either giant forts, or lock-on dots in the distance. In PVP there was no distinction between what your targets were using. ACV was better than 4/fa in that regard IMO. If you were fighting a tank or a quad or a reverse joint, you needed to approach them differently. Also, the game being focused on 4v4 meant there was a lot more room for the different leg types to shine. Tanks were stupid good for instance when you had a team around you, not that tanks couldn't be good in other AC games, but I feel like they had real presence in V/VD in particular. Things I didn't like about ACV were the defense mechanics and scan mode mostly. Lack of actual back units was a minor complaint too. Scan mode was super clunky IMO and changing between filters like that was just annoying to look at. I also didn't really enjoy the balance around energy that had with it, even if it made a lot of sense (when in scan mode you gain more energy because your weapons were offline). The defense system was also very strict, where if you were ineffective, you were basically tickling your opponent which didn't feel good. IDK, simple is best when it comes to that type of thing. Light ACs have low AP and take a lot of damage, Tanks have high AP and take less. All in all, I hope they return back to the older styles from AC2 and AC3. I feel like the biggest thing I want them to go without is quick boosting (and scan mode of course). It's too universally good and flexible. Having shoulder units that can resemble quick boosting would be nice, but it should be a dedicated part and have a cost associated with it. Judging from the trailer, the game looked VERY old school (at least from my perspective), so my hopes are high. Side note, I have a feeling we will be able to have weapon switching AND back units. That's my wild prediction. I believe in anything FROMSOFTWARE does at this point. Even if I personally hope they steer clear of AC4 mechanics, I'm sure they could make it amazing with all this hind sight. Game already looks VERY close quarters from the trailer, so as long as they keep that up I'd be happy.

Honestly I wonder if 4 has a faster OB speed. I know 4 has a faster average regular boost. Only reason FA is as fast as it is is the quick boosting can get 3k+. But I remember being able to get my regular boost up 900+ in 4.
Remember i build super speed build, based on modified sombrero and on energy blades, also i test it on infinite energy regulations. And holy cow that shit was fast, only by spamming blades and boosting on their attacks i achieved ≈2000 km/h
