Blood work showed that I had a really bad fatty liver. I researched all over the net for what to do, and read about milk thistle. I ate a ton of it. 30 days later I did blood work, and the doctor was blown away. He was like, “How?! What did you do??” I said, a lot of milk thistle. He didn’t even want me doing blood work that early. He said there’s no point. And I was like who cares? I’m paying for it.
Just do it. 30 days. Go get some milk thistle.

I had fatty liver. I cured it. Totally gone. I cut out most carbs. Less than 50 grams a day. I lost 30 pounds and cured the problem. There’s a liver specialist in Australia- I don’t don’t remember her name, who wrote a book on it. I think it’s something like cure your fatty liver or something like that. Awesome!

I had an elder friend who had very advanced alcoholic cirrhosis. He was talking about the situation one day, and I asked him to look into milk thistle for it. The doctors had been saying he could have a liver rupture and death at any time at the point he was at.
He came back about a month later saying his dr. had oked it, and he'd started taking it. His functions not only stabilized but improved, and for another eighteen months he told me several times he was generally feeling better even though improved liver functions were a far cry from "cured" he was optimistic and he would thank me again for letting him know.
However, the liver cirrhosis did over take him and he passed away one night as many do with sudden rupturing livers with cirrhosis, he had told me once, in that 18 months, he felt my bringing it up had "bought" him time he and the drs. thought he did not have otherwise.
Thank God for the small miracles.

So many of them become grateful for their experience because it is an experience they would have never had before drinking as they often have a unique experience with a real power higher than we are. When I was growing up my mom would make a tea out of locust beans and rats vein to clean her liver. She died at 98 years old and her liver was in such good shape that they used it for transplant. Some people don't know what she used. The locust bean is that long black bean that grows on a locust tree. She used the beans inside the pod. The rats vein is a little green plant that grows under pine trees in a pine forest. It has little yellow veins running through it. She always harvested them and dried them. The rats vein grew in the spring and the locust bean turned black and was ready to harvest in the fall. That was an old liver cleanser from pioneer days.

Wow! Funny you should say that. My grandma spoke of making a 'spring tonic' that contained wild cherry bark, rat's vein, etc. My Mom said it tasted vile. Pretty sure some of the ingredients are considered carcinogenic or poisonous by today's standards but the recipients were long-lived.

My grandfather needed something to chew on while working in the fields. So he carved what he thought was a sassafras root and popped it in his mouth. Turns out it was pokeweed root. Before the day was out he was barfing blood, hallucinating, sweating and having very vivid dreams that equated to out of body experiences. Normally you can eat the leaves at certain times of the year (" poke salad") but not the root----ever!

Silybum marianum/Milk Thistle works in saving lives due to Amanita phalloides/Death cap poisoning.
I can't remember, but some sort of industrial poisoning that effects the liver is treated with Milk Thistle(in some sort of extract, pill, -form).
So it helps the liver in toxin overloads. Not sure that means you want Milk Thistle often, when you are not poisoned.

I had a large wolf Hybrid dog who blew her ACL ligaments out when she was about 6 yrs old, had the two surgery's, so her knees after paying $20k were fine, but the medicine & steroids they gave her destroyed her liver and they told me she was going to have to be put down within a year. (She could only walk about 25 feet and then would have to lay down - she was really bad, and blood test confirmed her liver was shot.)
So long story short ... I started giving her Rite Aid brand milk Thistle ... around 8 -10 capsules a day (2 about every 4- 5. hrs. I cut her back to about 4 a day after about a year when she started to become like a normal dog again. Then I gave her two in the morning, and 2 at night.) She lived a pretty normal life for about 6 more years and could walk about a mile without having to stop and rest. She died from a bad case of gastric dilatation volvulus (flipping her stomach) chasing a rabbit to soon after eating, so we had to put her down. she was 12 and the vet said there was no guarantee that she would make it off the operation table due to her age, and the stress she had already been through. But I swear that milk Thistle brought her back to life ... the vet couldn't believe she was doing so good ... she bounced back to being about 85% normal. It took a long time for her to bounce back, about 2 yrs from her surgeries so she lost a lot of good muscle mass that I thing really contributed to her flipping her stomach, but she did get to enjoy another 5 or 5 1/2 longer life than the doctors told us she had.

Of course like you mentioned our diet matters a lots and tats very important , i avoided carb food ,,and went ketogenic, For six months tat process helped me a lot ,,,but i believe that silymarin has a chemical which still baffles researchers till date ..but it helps regenerate new liver cells in a dramatic speed assisting its natural regeneration course ...

🙏🏼Hi Thomas, I watch each and every video of yours. I’ve experienced the same thing using Milk Thistle. I did over stress my liver and my body started detoxifying through my melanin cells to cause melasma on my full neck, when a doctor claimed that it would diminish my hyperpigmentation. Can you please advice us on Astaxanthia for healthy liver detox for my melasma to fade away?

Most people do not know the damaging affect that acetaminophen (aka Tylenol) does to the liver, I stop OTC pain relievers years ago after reading some reports. However, thank you all for all your information and I am increasing my intake was only taking a very low dose because I was concerned if taking too much even though it suggested higher dose but now will increase, by the way I have it in a liquid form.

Started taking milk thistle 3 and eating lots of minced garlic with my eggs and drinking coffee and putting turmeric and black pepper in my foods and coffee. Liver inflammation went down and levels are normal! But I cheated on my diet for a week and my shit got black inflamed
