This is a metal fence project I started some time ago. In order to complete the job a lot of concrete work had to be done first, including pour footings, forms and more.

About Jimbos Garage:
Jimbo's Garage is a channel to see cool metal welding and wood projects.
The highest degree of integrity I have had the privilege to watch on you tube of anywhere else in my 55 year career in welding and fabrication. Kudos to each crew involved and Made in the USA
Thank you Jim , I really enjoy your vids. I used to work w/ my dad. He was a blacksmith & farrier & wooden wheel maker. I helped him from from when I was 8 yrs old both in Ireland & Canada making mostly horse shoes and doing farrier work. He too, was 'heavy duty" on everything... including horse shoes... I still have a front pair of Clydesdale's shoes, we made together. You remind me of those days. Thanks for the memories. Peace.
I've been a fence builder for over 25 years. I've done tons of work for state municipalities and the federal government. THIS surpasses even the most stringent military requirements! This guy has a customer who must LOVE spending money lol.
Nice job. 👍. In a thousand years when archeologists look back on our civilisation, that fence will still be there. 👍
10,000
Now THAT's a full scale project! I hear ya on the "one-man-band" problem, I'm in the same boat when it comes to pretty much everything I do. You should go ahead and get an overhead lifting solution, those steel-toed sandals are gonna let you down in the worst way. LOL!
Now THAT'S a fence...Hell of a nice job you all did; looks absolutely fantastic. Beautiful welds. You totally remind me of myself working by yourself in a small shop, figuring ways to do 2 and 3 man jobs solo, only on an even bigger scale haha. Good Stuff.
I really enjoyed the video. I love seeing how things are built and learning some tricks to building things. You've got a great crew there, everyone kept moving and knew what to do. No yelling or rushing, working as a team. You're a great leader.
I'll never see a fence like that again without knowing how much work went in to putting it in place.
I like this guy. Very knowledgeable, easy to listen to and a true craftsman. This is one heck of a strong fence.
Your channel totally inspires me to stop building, homes and open a fab shop!
That 5/32 bead you put down looks great!
you do an excellent job at video producing and editing. very good angles, very good sound, very good lighting everything. and your creations are splendid. 53 year old amateur fabricator here...and good job with the very small shop..!!! you rock!
24:41 love your safety shoes ;)
Hello!
I started watching one of your videos by mistake and then another and another and so on and every video is very interesting and I like the fact that you take the time to talk about your tools or any advice or recommendation and I just love it.
Thanks and greeting from Mexico!
Jim, it's a pleasure watching your excellent work, you inspire me and I'm sure, all of us, to do the best we can do . It's a great feeling to stand back and admire what you have created . Thumbs up !!!
From one retired fence owner-builder , great looking job.
That came out great. thank you for showing the other side of what you do as well as I learned a little about concrete work. always enjoy learning new things.
3:32 I was waiting for him to say "cant throw it away" after talking about the saw lol.
Massive fence, beautiful workmanship 😃👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Dang jimbo, you would think you were a 5 guy crew! Epic work! Nice variety on the processes too, I'm sure a few people appreciate that
A project like that buys a shot load of tools and supply a long the way.its like a roller coaster ride.
I have watched several of your videos. I have to say they are some of the best I have seen. Thank you.
nice job on the fence, glad to see my people getting lots of good knowledge of what you show them , you should do a video next time on intervening your workers .
Got my group project done early so I watched the entire video. Thanks again Jimbo for taking the time to film, produce and edit your work. Keep them coming .
Thanks for the inspiration. Just had a customer talk me into doing a huge gate project out if steel and barn wood. Inspired by your video to anchor the posts exactly how you did these. And then mock up and fab everything at the shop.
Thank you!!
It'll stop a tank that fence, well built and engineered, great to see someone isn't doing it on the cheap 👏
Wow that is a great fence I would love one
I just found your channel Jimbo and now I am subscribed to your channel. Super impress with your fabricating skills and how you don’t cut corners. No such thing as overkill in my book and yours as it seems lol keep up the great videos.
Wooow, great job. I love the way you are not mean with information. Your explanations are just 👌🏿
I know what you mean about "can't throw them away". The wife is quick to point out my buckets of junk. Then she needs something done, and out comes the buckets. Yesterday I fabbed some Z shaped hold down brackets from 2 year old "junk", and made sure she knew where they came from.
Damn Jimbo!! I'm fired up to build some fences now!!
Can’t wait to see a gantry crane build for the workshop!
If I need a fence gate I'll call you lol great job and great quality of metal fence 👏
Looks great. Only question is, are they trying to stop a tank with that? I think that fence is stronger than the building next to it.
I know right...those are built better than most bollards which are meant to stop vehicles...
Exactly what I told myself 2 seconds before I've scrolled to the comments. Look really nice, but a bit overkill huh?
There's less concrete and steel in the empire state building! Must be the strongest and most expensive fence ever!
William Hitchcock I was wondering that too. What is this business trying to secure? That fence is a government rated high security fence. 😃
Same! I thought i was crazy thinking that lol
I enjoyed how you explained why you switched to stick welding
Yes, that was terrific job, done very well. I especially liked the way you mounted the posts.
very impresive! it should last forever.
Absolutely informative, educational, and inspiring youtube channel. This particular video motivates me, a retiree, to give welding a try (Do you think it's too late for a senior?) because it has ALL the info on labor, materials, and right tools for the beachfront security fence I intend to build.
Great job sir. I didn’t know you needed to dig holes on the ground to set up a fence and pour concrete. But anyways I do the same thing for a living I make gates doors balconies. Etc etc I’ve been doing it for 3 years and I’ll tell you what I love what I do. Thanks for sharing
Awesome job Jimbo last time I welded in flip flops I got burned keep the great videos coming.
18:02 Now that is a cool looking weld.
great job
Thanks Jody! Jimbo!
weldingtipsandtricks hey Jodi i do love all your videos too. Just learning as much as I can from the professional all for free. Thanks to UA-cam.
Hey its JODY!!! Mr Weld. whats up buddy
very good morning
@@JimbosGarage Did you put caps on top of the columns?
Awesome job. I love it when premade stuff in the shop lines up in the field. Ballsy to prefab the sections. But it worked! Nice work.
Good job Jimbo! I got to tell you that I did laugh at you when you were building the columns & panels in your shop/garage. I laughed because I do the same damn thing as you did by working alone when we both at times could use another hand to help but, time spent telling someone how and what to do I could have already done it myself. I've been in construction since I was 14yrs. old and started full time at 18 & I'm 55yrs. now & I hate asking for help when I know I can do it myself and in fabricating work, that helper would probably be standing around waiting because I like building it the way I want it. I'm in the Northern part of LA county and I'm guessing but it looks like you're in the O.C. It's cool watching your channel because of it being so close by. I've been following your videos for the past 3 - 4 months and I don't why but I just now subscribed to your channel. Best to you Jimbo, Lou
Thanks for watching Lou, Yes i'm in the O.C. Thanks for subscribing!!! Jimbos garage!
I am literally binge watching your videos!! I'm glad I found your channel! Thank you!
Thanks for watching Juan, Jimbo!
Damn, cleanest well rounded welding skills i’ve ever seen!
Nicely done. I hear your struggle with working alone. I'm starting to have problems myself when I take on bigger jobs.
That's quality work right there!

Great video. Always nice to see work that has your own personal touch on it. And I can’t bet $100. You won’t be able to find them at the big box stores.

Gotta gitRdone! I appreciate your ways of the trade and have to say I'm learning alot from you although just got started watching your content. Thank you sir!
I felt like trying to jump through the video when you needed help lifting up that heavy panel. Keep up the good work Jimbo

Está muy chingon tu taller JB
Great job that's a very solid fence
Nice job guys
great job...can we see more start to finish videos like this please
Bro.. the chanclas 😂. Awesome work though Jimbo. Great videos by the way and keep pumping them out.
Thanks for watching Sergio! Jimbo!
Jimbo, when you finish your first panel, build your next one on top of it to save squaring everything up again. Same with double gates.
Thank me later!!!
Great build thanks for sharing.
Wow.... thanks
Great Job. Looking at it all done you would have no idea how much went in to making a simple fence.
Great job.
Great Job.
I'm loving this channel. Just found it a few videos ago.
Thanks for watching, Jimbo!
NICE WORK!!!
Another great video Mr. Jimbo. Much support from Albany New York!
Thanks for watching Justin, Jimbos garage!
Excelente trabajo. Es difícil trabajar sólo, esas dimensiones y cuando lo instala y el cliente lo ve. Uno queda satisfecho.
Great video!!!! It was very interesting on how HD fences come together.
Very nice work, typical USA big strong pen to keep the hens in...Stay safe from the UK
Jimbo is the best
Do yourself a huge favor and get 2 nice sized magnets and stick them on your saw, I have 1/10th the cleanup after a lot of cutting because the magnets catch almost all of the chips. I do the same thing on my belt sanders and drill press, they really do help. Pull them off, brush them off, done.
Thanks for watching and your advise, Joe blow! Jimbo!
I built a vertical jig ..which could take two panelsxom each side with stops tobsey pickets and two welders welding out. Then rolled out in line to prime and paint. It worked great.
New title Building a MIL SPEC fence. Because we can!
