Basically took and measured the length, diameter, and width of the landing at the male ends of the shaft and machined it to fit the motor on both ends.
Omg. This is exactly what is wrong with my seat! The guy that’s looking at it showed me that piece exactly, and he looked at your video, but how do we replace that piece??? I hear u said u made it, is there any other piece that can replace it that I can find from the stores??? Or anywhere? Because I can’t find that piece and mechanics are telling me I have to get a whole new seat smh or whole new track!! Smh please help
Yes, i made this piece custom. I haven't done any research to see if this piece is available, i just simply went to making the piece i needed. You don't need a whole new seat smh, just a mechanic trying to get some money.
@@allaspects3866 it's not available through Nissan, they want you to purchase the entire seat track assembly ($1300). My daughters car is having a similar issue where it won't go up or down now, but the motor is working. The Nissan mechanic said this is a "common" issue with Nissan power seats. Another common problem is the switch itself goes bad.
Mine just went out the other day, except the issue is I had reclined it back, and now it won’t recline back up.
What did you end up doing? Mine is doing the same thing.. reclined and wont go back up now :(
Im sure there is a similar method of moving the back up and down, but i do not know about the back, just what I found with the lower part.
Did you fix it ?
Did you fix it? I have the same issue and don’t want to spend more than I need
I imagine that same will problem will happen again. So are you going through this process every time?
I had someone else driving the car before i made the video, now it's only me and it doesn't move anymore since i don't move the seat.
Where did you buy that small part ? I have a similar problem and my motor is good. Just that short square shaft is worn out aswell
I custom fabricated the aluminum piece myself.
How exactly did u do that and what would I need please explain I would highly appreciate it

I done this in my spare time at my job, I would not be sure when i could get this done and shipped to you at all.
Whaf avout it not going up and down
