In michigan we have a saying as it relates to RVs: We have three peninsulas ► Upper Peninsula ► Lower Peninsula ► Southern Peninsula The third one is Florida in the winter lol
This is a SMART camper. Thank you whoever added the bar with shoe/kid cubbies. Thank you whoever added the folding sink in the bathroom. My ONLY dislike is it sleeps 4 instead of 5.
@@JoshtheRVNerd I’m a Mixed Media & Textile Artist. I like to paint on canvas and then stitch on it and glue things to it for a 3D effect. I’m on Instagram with the same name. Anyway, I would work at the bar, and store supplies on the bunks.
I do not because solar is not one of those things were one-size-fits-all. Rather it’s what size fits you? To really know how to best outfit somebody with a solar package. We really need to spend some time with them to understand their intentions and expectations.
We looked at this exact trailer. The breakfast bar and especially that janky bathroom sink were not for us. The 21BHE suits us well and is what we ended up buying.
Would like doors on the open shelving under the bar. The little gem has more counter space and kitchen cabinets than our 30' trailer had. Like the 2 burner stove with counter on each side. Would like tandem double wheels even though the trailer is small. Just stops the bucking while driving.
Agree. After watching again bath would need a bit more depth also. Josh had to sit sideways on toilet as there clearly was not enough knee room to fit the way it is angled. Would love to see them modify this removing bunks, enlarge the bath and still able to have larger kitchen. Or enlarge bath but move slide out a foot further back so could have a permanent queen bed.
I really dig this layout. I don't need the bunks so I can do without those and then I'd rather have a permanent bed and couch instead of the Murphy bed
This looks about perfect size and weight for safe long roadtrips with a ford expedition large suv tow vehicles. Yes, you can tow with much longer weights and lengths but transmission braking going down long mountain passes during peak summer temps with too large of a trailer is just more stress than its worth... we are downsizing from an imagine xls 24mpr. 23LDE is probably our ideal trailer but maybe too big.
I like the tank sizes, murphy bed and breakfast nook. Would like to see this in a couples model w/ a bigger bath. Thanks for showing the weights and sizes Josh, most people don't do that.
My thoughts exactly Josh. I'm not wild about bunks. The bar is hard to play games at or face each other for conversation. I'd trade the bunks to get rid of the slide....
What a great little bunk house. Love how they managed to get a bathroom sink in the same space. Thanks for addressing the bunk ladder before I even had to ask!
I like this one! But I would take the dinning space out and just do a floating table and chairs so we could have a lot of people in on a rainy day and play board games
We went smaller and got the Imagine AIM15rb as a couples camper. Picked it up a couple weeks ago. Love it! Tows as simple as possible. Tops out at 4700. It is something truly built for max tow mid size trucks and SUVs. Our mid size can tow up to 7700 so it is well below our max. Systems are so simple and our 15rb does not have a slide. There is something to just a simple trailer and made by grand DEsign. A plus for us. We love having the dinette one because it is where dog sleeps at night. Ours came with the expanded solar, TPMS, rear camera, the inverter, off road tires. We got an excellent discount from the dealer.
I like the layout. But I wouldn't mind just 1 bunk with a storage above the foot of the bed. I like the Murphy bed. Do they have a 4 seasons bottom closed in ect. ? Thanks for showing it. 🌻👍 10:08
You hit it right on!!! Like, this would of been a real kool rig for a couple or for even a solo camper, you could have a bar with drinks and all and have fun, no dinette and more space. Like why mix bunks and high top bar stools like how are the kids going to sit on them and then you run the risk of them falling off, bad bad bad design.
This is perfect!! This is the kitchen I want! 2 burner vertical, counter on both sides. A convection microwave in the oven space instead of being overhead (awesome!!!!) I love that counter too, instead of a table taking up space. I like that it gives you a place to sit to have a travel stop lunch. And the storage! Holy moly! I really like the Murphy set up. Lots of storage there too, and the cubbies are nice and big. No doubt the PAP will fit there. This is one to watch. Going on the short list. It will be interesting to see what other co's come up with to compete with it.
That is an awesome floorplan. That eat-in counter is WAY better than a dinette! Like the shower in the bathroom , no too sure about the sink area. Nice one !!
This is a trailer that is on my radar. There are a couple of downsides to this though. The bathroom sink seems a bit odd. The major flaw is the Kitchen sink, just put in a normal round sink. Why the flip-up faucet?
Like..except need the dual axles. Also, cant see putting the bathroom sink up or down depending on needing to use the toilet. That bathroom sink reminds me of an "afterthought" but guess nowhere else to install it. Love the side bar idea with the additional storage. Overall, nice-looking unit inside and out.
I am not a fan of slides and the slide on this unit is the smallest one that I can remember seeing. If this came without a slide, it would be almost perfect for us!
That floorplan is oh, so close. I don't have any need of bunks, so the space is basically wasted for me. But that bar is nifty. Remove the bunks, expand the bathroom and kitchen into the space, and they'd have a lot of interest from me.
I love the bar! A perfect spot for coffee drinking. But, what's up with that kitchen sink? I'm screaming at my screen "please show me the sink!!" Do the fixtures fold down? Am I crazy? Because I saw no faucet 😂
I like it! This has a lot of options that I’ve always thought a camper should have. The bar instead of a dinette. I love that the refrigerator is very nice with the lower freezer. It still has a lot of windows so you get good light so you’re not claustrophobic. There is a very decent amount of storage and drawers inside for clothing. The kitchen also has really great storage and I like the two-tone kitchen cabinets. That makes it look a little more high end in a smaller package.🎉🎉🎉
I want to love this, I really do. Here are my issues, if you eliminate the dinette, that’s awesome, I’m on board, but if you don’t do a dinofa where does the third or forth kid sleep? Is there a law against 3 bunk travel trailers? Maybe the pass through could be used as a bed 😂. Other things that would have to be addressed for me to buy this, full size fridge please. TV delete and move the microwave there, and give me a three burner with an oven. The Labbatt Blue light in the murphy bed, please, please make that an amber color. Things I like, thank you Grand Design for trying something new! I appreciate the hitch weight, thank you, thank you, thank you. Tons of storage!
This kitchen is PERFECT! The fridge, the stove + convection microwave combo. YES!
☺☺☺
Really love this one ❤❤❤
Glad you like it!
love the counter eating situation
I do too!
I like this and yes I want full azdel.
👍🏻
This thing is CARZY COOL!
:)
Pretty good. Maybe a shelf in the bunks to put the phone overnight. Perhaps along the back/front wall.
Smart. Really smart
Dude. The bar tabletop dinette is clutch!!!!
I really like it, and I think it’s a good look at what could be different in the industry very easily
Instant portable office.
Yep!
For a small trailer, I really like it.
I really think it’s impressive. How many innovative ideas they smashed into one little trailer
LOVE IT ..... period!!!!
😊 🙌🏻
This is so interesting. I'm a fan.
Awesome! Ty for watching
This is very different. A cool foot print.
Agreed!
Would love t get one!!!
I know some people at www.bishs.com/contact-us that can help 😅

Still looking..thanks for info..but no thanks on this one. Have a nice day🎉
Love your kindness
Great family starter! Great for couples who are expecting a child too!
I could see that
Really good 🎉🎉🎉. I not sure about the slides as just something to break down.
LOVE the bartop/dinette. Wish they offered it as an option in more RVs.
Man… agree completely!
Needs an outside fridge.
NEED!!
Too small for me but wow this is a very cool layout.
Thank you for watching!
awesomer betterer, been using those words for a VERY long time
😆 glad I’m in good company
Love your videos. Live in Florida, so may have to make a trip to visit 🙂
In michigan we have a saying as it relates to RVs: We have three peninsulas

The third one is Florida in the winter lol
gosh i wish this had 2 axles!
Reminding me of weekend at bernies with those bedroom sleep positions. Lol😅😅
Lol wow that takes me back
I do see an outside vent for the stove. Interesting layout!
Yea me too. So does it actually vent outside?
Yeah I got that wrong. Dunno what I was thinking
The hoodrange does vent outside
I wish they had the same layout without the bunks. Something like the Viking 18FQ bathroom. It would be the PERFECT couples small travel trailer.
I agree. I had the same thought. I know bunk version of this could be pretty awesome.
This is a SMART camper. Thank you whoever added the bar with shoe/kid cubbies. Thank you whoever added the folding sink in the bathroom.
My ONLY dislike is it sleeps 4 instead of 5.
Yeah, I feel like there needs to be some triple bunk out there in the industry
i want one
I know a few folks that could assist with that lol :)
No thanks but great info .l'll keep looking and listening to your videos keep up the good work!😮🎉
As an Artist looking for a seasonal destination rig, I see that bar as my three month mobile studio. I LOVE this unit!
What’s your medium?

reminds me of a smaller drive unit rv layout.
Yeah very similar
This would be a perfect solo camper, too.
Yes…
I love the bar stools and countertop with storage under!
I think it’s high time the RV industry comes up with an option beyond just tables or booths.
Hi Josh. Love your videos!!
Do you have a video about setting up a solar package???

Tandems are usually easier to back up as well which is nice
Josh, yes I'd like to see them expand Azdel in their other lines especially the 17MKE but I thought the AIM had double sided Azdel walls???
Yessir. It does. Apologies if i said that wrong
@@JoshtheRVNerd No worries at all
Smart little rig! If ya have to have a slide this is they way I'd prefer.

This thing is a win, minus the flip up sink!
Ty
I would have more sound stools for bar area. 👍
Meaning sturdier?
Ohhh I love ❤️ ❤❤❤❤ the sink design. I wish more company’s did that with the smaller trailers
I thought it was smart
I like that bar. If I were design my own travel trailer, that’s what I’d do.
Same I think. It’s slick
Give it an east west bed so road mode is conducive to sleeping. 👍🏻
Love it. I’d take one without the bunk house, enlarged bathroom at the rear, add another axle (maybe). So cool!
Agree. After watching again bath would need a bit more depth also. Josh had to sit sideways on toilet as there clearly was not enough knee room to fit the way it is angled.

Nice I wonder if you could get one without the bunks it would be nice.

2 axles PLEASE
👍🏻
I really dig this layout. I don't need the bunks so I can do without those and then I'd rather have a permanent bed and couch instead of the Murphy bed
Yeah I think a no bunk version of this could be great
I would like to take out the bunks and use that space as a utility and storage room. Possibly install a camper washer and dryer.

Love it. Your website says it's 36 ft. Long though
Hahahha
Make that bar foldable to a single berth and add 8’ to have a full private queen front room and you have a home run for a family of 5
At that stage I think you're back into their XLS Imagine lineup
I wish they would go with white wood interior like most of the other manufacturers.

Thankfully an easy upfit but I get it
I do like the barstool seating. Unfortunately, the shower is a nogo. Thanks Nerd. #nerdherd

Would like dual axles. Where is kitchen faucet?
Inside the stupid sink. This sink is a big miss on the AIM series. Grand Design please fix the kitchen sink!
They did what they could with the space that was available I think
I really like the layout and as usual tell the nerd great job & have a wonderful holiday and rest.
Ty David!
I know that I keep saying it, but the bunk space without the bunk beds or at least removable beds
I love the floor plan. I love grand design.
I do NOT love the slide system.
I will buy a cable operated slide long before I buy a schwintek
There’s a lot of brands moving that way
I like this one! But I would take the dinning space out and just do a floating table and chairs so we could have a lot of people in on a rainy day and play board games

Yeah I almost think the dining bar pairs best with couples models but it leaves the layout pretty open
