In a time when lands seem to be the most valuable commodity, we find ourselves watching good homes and farmland be demolished to keep up with consumer demand and a rapidly increasing population. This is the case for the Gattellaro's Home. Custom-built for the family in 1982, their home has sat unchanged for the last 42 years. They enjoyed growing plants in their greenhouse and raising chickens for eggs. At one time, the family rented out most of their 10-acre property to be used for farming. The couple enjoyed the home for many years. With the Gatellaros getting older and the home becoming more challenging to maintain and navigate, The family decided it was time to sell their home. An Industrial Development company purchased the property in 2022 for 14 million dollars. This and the neighbouring home will be demolished to build warehouse space in this ever-growing industrial area. With this sale, the surrounding farmland sits at risk of being developed. I ran into a local farmer here. He mentioned that he farms 700 acres of land in this area, growing corn, wheat, and beans. The land he uses is rented, and with the area developing more and more, he fears that eventually, there won't be anywhere to grow the food we need. Some people will say progress is progress, but at what cost?

We’re losing all of our farmland everywhere & fears of NOT having anywhere to grow food for billions of people should concern us all.
...billions? US populations isn't even half a billion yet.
OMG. I could live in that bathroom.❤ Such a waste when these kinds of homes are torn down, with the homeless we have in North America.
I didn't care for the bathroom, it looked dirty. I would redo the whole entire bathroom.
The tree growing is a kumquat tree. Kumquats make tasty jams.
If I had that marble toilet I would never get off the pot.
The woodwork is beautiful. Staircase, sweet.
Look at that quality wood work throughout the house and tiling😍. Not to mention the exterior brick work!
My kinda home!
Such a gorgeous house, and the property is so grand, it’s a shame to be torn down, just to rebuild cheaper houses, nice video Noah😎😎👍👍🍮🍮❤️❤️
He said they are building warehouses for an industrial area.
Love this mansion, really hate when they destroy pieces of art like this. A shame.
Progress isn't inherently good.. it just suggests movement in a forward direction. But forward itself isn't even specific, you can move forward off of a cliff which helps no one.
I dont understand why I love your channel..... I so enjoy exploring with you
Oh my, I absolutely could see myself living there!! What a darn shame to tear that house down. That upstairs marble bathroom wow I could lay in that jetted tub all evening long! It's so sad to see the chandeliers and light fixtures still there what a waste! The basement probably wouldn't have flooded with the sump pump running - such a shame and so sad.......
My grandmother’s home was not a work of art. When her siblings sold all their farmland and homes, it was developed into a commercial area. Her home was purchased and moved to be used as offices in an industrial area 20 miles away. This was about 20 years ago. The house is still standing, but it looks terrible. I have never understood why they bought the house and moved it that far just to let it fall into disrepair. As usual, Noah does it again with a great explore.
I hate it when they take down good abandoned houses!!!!! Such a shame!!!!! 😢
The window coverings are called a valance.
That old tile is cool, I love that
Cost of living in 1982(year my Grandma died) and now 2024. That house was probably CHEAP compared to now.
That was an absolutely gorgeous home thank you sweetie for doing that video!! ❤
I don’t understand why they can’t have a sale inside of the wood, marble, floors, bathroom & everything that people who are building or remodeling their own houses could use. Even crown molding could be reused. So sad.
So clean ❤
i just noticed you have a Facebook page & I am enjoying the beautiful pictures on your page. I look forward to watching more of your videos because I recently found your channel and I love the locations you are filming.
I could really make this home
Very beautiful 🏘Love your intros, very professional. Take care and Thank you 🤗Donnie
That upstairs bathroom is stunning I love the tiles in the kitchen and bathroom the valances above the windows are swag boards
Very beautiful so sad they’re tearing it down
Thanks awesome house sad it will be Destroyed
Massive property gorgeous home 😁
That kitchen backsplash tile is Cool, the fireplace is so cool .it gives the room definition ❤
Be sure to do the house next door. thanks
Gotta love those hardwood floors
How do you find these abandoned houses?
Thank for the video
Yes if I had the money
I would fully restore this house instead of demolishing it
Yes that bathroom was one of a kind! Thanks for showing. Best wishes to you and your girlfriend. Hope she can figure out what they grew in the greenhouse. Very nice house!
That's my favorite part of the house and it is so sad that they are going 😢 to tear it down
I wish I own this gorgeous home!
U should buy it ☺️☺️
Love that addition / solarium room. What a waste ! Thanks for taking us around before it disappears forever!
How is the orange tree still alive with no water for years?
Very beautiful house!! Even for today. Those windows are gorgeous. I hope they repurpose all that stuff that still holds value. The thing hanging over and around the window is called a valence. Very beautiful ❤️
Noah, I call it a porch. 8:44 What is that tall black tower thing for in the back of the house? Never saw a laundry room by the front door, usually they are in the back of the house or in the basement. You know the help bars and stair lift isn't just for people that are old, Someone could of been disabled and needed the help. 25:11 That's a small shower. Pretty upstairs bathroom. How did they find everything that matches?
I love the staircase!!!!!
That's just so sad 😞 and stupid 😞
That hardwood flooring is just gorgeous
Beautiful home
Gotta ❤ that tongue and groove wooden walls and ceilings
Oh Noah, I ❤ LOVE ❤ THIS HOME 🏡❤!! The staircase is stunning, and the doors🚪are so pretty! That Gazebo is EXACTLY what I told my husband that I wanted and he didn't understand, oh my!!!
The room where the tree was growing is what I would use for parties, weddings, wedding receptions, and the like.
Whoever sold this home and property for 16 million dollars NEEDS to have their mind examined, I'd NEVER sell this EXCEPTIONAL home!! 🏠
You have just found my DREAM HOME Noah, and now it's going to be demolished, oh, I have a headache!! 🫣 🫢 😵💫 😖 😫 😩
Thank you for sharing this home my friend. You are the BEST!🎉
Take care, Noah!
Your friend
Didi, 👍😃👍
the short curtains above the vertical blinds is called valence
If I could afford this house, I'd buy it, fix it up and restore, especially the basement 😕
Oh, I certainly wish that you would / could!
Thx Noah😊
Abandoned about 8 years? Who gives the tree water??
It looks like the dinning room and connecting room were built on later.
Gotta eat stuff that grows in the dirt. Bugs Bunny not wrong; eh? The land being covered over and farming being decimated is very disturbing. The provinces have some of best soil in the world. I lived all over and this planning is destroying our food capacity. Thank you Noah for your exceptional work. You are best at it.
The dead dry plants in the green house could be tomato vines, such beautiful grounds around the house patterned paving stone the dome like plant close to the house could be a mulberry, a close up of leaves and a branch I could identify it. The citrus tree looks like cumquats the fruit seems large though. The fruit are too elongated to be tangerine, or mandarin. Those upright strips on the wall could be grow light. Could have been an indoor orchard. Chandelier is not glass glass would clink. The top counter the toilet and bidet and bath are all a form of resin I have a wash hand basin in one of my rooms like that but in pink. Although the wall tiles are lovely its too much. Lovely house thanks for the video.
Kumquats 😉
Gotta wonder why this is being left unused 😮😮😮 if only the walls could talk huh 😏 🤔
Noah your intro was beautiful keep up the great work 🫶😊
Thank you! Will do!

Cool noah
It is abandoned till someone start living there just to get visited by two police officers in front of the house saying: “you cannot be here). Bro! You literally have families being homeless, they’d take care of the house and pay for the electricity, water and gas. They prefer to let the house fall apart and not give anyone the chance to have a roof. I don’t get it.
@TLOH7 Corporate greed...unfortunately
Bathroom is sweet!!!
Don't worry about all the farm land getting developed. it's ok because AOC says we don't need farms because we have a lot of grocery stores to get food at.
Very nice house indeed.
I could surely live in that magnificent beauty! ❤
Those are seed starters ❤ the little trays.
Very sad, we live in a disposable society.
Those curtains on top are called valances
Hi Noah!❤
..and, other things in there, I hope they repurpose/salvage ❤
The sunroom is awesome 💯, that looks like a add-on. Exterior brick 🧱
Sad. But water in basement not good. Big😢😢 remidiation with black mold. House is too owner specific like crazy bath. Tear it down. They are happy with their fortune. May not have long to enjoy it. Not for me.
Someone go save that poor little tree that is still growing! I often wonder if our trees & forests have life & feel the pain of our destruction of them. That poor little tree wondering where everyone went….
That's a bathroom, and a bidet...holla 😂❤
HOLLA 😂
Yep, Italian vibes ❤❤❤❤❤❤
The tree that was inside the house Palm Court tree
Macrame seashell ❤❤❤
Always 100% explore noah, the quality of your finds are great,I think you are one of the best urban explorers on you tube.keep on keeping on.peace.❤🇬🇧
Wow, thank you! I really appreciate that 😊
Hi noah
The top curtain runner is called a valence
Thank God no graffiti
Wow butifol 9:12
Royal bathroom style ❤
I hope they repurpose that lift chair, they aren't cheap,.. someone could definitely benefit that.
Valence ❤❤❤❤
Muy bonita la visita pero pasas muy rápido el video y marea mucho. Recreate más en los detalles y pásalo más despacito, plis...😅
I will never understand how corporate takes over and leaves the past in the dust. How do they sleep at night??? Keep destroying the past 🤦♂️.. worked out great for Germany.
They offered them 25million they didn’t want the house just the land so they could build warehouse s it is real shame that’s my idea of heaven ❤
You need to ask yourself, WHO win buying the land. Who owns the stock. Where else have they purchased land? Then you will see why.
$14 million they got rich fast!
Typical boomers, do nothing to get that rich but say to 20-30 year olds: stop buying starbucks to afford a $1 mill house with 50k salary lol
I would rather have the home 🏡 instead! ❤
not a fan of "progress"
Maybe they were growing weed.
I was thinking the same
Money spent, and wasted up the flu...😢
Comquart tree
Do they thrive without water?
@davidhibbs6989 "Kumquat" tree. I think they need drier soil (like a cactus), but they need to be kept warm. Anyway they're tasty.
Looks like figs.
Kumquats used to make jams
Why do you put the mike to close to your nose or your mouth. It's annoying.
Its literally on my shirt? Did you miss that?
I don't hear or see any problem at all, Noah, everything's fine. Just continue doing what you're doing. ❤
Well it sounds like it's clip to your nose.
If I could afford this house, I'd buy it, fix it up and restore, especially the basement 😕
$14 million?
