excellent show as ever chaps.....inchys goal at highbury in 84 was a belter as was his equalising goal at kenilworth in 86 in the 2-2 draw was up there as well......but the 6th goal v Coventry in november 77 was my fav especially as dave thomas was my hero(duncan McKenzie was close) as big Bob Latchford lashed the cross in.....Halcyon days lads
The Everton fans who critique Pickford bemuse me. We’re not going to have the absolute perfect goalkeeper, we’re 15th place in the prem. I’m not sure what more you actually want than what he’s doing right now. He’s our best player
Tbh, I haven’t heard much criticism of him for a couple of years other than he’s kind of an odd ball. He’s single handily kept us up the past couple seasons, I believe we’d be in the league below without him.
Forest are happy to have less possession than us so I can’t see them opening up on Sunday too much. They will be happy to sit in and catch us on the counter.
Coleman merits a year in BMD and his performance v city shows the is still a good needed back up at right back. Young will be 40 ffs. Reckon gav votes tory.
@theblues8840 true but Coleman still deserves a final 1 year contract at BMD especially considering squad depth and value he brings in dressing room and training ground also. 13 years a dedicated great blue and hes happy to dismisively throw him in bin. Deserves this one more year and to play in BMD and his experience will be important in the transition to new grounds
Lineker must of watched the game and thought wtf are the coms on about for him to bring it up on motd. I know he's not everyone's cup of tea atm but we'll said gary lad 👏👏👏👏
As a forest fan you are totally wrong. If you go and "have a go" you will play right into our hands and we will win. If you play your way and sit in the low block we will struggle. We won't be coming to Everton thinking it's gonna be an easy game. Honestly. if you sit back and play the way you usually do we will struggle, but if you do "have a go" we will win.
So if they’re 34 it’s fine? Surely they should give contracts depending whether they think the player can still do a job or not. Based on Young being our player of the season so far at 39 I’d say it’s more than age.
@theblues8840 I'm not saying they are not good enough. I agree A Young has been excellent so far. My point was if we wish to be serious contenders then we need a younger squad. How many older players are in Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal etc Football is highly a competetive sport. The manager has to be ruthless. Ferguson was never shy of moving players on whwn they were past their best. How many teams in the Prem would sign Young, or Colemam? It's not about age or ability, it's being able to compete consistently over the season. Age catches up with us all 🙂
@@macca8167 those clubs wouldn’t sign 38 year old on a free because they’ve got money mate, however Brighton are lauded as an example and they did exactly the same with Milner joining on a free at 38
@@theblues8840 Milner is an example along with Young and Coleman as to what can be achieved if you look after yourself and escape serious injury. But how many times has/did Milner play, how nany times did he get booked because his opponent skipped past him. If we gave Young etc a new contract it should be for 12month and use him as a squad player. Unfoerunately Seamus and Ashley get found out when faced with pacey players on a 1 on 1 situation. They have been great servants for the club, but that can hold the club back. It's new ownership, a new stadium, lets get a squad ready and able to compete in the next few seasons.
The draws will have us relegated.i know against arsenal, chelsea and city you can say they were good draws. I would normally agree except we have gone through 9 games with 1 win. So if we had won a few games these draws would be fine but that hasn't happened and with all the draws we are guaranteeing being stuck in relegation zone for the rest of the season. It's tome now to get wins

Came back from the euros wasn't in the best of form but he's proved yet again how much of a top goalkeeper he really is should be happy we've got him
Loved these podcasts lads, best wishes for the new year 💙

I agree. Without Pickford we’d probably have gone down the past couple of seasons!

@joemc9683 he's been brilliant for us lately some of the saves he's done have saved us points and kept us out of the bottom 3

Think we are nitpicking guys but for him over a few years we would have been in championship
Let’s have a bit of positives here boys FFS

He’s barely ever fit mate, Young has been miles better than him this season and he barely gets injured either

Gerrard needs to offer 60 million for DCL.
Can't be giving players over 35 new contracts
