finally installed my absolute 63. My wife and I had a new house built i 30 minutes from gate of Mt. Rainier. Moved from Tacoma. Workes great keeping the house nice and worm
Great looking Stove, Would the noise from the distribution fan running at 50% make it difficult to hear a TV if they were close to each other in a Living Room?
Even on full blast, the distribution fan is not obnoxious. If, however, we find we need quiet... the stove has a "Whisper Mode" which will cut the fan noise down considerably.
When you say it keeps the entire downstairs nice and warm what is the outside temperature? I live in northern Minnesota and it’s not uncommon in the winter to have temperatures of -25 degrees.
Do you get metal expansion noises (clicking) when the flame kicks up and the dies back down in room sensing mode? I have Absolute 63 and I seem to be hearing these noises
@@keithmalatesta7660 second season using it, feel like I had very few in the first season - that I noticed. Seems to be doing it more now in this second season. Had the dealer come out and look at it and said everything was fine just normal metal heating/cooling noises. Frustrating that this has developed though. Hoping it will go away.
@@britneycoley457 Now that I think about it it made more noise before I removed all of the back panels to vacuum all in behind there after the third season. There was a lot of dust buildup near the fans. Perhaps removing those metal shields in the rear of the stove and reassembling reduced the amount of ticking
I notice that you did not have flame almost six minutes after starting stove. It should take 3 to 4 are you cleaning the holes in the burn pot. All the Harman stoves that I have flame within that time when cleaned out properly. We have built a house soon to move into and will install new Absolute 43 stove. Harmans are the best stoves to buy. They Run for years.
That vid is from when the stove was new. Several firmware updates have it starting much quicker now. This will be our 7th season with it. It is a workhorse! Highly recommended!
Nice video. I just got a Absolute 43 yesterday and will install this week. Are you pulling outside air for the intake or from the room? I'm still undecided whether I should do the outside intake.
I am not using an outside air kit... I went back and forth too and have found I don't need it at all. My house is 4400 sq ft. (1700 down /1700 up and 1000 third floor). Open floor plan.
Hi Keith, How has this been? Do you find that it heats your entire house, or do you still have to run your heating system? I have a 1300sqft house. 650sqft on the first floor and 650sqft on the second floor. My first floor is pretty open, and a wide open stair case to the second floor. Also, how often do you fill it? Thank you, Mark
Hi Mark, the Harman is unbelievable. It puts out an incredible amount of heat! My house is 3400 sq ft. 1700 up amd 1700 down. The heat pump amd furnace are completely off. I have the heat pump on upstairs but it only comes on for an hour each morning, just to cut the chill. I burn a little less than 2 bags a day. I fill it once a day.

It doesn’t get that cold here. We had a cold snap of 0 to 10 above last winter and it kept up without issue. Love this stove!
Can you do a more in depth review please
I want one but there's not enough owner reviews

That’s a high flame , is that normal and safe ?
Are you still happy with stove? I'm looking to get one of the same model. Thanks
Couldn't be happier! Actually can't wait for cooler weather whrn the stove comes on by itself to warm the downstairs! Soon!!
@@keithmalatesta7660 Great! Thanks for the review. It's starting to cool off here in Pennsylvania where I'm at.
Just ordered this Stove . I can’t wait.

When it was new... moreso. Less now that we are on our 4th season.

@@keithmalatesta7660 great thanks for the advice I’ll give that a try
It's been a long time since I last watched a silent film.

What's your start up time
The vid shows it... at 5 mins there is flame. 8 mins full burn.

sounds noisy for the long fire up time!
Useless
