It’s just a huge light stick moving across the screen (not trying to throw shade btw) in comparison to the OG move in GU. Now try adding a nice trail and some good particle effects around, maybe topped with some camera shake and some zooming out, and boom, suddenly it feels like it has more impact. Simple movie magic :D

Most likely a third edition to the condensed spinning slash stuff, like for the powered up sword, and axe, and now the 3rd edition would be the energy blade.
@@twilightprince05 It's a silkbind skill and cannot replace a non-silkbind switch skill especially bc of tge controls (one of the 2 wirebug buttons has to be replaced since you can only use 2 silkbind skill on each scroll at a time). But it's possible for it to not occupy any switch skill and be an additional option on one of the 2 available slots, if that's what you meant
Technically it's in line with an Saed, I'm mainly thinking it should only be possible in Amped state (And maybe a decrease in damage as it's less committal)

@@NerDios dude impact phials can reach 200 damage each, that's 1k damage fro phials only, if count the axe hit it ranges from 1.3k to 1.8k it's definetly more than half of the energy blade shown in the video, with elemental phials monster with decent em hzv take 300-400 damage from each phial while hitting really good elemental hitzones you can reach 500 to 700 damage for phial, taking this into consideration the damage from energy blade is pretty low
For the damage it deals it should be a 2 bug move. Still would like to get ripper shield so we can 3 bug combo into some massive dps. That said I am loving the element saed spam atm.
Honestly i was just thinking about how it still does less damage than longswords sacred sheath combo and that doesn't cost any wirebugs, i think one is fine tbh
@@SinginCousins yeah no, untill the monster is down for you to charge the sacred sheath, you will not be using SS on longsword reliably unless you want the even worst GS experience where you don't have tackle to bail you out of bad positioning or monster read

@@DragonChief157 I'm not tryna be mean or anything but if u dont feel like SSC is reliable then you don't play SSC correctly or you don't know everything u can do with it. It has hyper armor and u can dash after you charged it and it's counter is such a big window it sometimes feels OP, being able to counter like 4 times in a row and getting a free spirit gauge each time is ridiculous, i've lowered my kill time on every MR5+ monster in the game to less than 6 minutes because of how reliably strong SSC is
@@girthdon6886 Yea u right to make it worth u need 3 spirit gauges but it's so easy to get Red spirit gauge with how easy the counter is to use and sakura slash being a gauge up for one wirebug, even without perfect play i can reliably get 7-8 minute kills and i've even lowered all MR5+ monsters down to 6 minutes kill times and even less on some. 2 wirebugs for the mod would probably make it more balanced but 1 WB is so fun haha
I am still annoyed that this mod doesnt use the old camera movement from GU. It looks and feels like it has no impact at all (i guess it fits into Rise sound and camera design in that regard Whops)
Ok so I want to actually ask you (or anyone who knows about it) something, I tested the move and now I know it can crit, artillery affects it (not by much), bombardier the same, and raw attack obviously affects it. How does it interact with element phials like the one you using there? I was able to pull off a 2.2k crit in the toad's head with Scorned Magnamalo CB, but not anything above that

For all of you who are saying that the damage it deals is high, i don't think so, with valstrax cb saed you should deal with a proper set something like 500-600 with the first axe slam and then around 300 per phial, when it doesn'it hit the head in the video it dealt around 1200 but the thing is, if it would have been a saed it would have dealt more with 200-300 per phial Edit i also was thinking and comparing enery blade to an axe hopper saed, damage wise energy blade is equal to axe hopper if it hits the head, if not its even half of the damage
2918 damage its normal but the problem is this damage will only happens when all the bottle hit the head, it won't happen in SAED but that mean you will hit all your bottle on wrong place , that won't happen in SAED too, so I think that was balance to 1 cost 20s for faster and longer range SAED (whole animetion still cost the same time with SAED so you will still get fuck after you using it like SAED) But look like it's doing the same damage,no metter you have red shield or not? that was not normal...but i cant see the damage with red shield in the video... :(
Is it worth getting a switch just for this game and a few others? I want to play this so bad being a mhw veteran but I only have a ps5 and I feel like playing on switch could be jarring because of the 30 fps cap that is
It isn't jarring, really, but pc version is superior. Because of mods and 60fps. If the fps won't bother you, then it's a matter of portability and mods. Do you want mods? Then go with PC. Want portability? Go with Switch. Unless you have a steam deck. Lol

Energy blade does NOT play around. I once cut off a monster's tail in on hit with thar move, without ever hitting the tail beforehand
