Awesome job. Maybe you can help Matt over at Salvage Workshop get his going. I love the way you guys have the perseverance to stick with it and get these old machines running again. The fact you have a job waiting for it is a bonus but I wouldn’t be under anything it lifts until all the hoses and hydraulics have been thoroughly checked over. Cheers Stuart 🇦🇺

These brodersons are good little cranes. I was a crane inspector for 30 years before I retired. Had a customer that I dinged because all the signage...load chart, warnings, etc... was not legible. They got a sticker kit for it and even put the NOT TO BE USED FOR BUNGEE JUMPING sticker on it. Max boom height was 18 feet if I remember correctly.
Check the dead end at the wedge socket and make sure the dead end is not crosby clipped to the live side as it appears to be.

Well that new starter didn't stay new for long. Most times with those pumps, if they sit awhile, you can pressurize the fuel inlet with 20-30 psi of fuel (I use a modified old 5lb fire extinguisher) and it will blast thru the gum and work again. No need to take the pump off and apart. (Usually) It clearly does not like start fluid, bad idea. Best to use carb cleaner instead. Or even WD40 can work. Chrysler cars in the 50's-60's had left hand lug nuts on the drivers side. I didn't know it either......not pretty... lol I would dope up the fuel with Lucas, Howe's, and some ATF to get things unstuck and cleaned out.

Love your perseverance, bet there where times when you were thinking, just how much can I get for scrap? Think that engine sounds a little better now it's been run, if your keeping it beyond your project might be worth doing a compression test, might have a sticky ring.

Neat old small crane.Great to see you tackle the injection pump. Shes a bit chuggy but a goin' pretty good. I wonder if the fuel residue was biodiesel. Its nasty like that.Anyway good luck with the home build,be careful.Check the old cables etc. Will check later on the slab lifting.

@@mikekisch5563 I wonder if that pump has some sort of advance mechanism. It sounded ok till the rpms got up some, when you drove it on the road. Good luck with it at any rate and try not to get injected by old hydraulic hoses!

i think your right about the tree rats. i cracked the injection lines at idle and all of the cylinders are contributing some power. i am wondering if it is a ring/piston compression issue.
