I really want to know what the questions are. I'm hoping it's obscure scanlator drama but it probably going to be questions about minor characters in One Piece.
“Rome wasn’t built in a day but if you were the construction manager it would’ve taken a hundred million years.” The man has done it. He fit a Rome line in to this game.
It's like in the worst possible spot as a game design. It could've been very simple but fun, or packed with tons of dialogues and character. Instead we have these characters and dialogues, but they are already being repeated by the 3rd (!!) question and it just annoys you. Still, I hope this gets a series for a while, really fun to watch.
"I spent thirty dollars on this, so I'm milking it for all it's worth." Geez. You poor soul. Y'know, I literally never "like" videos because I hate that it stuffs them in a playlist, but I gotta do my part to pay you back for this travesty. My condolences. RIP your 30 bucks.
Basing your score on how quickly you answer the question in the battle royale mode was a good way of getting around people googling the answers. It probably wouldn't work otherwise.

I think there's probably a lot of musical tones between the voice lines that really pull the whole thing together, and since music is off, it's just a lot awkward silences and it really makes it funny. Enjoyed the video!
happiness levels spike at about 75,00 dollars annually. plus i live in a place that has a low cost of living, and plus i would rather have a lot more time on my hands, rather than millions.
18:10 is a confusing one. But literary-historical context is required to explain why you got a bit confused. Marlowe wrote the play "Dr. Faustus" (actual name is like 3 sentences) based on some germanic tales, legends (ergo not in the ownership of one specific author). Goethe also wrote a faustian play, but simply named it "Faust" (also there's 200 years separating em). Bulgakov also wrote also a faustian work, but focused on Margarita (lel, pizza, I know). And then also a great writer, Thomas Mann wrote another one, simply names "Dr. Faustus" (actually the title has like 2 sentences in it, but similarly as Marlowe, it is shortened to just that). (there's much more writers [usually less notable than the four above], who wrote a faustian legend, but listing them all could turn into a short essay) They are all based on the same source legends, but each takes a wildly different angle to the source material (it's an interesting topic for comparative reading, but also very deeply explored and somewhat un-fresh)
Normally I take a lot of NL’s quips and banter about various “high arts” as him posturing as an intellectual but this was actually extremely impressive.
Game idea: who wants to be a millionaire, but the between-question conversation literally gets longer and longer each time. By the end you're watching a full length movie between q's.
Absolutely losing it at the dialogue 'I think we all agree that we can move on to this new question!' 'I hope you have recovered from your emotions, because here is your new question!'
If that game ever became at all popular the battle royale would instantly degenerate into a whole pile of annoying people googling the answers every time.
NL's legitimate panic that the neighbor wasn't going to hear the question during Phone a Friend was beautiful.
