@@nicolasdimario8634 i love marty friedman. Truly. But despite his work with Megadeth i think he cant be labelad as a thrasher. Jeff Waters is a genuine thrash metalhead.
Jeff was offered 2m U.S. dollars to join Megadeth twice. He had very little money because of a nasty divorce, and he still couldn't stop doing Annihilator. That's commitment and integrity for you. One of the nicest guitar players in metal. Good luck in the future Jeff.
I met Jeff in Toronto after a show in the very early 1990's. Very nice guy. Talked to me for a good twenty minutes and autographed a Canadian two dollar bill which I still have all these years later.
How on earth could you give that a thumbs down? He totally nailed it. That the the closest copy I have heard yet. Clean!!! No hiding behind effects or volume for this guy, he smoked it. A+
***** In the end Marty got the job, which was probably the best thing to happen for everyone because now we have Marty's solos and Annihilator still has Jeff.
Dave asked Jeff to join Megadeth back in 2004 and Jeff refused because he didn't wanted to be a simple hired gun, + he was in the middle of an album/tour cycle. They did talked about collaborating somehow, someday, but nothing came out of that.
@@zedddddfulModern Annihilator is super underrated too though. Feast is actually my favorite Annihilator album personally. It’s directly up my alley, hits all the sweet spots for me
Bruh, Jeff is just awesome. Hands down favorite riff he's done is from Ultraparanoia when the lyrics kick in. "I'm on the run and I'm moving fast". Second to that is Fun Palace for sure.
Nothing hits like the riff in the second half of Epic Of War though. Or Second To None. Or Betrayed. Dammit all of em are finger lickin good! Thats Jeff for ya \m/
What about the pure riffage in Word Salad. That song is fucking majestic. So many good Annihilator riffs over the years. Ultraparanoia is really fun to play on guitar and i agree with the other dude as well about Epic of War. The maiden style part halfway through really epic.

I love this. Jeff doesn't have quite the same level of nuance that Marty has but he has way more precision and punch. Its the difference between watching the arrow fly and watching it hit the target right through the head. I think Jeff and Dave should hybridize their bands for one album. Annihideth or Megalator. haha.
