Yo Snail, I grew up during the Ed Roth era used to put these models together as a kid. Came across this video, Totally got into it. When I saw the Pink Floyd t-shirt I said yeah I'm subscribing. Luv Floyd. Great build. I will be looking forward to your future projects. Hello from beautiful downtown Artic Mid Michigan. 💛🥶🇺🇸
Hey! Thanks for subscribing! Pink Floyd is my all time favorite band. I got to see Roger Waters perform The Wall at Wrigley Stadium awhile back. Also a huge fan of Ed Roth. I’m currently working on a Foxy Box Chevy van which is gonna be out of this world so stay tuned! If you’re interested in my full build videos definitely check out my “full builds” under playlists section! Thanks for watching and welcome to my modeling mayhem 🐌✌️
Nice job on this. The seam work on all of these old Roth monsters is always a bear, but so worth doing. (Geez you went thru like 5 outfit changes...LOL!) Great to see a young person doing these classic kits, thats what makes me so happy to see so many of these vintage reissues so another generation can enjoy them! Keep up the great work!
LOL I’m surprised someone noticed!! I can never stay in one outfit too long. How can you when there’s so many different ways to express yourself?! My mom thought when I grew up i’d go into fashion. Technically I went into modeling 🤣
Glad you have found and built "Mr.Gasser", like his soft hair. Most of the Roth monster kits have teeth and I found the best way of painting the mouth is remove the teeth. Store them on a piece of of plastercine and attach much later with 5 minute epoxy. Dont worry about the goopy epoxy, paint that gingivitis brown, LoL. Also epoxy gives a great wet look to the eyes, cheers.
Thank you so much for that tip! I must try this next time so I can perfect that periodontal smile!😃 Hope you have a great day and thanks for watching! 🐌✌️
I gotta say what a awesome Job,, your Mr Gasser is most excellent,, you are a very talented model builder and I completely enjoyed your show,, I'll be watching,, later Glen
That's a fun kit to paint, I built a couple of them. I use water based wood filler for the seams, you can smooth it with a wet finger, so a lot less sanding. Looks great with that hair. 👍👍
Nice work 👏 wish mine was good as yours but i do mine as i did as a kid😂 couldn't afford spry spray paint as kid had to hand painted 🎨 al my kits but still fun keep up the good on your models 👍
cannot even begin to admit how many times I have glued parts together before the inside was complete it's my refusal to read the instructions, I want a more pure exploratory build haha but I pay for it sometimes
We've all been there and done that... We all make mistakes and in this hobby, it's all about problem solving. ;^) Nice recovery on getting that part back in there. Turned out nice in the end and looks like you had fun building it. Have a great day. -David
That was an excellent repair concerning the tongue. I don''t think I could have done it as well. I just subscribed to your channel, and am glad to support yet another female artist in the automotive model building world.
So the hair is from a cat toy?! I'm trying to restore a 1990 re-issue that I bought at a toy fair at Halloween. It has a horrible green spray job that I trying to strip off to finish building it. 5 soaks, and nothing coming off yet. But I love the hair idea.
I am so happy I found this!! Very excited to see and share my work with you. Really great build, I think the paint job is RAD!! I love my Ed Roth models, all the rat fink stuff, too. Did you get the new ED ROTH model from Atlantis models? I am excited about that one!
Thanks for subscribing and welcome to my channel! I’m glad we share interests! I have not yet even seen this new ED ROTH model! I’m going to have to check it out!
Great job.... Don't feel bad. I had alot of problems with this kit to. I'm building the reissued kit. I painted the car body the clear fogged up so i had to remove the paint. And then I forgot to glue the the left hand on after i finished the monster. I alclad the front bumper and when i was putting the panel liner on didn't see that the panel liner dryed on the chrome so i had to remove the chrome off the bumper and redo the chrome again. A nightmare!!!!
Oh yes I know what that’s like. I had to strip all the chrome parts on the drag hag several time. It was a total s**t show. But after all that frustration with the alclad I finally got it right. I feel your pain. 😂
Great job! I’m glad to see these old models have been rereleased. And glad to see someone besides us old geezers enjoying them.
Lol I’m an old geezer at heart I suppose! Thanks for watching! 😊🐌
Nicely done 👍

Ha, the hair on that dude looks awesome!
It’s actually a cat toy! I searched every store to find the perfect orange fuzz only to look up and find it in my front room.

Looks great !! I just about forgot the mouth insert also. Like the use of features for the hair !
Thanks so much! Yeah had to do a bit of plastic surgery 😂
Something I learned years ago is at least paint the mouth insert flat black before putting together !
@@lorenharwood5137 That’s a great tip! I will carry that with me in the future. Much appreciated:]

It is! Thank you! Have you tried scrubbing it lightly with a soft toothbrush? Good luck getting that paint off!
@@scalemodelsnail Scrubbing, sanding, re-soaking....still rock hard on it.
I'm going to glue, putty, and prime it white, and then prime again...
