Your tutorials are all useful but this one has more practical examples than usual so I think the knowledge gained from it is even better. Thank you and keep the good work. In case anyone has a problem with directing the pipe into a particular path, he can select the Pipe curve in the Outliner editor => Go to edit mode => Move the curve control points to the required locations along the wanted path. I guess if you can go through the Fixing and Completion panel or the toolbox panel, that would be great. Again appreciate the effort. Thank you.
Not 100% sure, but I think you can select them and in the "object" settings, use "convert to mesh." Note this will likely break the Fluent Editing capabilities, so make sure you like your mesh
Hey Justin, long-time SketchUp user, here. Thanks for the Blender tuts. I love Fluent - but I love Speedflow even more. Have you tried Speedflow? I've been using Blender over a year now, and just love it. Feels like I'm future-proofing my CG life. I use Fluent powertrip for the pipes, cables, and mesh panels. I use Speedflow for most other hard surface modelling in Blender.
I found some problems creating chains with it. First of all you can't create hangin chain (start and end point must be set on surface) and more annoing thing is that you can't add material to chain. What;'s the point to do option to create it if you can't apply a material to it. Tried to convert it to mesh and then add it's but not possible. If You know how to do it please share it with us.
Really Great Dude.. Which one you recommend Fluent power trip or Hardops boxcutter. iam so confused plz help..! and next time please use matcaps while showing.

Hi everyone! Have you tried Fluent's wiring and piping tools yet? What did you think? Let me know in the comments below!
trying it and it doesn't seem to work. i can point out the first face to attach it to but not the second face and then there is no wire

Great demo of some powerful functionality.
Thank for the concise video ! really helpful
Great tutorial. Your channel rocks
Thanks so much!
Well done man. Very helpful video. Better than the ones from the actual add-on creator himself.
I wondered - How do you actually convert all of the component parts of these pipes and wires to meshes that you can then apply materials easily to?

Where is the option for setting collisions before using simulation? Atm, the cable and chain just clip through the objects they're attached to.

I haven't yet - I haven't really wanted to go too far down that path yet, but it seems like a great tool!
When exporting as FBX to unity, there is planes on everyother link... any idea how to fix?
How to reverse the custom connectors? I would like the connectors on each end of the cable to be opposite directions. Can't figure that one out...

found the solution :) ua-cam.com/video/GRfpbftfa_U/v-deo.html , shame that creator of this add on is to lazy to explain all about it.
Lazy seems like an unnecessary accusation...
Many thanks for this...

how can i get the simulations to work with collisions?
Add physics to them?
@@TheCGEssentials I had to google it after, and the plugin does not do collisons on simulations
Wow fantastic !!!
Glad you like it!
@@TheCGEssentials Yes more Fluent please !!!!
If you have the option of three or more points, that would make things easier to direct a pipe or wire around corners.
what a nice tool
Can you plz make a tutorial on vfx
This is a VERY broad request...
@@TheCGEssentials so will u make?
