Great work, just got this addon, still new to it, but cleared a lot up for me! Really grateful you make these regular addon tutorials, especially for the more niche or lesser known addons, it can be hard to find the right info for
Thanks for the demo. This looks promising. Currently I use the cable and pipe generator in Fluent - Power Trip addon which is excellent. This addon has a bit more customisation but it seems less refined. It doesn't seem to remember the last used tension so it's always creating a blown-out cable. I guess it will improve over time.
love it! I have a problem though. Sometimes when I add segment I can't control or change the axe it does shows along the curve. is there any way to change Z,X,Y of the segment itself?
Interesting - based on what I'm seeing, it does add cables in a similar way, but it looks like you get way more functions, like the connectors, as well as a lot more ways to create cables and connect them, in this add-on. Could be a viable alternative if you're doing some simpler cables though :)
@@TheCGEssentials Yes it's more basic than this addon but I guess it could be expanded upon in the future. The developer is actively working onJmesh tools and I think the cable part is a relatively new addition. $10 is still well worth the investment though for a dedicated tool.
Hi! There are several addons that use the same way of adding cables - by clicking on surface - as a base. However the reason why I made Cablerator is that none of them went far enough for me to actively use them in production: adding details and making them look realistic, combining them together and editing them after - I imagine because for all the other addons cable functions were just some additional features. For me cables are important and I hate lame boring cables :)
when i do the step @ 15:30, my new cable flys off at some random location/size and is borked. I 'reset transforms' on both the scene geo and the 'bevel object' (before assigning). Still no joy, please help!!
Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about Cablerator in the comments below! :)
Hello! I'm from Russia. I watched a lot of your videos, they are very useful! you are cool dude!

Please if u can send me this add-on

I mean, every cable is different anyway, right? Changing the tension on a cable isn't very hard...
Thank you so much for the video.
Thanks for watching!
Yes this is much more info than the maker did, so a huge thanks !
Well his video is more of a sales video - there's some helpful videos in his documentation as well - thanks!

No problem!
Thanks Justin, pretty sweet.
Thanks for watching!
Vous êtes juste génial. Merci pour ce que vous êtes et ce que vous faites :) Avez vous un paypal ?
this was nice!!!
Glad you liked it!
This is a great AddOn! How about adding a "spiral" function?
I mean...I don't make the add-ons, so I can't add anything
@@TheCGEssentials Of course. I saw 2 videos and commented on the wrong one. Sorry, for that! ;)
Would you be able to explain how to create a spool of coil I got the actuall spool down but no idea how to make the coils for it.
thanks for the explaination, just one thing how did you get all thoses lines coming out of the path in edit mode?
thank you:)
You're welcome!
Whats the difference to just drawing a bezier curve and then increasing Depth in Bevel settings?
As an alternative part of Jmesh Tools does a very simular thing but it's a free addon.

figured it out, the Bevel object has to be @ 0,0,0 in world space; Geometry -> Origin
Can you make a video on how to make a roof in Blender?
What kind of roof? Generally I'd just create a profile and extrude it...
Looks good. I can do most of what it does but it takes me wayyyy longer. Is there a gravity function to make the cables sag?
Hmmm...I'm not aware of one right now - I think a lot of people use Hang Down for that kind of thing? I haven't tested that add-on just yet
How is this different than the included Spline Generator add-on?
Paying for it
lovely! also : is there a way to change the default tension value?
This I don't know
Inflation has raised the price to $14.
