Thank you Dr. Price, I feel like a dumb a$$ for putting my son thru ABA. He had 3 months of it and seeing were it was going truly broke my heart. I feel shame for doing that and have ask him for forgiveness , i should be someone he can rely on. Live and learn i guess.

The important part is you are learning and growing. You made a mistake but it's over and doing the right thing even when you were wrong, learning, and educating yourself is the strongest thing someone can do.

My oldest daughter was diagnosed with autism at 2 yo. So then I bought into the Vax Koolade, and I delayed vaccines for my subsequent children. Shockingly, the other 4 kids are all on the spectrum.
Last December I realized I am autistic. The mystery of "why are all your kids autistic?" Has been solved. 😄
Devon's book is amazing. It's invaluable in my life.

I have known many parents who wonder why their child was born autistic. Sometimes they become educated and understand that autism is genetic and passed through generations. Some of THOSE parents eventually seek out and get diagnosed as being autistic themselves. Many do not learn much about autism, so autism in themselves, their partner or their family tree never occurs to them.

That last part about opening the door for accountability, being unafraid to communicate about conflict--literally all I want as an autistic person

I was on the witness stand in a Federal Courthouse in Tampa, and the Judge started nitpicking me to speak Neurotypically, and I could only get the words out the way I speak Autistically. And, the more and more the Judge stopped me and wouldn't let me testify unless I could speak like a Neurotypical, the more and more sensory overload I was getting. She didn't let up, and a sensory overload meltdown was coming on, and I had to run off the witness stand and out of the Courtroom, and there are NO sensory rooms in the Federal Courthouse in Tampa for Autistic people, and so I had to run out of the building and go in the car to decompress. It was a terrible experience ! And, I was shaking and crying, and I had to put a coat over my head to block out the overwhelming sunlight. And, I felt very INVALIDATED. It was a very traumatic experience !! Autistic people are going to law school !! What is wrong with all these Neurotypical people ? You have a Federal Courthouse in Tampa that doesn't even have a sensory room for Autistic people and is so totally inaccessible !!! And, that's even apart from WHY is my Autistic communication so wrong that I was being nitpicked to speak Neurotypical or have my testimony invalidated ? omg.

Thank you for bringing Autism out of its many misjudgments and into a more clear understanding of it.
Our species excels because of its diversity and not its rigidity. Art itself is novelty and an absence of a habitual singularity.
Dr. Devon Price did a very good job of bringing out some of the characteristics of Autism.

You didn’t quite catch the negative connotation of person first language, but you may be forgiven as a person with allism.
But thank you for interviewing Dr Price. Their book “Unmasking Autism” is insightful and helpful.

Hypothesis: stereotypical cis / white / male autism is what masking usually looks like in that community.
There are potentially two different things being conflated here-a psychological phenomenon in which people try to figure out how they can conform to social norms and disguise their limitations as best they can (this is the sense I'm using above) and a difficulty in diagnosis when autism presents in ways that were not expected based on earlier, non-representative sampling of the autistic community.

There should be literature and philosophy based on the knowledge of autism in books that are educational for the public to know their support needs and the equality of democratic rights across the world.

Another great interview. I’ve never heard Mitch so involved on a personal level lol. The questions he asked were the same I asked myself about myself 😂. We are all on the spectrum

Yes, we all are on the spectrum if fully conscious and after taking everything in.

No not everyone is on the aut!stic spectrum. Those who process the world bottom up are on the spectrum, and those who process it top down are not. Dr. Price said as much in this interview.

Autism is a broad spectrum term with various causes. It’s just wrong to dismiss vaccine injury. It’s very real. And can be very disabling.

I know someone who's daughter changed overnight after a vaccine. The doctor told her not to get anymore vaccinations for her daughter. So I believe sometimes it's a cause.
