Floor Jansen is a living example of how cancer can strike unexpectedly. In the middle of the Nightwish tour a little over a year ago she found out she had breast cancer. She had surgery and radiation therapy and luckily now the cancer is gone. In the middle of it all, she got pregnant and gave birth to her second baby girl a few months ago. She also released her first solo album, toured both with Nightwish and did solo gigs at the same time...
and she is called the Valkyrie Godess !! she is not just leading the Crowd - she hypnotized and commands them !! if she would say do that or that - they will do it without asking !!
Hello MollyBoy [ @MollyBoyTV ] ! Nightwish fan here, your musical quest summoned me. Welcome to the world of symphonic metal! And thank you for checking this legendary band! You will never know what to expect. They are unbelievable live. I want to warn you that Nightwish fans are hard core. So be prepared. lol " For an extended set of suggestion (with links), I posted 2 huge comments in the community tab in my main YT channel: www.youtube.com/@gabriel.bardac/community 🤘
Floor is unlike any other singer you will ever hear. She can literally sing anything, from opera style, rock, pop and growls. She is truly astonishing. This particular song was about 2 hours into their set, and she still had full power and control. There are a ton of their live performances to get your teeth into.
"Nobody suggested the studio version - that's why we're listening to the live version.." - wise man. ;) "..such mad goosebumps..." Yeah, every time, every time I hear her, every song. "I'm gobsmacked..." Me too, still, after hearing this literally 1000X. Welcome to Nightwish. :)
This is the concert in which Floor was first singing and showing her vocals to the public. She absolutely blew them away. Oh, I can't wait for you to hear Ever Dream-

Guitarist Emppu Vuorinen is a fantastic (and highly underrated) player. Like the other band members, he serves the song. But make no mistake, Emppu can really shred when the song calls for it (see "Romanticide" from this same concert for an example of his technical skill)
I know you've been loving pink floyd. Me too. Nightwish did a tribute to pink Floyd's High hopes that I beyond amazing , with Marco the bassist doing vocals. Nightwish has no shortage of talent! Welcome to nightwish world
You should follow Gabriels list as it's a good way to get into their large back catalogue. You've only just started your Nightwish journey, and I'm here for it.
Welcome to the Nightwish Army Private MollyBoy. You may not have realised, but you have just signed up to many years of discovering and enjoying the best written, the best arranged, the best performed and the best sung music. You will experience more emotions than you thought possible from music: you will cry, and then want more so that you can cry again; you will smile, and then want more so that you can smile again; you will listen in disbelief, and then want more so that you can listen again;. Each new song you listen to will become your favourite, until you revisit them again when you will agree that the one you are currently listening to now is your favourite. Then Captain MollyBoy you will sign up for another tour of duty because you cannot imagine a world without the music of Nightwish - Past, Present and Future - in it I know this to be true, because I was once you.
Honey , if you do so much as one more Nightwish song, the Nightwish Army will be at your door. There is a progression of songs. Reach out to Tank The Tech, he can help with what's coming. Oh, what a joy your life will be! I recommend their Wacken 2013 concert. You will cry. Ever Dream will bring you to the floor. I will never get over the lose of Marko. He cut me. I WILL BLEED FOREVER. Floorgasm! Congratulations! All those goosebumps? That is your first Floorgasm. There will be more!😊
Everything from the Wacken performance is worth watching. It was an epic show with an enormous crowd. She wasn't even officially a member of the band yet. She learned the song set in 40 hours and performed it like she had been with the band for years.
"Romanticide" 2013 wacken would be the best one to do next. It's faster, and less operatic, but still a masterpiece. You'll be suprised how different it is from GLS. But it shows another side of Nightwish. They are extremely dynamic. Thank you so much for your reaction, and I hope you do more. Side note: the reason we always recommend the 2013 wacken versions of their songs is because that concert is generally considered their best performance. Better than the album versions.
Mate, they definitely do "metal". I'm sure Gabriel Bardoc will be along soon. He'll provide you with a fairly comprehensive history. I stopped listening to Nightwish in 2007, despite being a fan since the very early days in 1996/7. During lockdown, I rediscovered them through a reaction vid. I'd never heard Floor. Yeah... Goosebumps ain't the word! But rest assured... They do do "Metal". You'll get to Romanticide, Yours is an empty Hope and Master Passion Greed eventually. Enjoy the rabbit hole. P.S. Tommy Johansson is worth a look too. Guitarist in Sabaton but just announced he's leaving them. He's known as "The Male Floor Jansen". All the best.
Don't expect every Nightwish song to be like this. Every song is different and each one an adventure. Try any live performances from different concerts and you'll hear how versatile they are. Best wishes from Australia.
It's metal, but not as you know it, this is symphonic metal, Nightwish probably the best of this genre, Epica are good too with contrasting vocals, Within Temptation are also worth checking out, this will lead you Sabaton & power metal, if you don't like it, there is of course the thrash metal catalogue to fall back on.
Floor Jansen is the lead singer. She is beyond superhuman. She can do anything from high opera to guttural death metal style vocals. Their first lead singer was Tarja Turunen. This song was originally recorded with her vocals. The studio version is hauntingly beautiful. Songs from her era worth listening to are Stargazers, Sleeping Sun, Wish I Had an Angel, Nemo, Beauty of the Beast, Ever Dream and Bless the Child. Anette Olzon was lead after Tarja. She was only with them for two albums but both (especially Imaginaerum) are masterpieces. Oh and since Floor became lead the picks include Weak Fantasy, Yours is an Empty Hope, Tribal, Noise, Shoemaker and the 24 minute long Greatest Show on Earth.
Nice reaction first off....Secondly Ive worked with a buncha different bands over my 68 years and recently just started getting overly tired ( Bored ) with my usual go-to's and started searching thru UA-cam and hit on this band. Heavy drums and bass...check. Chunky guitar riffs....check. Keyboards that are just amaz ing.....a check I usually don't check.....But Floors vocals and the goosebumps ( Floorgasm ) just tripped me into the rabbit hole of Nightwish. You'll get more than a few thoughts on what to look at next . But seriously....anything by this band is a worthy choice.
Symphonic metal my friend and Nightwish are the masters. For something heavier next time go for Yours Is An Empty Hope or Romanticide next. Always live of course. Such a talented band. You'll love the rabbit hole
The whole Wacken 2013 concert is amazing. I recommend starting from the beginning ("Dark Chest of Wonders") and working your way to the end ("Last Ride of the Day"). I think you'll really enjoy it. This band is so powerful live. And Ms. Floor Jansen.... well, it really goes without saying. She's brilliant, beautiful and legendary. Have fun with it, brother.
MollyBoyTv I'm an old classic rock guy, I've heard and been to many shows by bands like Deep Purple, ACDC, Scorpions Kiss, Iron Maiden, Metallica among others, 6 years ago I discovered Nightwish and I was simply impressed by the diversity of her musicality and especially with the vocalist Floor Jansen who for me is without a doubt the best vocalist among the 3, and is without a doubt my favorite dancer and certainly Floor is the best singer of my entire life, the queen of rock, keep reacting to Nightwish because each song is a different emotion and follow Floor's solo career and also in her former bands Afrter Forevel and Revamp
Nightwish Army Western Oklahoma division here to welcome you to this fantastic community and your first Floorgasam. 😊 I know exactly how you feel because almost exactly 2 years ago, I was introduced to Nightwish on my channel and I was blown away 😳 😮 I still get goosebumps from head to toe when I listen to them. Please do Romanticide from the same show. It's a lot heavier. I Want My Tears Back live is another great one that's harder. Rock on, Kelly 🤘🤘
Wacken 2013 starring Nightwish and co-starring the 80,000 is..wow!! The energy this band always creates with their crowd connection is incredible!! Welcome aboard the Nightwish express. It takes you away. You don’t know where they’ll take you but you know it going to be friggin’ epic every time . Sensory overload….and Floorgasms..NW style!! Bring some carrots. You’re on your way down the Nightwish rabbit hole and it’s a deep one😉
Hi molly boy, Brummie here man. First, great reaction to Nightwish. Me and you had never heard of them. All i can say is they are SUPERB. Anyway, not sure if you are Brum or Black Country but both are the best. Nice to here Your accent mate. You are genuine Hip Hop i am Genuine Rock but when you here music from the likes of Nightwish it opens your eyes and ears. You take care man and keep up the great reviews, kind regards from GB, England, Birmingham, Peaky Blinders Country.
Finnish Band, Vocalist is from the Netherlands and Troy is a brit (You haven´t seen him - not on stage in this song) so, welcome to your ?first? metal eargasm, the Nightwish Army calls it "Floorgasm" ;) enjoyed ? i did to keep this running, react to the 2nd most 2nd reaction to Nightwish, "Storytime" live Wacken 2013 ... asap and ... a good song to react to, is : When a hell-of-alot people tells you to do this and that... a good CHOICE is, when you read comments of people telling their story to a specific song from a specific band, and this makes you curious ...
Who on Earth wouldn't want to see this?! Nightwish is F-ing amazing! Maybe people scared of the Nightwish Army that's gonna take over the comment section. Hahaha. It's a Finnish band, but the singer is Dutch. They've been around since 1996. Some band members changed over time. They had 3 different singers for instance. Nightwish has different sounds in different songs. Some are heavier, some are folky, some very theatrical, some 80's rock influenced. They're all super talented and a joy to discover/listen to. I've seen someone recommend Romanticide from the same concert and that would be a great introduction to a bit more heavy Nightwish.
Hi Molly, glad you liked this video. If you want more Nightwish, maybe listen to Everdream from the same concert! If you want to listen to Floor Jansen the singer, I could recommend the cover of the song Shallow she made for the Dutch TV show 'Beste Zangers" (Best Singers). Enjoy!
"That wasn't the best guitar playing I've heard in the world - but that guitar sounded so sexy!" @ 6:38 You nailed it, Emppu, the guitarist is a true musician and team player. He can shred, but holds back in order to let the band and the music shine.
That was amazing! My first time for them, too. I was literally thinking it had a slight operatic sound to it a second before you said it! Her voice was heavenly and the band produced an absolute wall of sound!
Firstly, very good reaction from you. It was similar to mine. A year later and several hundred listens, I am still impressed, no still enthralled by Floor's voice, motions on stage and her general stage presence. Added to that, the whole band, of which I have since found out a lot, continue to impress, gain my admiration and give me more and more reason to continue to watch and listen to Nightwish far too much, possibly, for my own good. Keep up your journey - don't stop or slide from the track of Nightwish. You will never be disappointed by this band - they have so much to offer! See their other songs from Wacken and Wembly etc.
Welcome to the wonderful diverse world of Nightwish. UK Oldies Division of Nightwish army here as a new subscriber. Hope you'll keep on watching and listening. Especially their live recordings. I saw them live at Wembley in November 2022 and it was the most amazing experience. To hear more from them, I suggest you follow Gabriel's list or pick and mix from it. I have followed Nightwish for some time now and have just about every Nightwish recording, live and studio and not a single track I don't like.
Hi, huge Nightwish fan here of 20+ years, as well as a fan of Floor for almost as long. I've been following her since she was in After Forever. Great reaction! Nightwish's music is a whole ass experience, isn't it? You can't go wrong with any of their songs, really, from almost any era along their nearly 30-year career. But if you like heavy, you should do Tribal or Shoemaker. Both are from their Human:Nature album.
Great reaction mate. Nightwish is a deep rabbit hole bruv, I would take the nightwish community suggestions of what to listen to seriously, particularly from Gabriel. Their music is quite a journey.
There are a lot of Nightwish recommendation because they have a lot of great songs. To hear Floor at her heaviest I recommend her band Revamp and in particular, "Disdain" from the Graspop live performance, Another killer Symphonic metal track is Epica's "Consign to Oblivion" live at the Zenith.
The band is Finnish. The vocalist is the Dutch queen of symphonic metal. Floor Jansen! Very intelligent comment. "It sounded like a movie". Tuomas (keys) is the main composer of Nightwish music and lyrics. He is inspired by movie soundtracks, classical music, and Metallica. How's that for a combination? You my friend have just experienced your first multiply "Floorgasm". Floor Jansen is an expert at creating those physical reactions. Chills, goosebumps, frissons. Floorgasms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope to see you again very soon. If you decide to continue your journey of discovery just follow the suggestions of Gabriel Bardac below. So much more to experience. Many different sounds and styles from this amazing band.
You should react to Nighwish song Greatest show on earth it's epic , it will blow your mind. Ps welcome to Nightwiah Army and Nightwish is global band from Finland
Awesome reaction mate! Fair play, you gave something outside your comfort zone a chance. You obviously have a good ear because you were almost right about where they come from. The band started in Finland but their latest singer ( the one you just heard) is from the Netherlands. They also have a multi instrumentalist (not on stage for this song) from Cumberland. Nightwish are always best live. I would recommend Romanticide from the same concert to show their more metal side. Looking forward to your next Nightwish reaction. Greetings from Oxfordshire.
Storytime from Wacken 2013 is also a good one. Wacken is one of Europe's biggest metal festivals and its located in Germany! Would also suggest to react to Phantom of the Opera live version with their first vocalist Tarja and Nemo is also a good song. Nightwish are from Finland, Norway was a good guess, however, I'm from Norway tho😅 Cheers and have a good evening mate!
Molly my boy...you just had what is affectionately known as a Floorgasm. Floor Jansen is the lead singer snd she is a goddess. A pure musical viking. Nightwish brings it!
Your face of confusion and awe was awesome. Do more from this concert. You will not be disappointed. Her voice and their compositions will keep you on your toes!
Yess!!!!!!!!!!!!! So glad you reviewed this song. Goosebumps = Floorgasm. Trust me you won't be disappointed with "Nemesis" by Arch Enemy with Angela Gossow on vocals.
Welcome to the Nightwish rabbit hole. This video is possibly one of the most reacted to videos on UA-cam. I have watched so many people react to it and they all react the same way you did. IT is great.
Bruv, loved your reaction. I think this is one of THE best pieces of music ever composed in the rock era, combined with the performance of it by this band. I'm happy to see that you are not ashamed to say you like something even if it isn't as heavy as some of the earlier stuff you've heard. Never be ashamed to be honest, or to like something if you do. Floor Jansen the singer here has about the most amazing, best voice I've ever heard. I think you felt the same. DEFINITELY check out her duet with Henk Poort doing "Phantom of the Opera" on the Dutch tv show Beste Zangers -- you won't regret it.
the North German Division of the Nightwish Army reports !! We are there. special greetings to the General of the Army > Gabriel Bardac < (in your comments) and of course the rest of the Nightwish army and the sabaton family The Bande Vocals : Floor Jansen Bass,Vocals : Marco Hietala Guitar : Emppu Vuorinen Keyboards,Songwriting. : Tuomas Holopainen Uilleann Pipes : Troy Donockley Drums :1-Jukka Nevalainen until 2013 /and then 2-Kai Hahto.
Hundreds have fake reacted to this just to get views. But this is the best "Floorgasm" ever recorded. I would drag this guy from death under fire! Because he is genuine!
Nightwish is always... unexpected. This is one of their ballads, but make no mistake, they are a metal band and they go way harder than this. Thank you for deciding to do this iconic performance. Much love from the Nightwish army New York 🤗 This reaction is going to push you way over 25k 😁

The entire Wacken 2013 performance is amazing. Storytime, Romanticide, and many other great songs. The lives are the best!
I just love your reaction to this composition. Her name is Floor Jansen and yes your goosebumps is what's known as Floorgasms
You want something a bit heavier check out Romanticide or Dark Chest of Wonders from the same Wacken 2013 show,
Don't expect every Nightwish song to be like this.
Greatest show was my introduction during lockdown, I think it was the live London show on youtube. Amazed me.
Nice reaction first off....Secondly Ive worked with a buncha different bands over my 68 years and recently just started getting overly tired
( Bored ) with my usual go-to's and started searching thru UA-cam and hit on this band.
Finland but she's from Holland
srry for that - but she is not from Holland -- she is from The Netherlands !! there are two Parts in The Netherland that are Holland !!
Fun fact: They were around 70 mins into that set when they played this. Phenomenal
My boy can shread , but plays what fits the song. A true musian.
Ohhhh yeah!! This ones So good! Her voice is Godlike! Damm Angelic! If Angels could sing...this is what we'd hear!! Great choice Mollyboy!! Enjoy! 🤘♥️
I was pleasantly surprised by your reaction. As young as you are, and your appreciation of Floor's voice and the musicians, I compliment your insight.
She sounds great. Composition is all that matters.
Oh they have heavy. Those chills are floorgasms .
Hi, a great reaction, I have the honor to welcome you on behalf of the Nightwish army, greetings from Poland
Nightwish is the best thing that happening to me in the pass four years 🤟 i hope you'll continue👌
Finnish Band, Vocalist is from the Netherlands and Troy is a brit (You haven´t seen him - not on stage in this song)
so, welcome to your ?first? metal eargasm, the Nightwish Army calls it "Floorgasm" ;) enjoyed ? i did
to keep this running, react to the 2nd most 2nd reaction to Nightwish, "Storytime" live Wacken 2013 ... asap
and ... a good song to react to, is : When a hell-of-alot people tells you to do this and that...
a good CHOICE is, when you read comments of people telling their story to a specific song from a specific band, and this makes you curious ...
I'd not heard of Nightwish or Floor until around 2 years ago. Was blown away then and have been ever since. Epicness right there on that stage. 🙏😊👍❤️
Enjoy!
Enjoy your Nightwish journey, greatest live band. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Hater's gonna hate. Nightwish is one of the most talented bands around. Hope to see more!
"That wasn't the best guitar playing I've heard in the world - but that guitar sounded so sexy!" @ 6:38
You nailed it, Emppu, the guitarist is a true musician and team player. He can shred, but holds back in order to let the band and the music shine.
UK Army popping in for a great first reaction. Local lad hey ... UK Army is Wolverhampton
I am glad you enjoyed this Live Performance. There are so many Styles of Metal to explore. Can't wait to see your next Reaction to Nightwish.
That was amazing! My first time for them, too. I was literally thinking it had a slight operatic sound to it a second before you said it! Her voice was heavenly and the band produced an absolute wall of sound!
This is from over 10 years ago - both Nightwish an Floor have got even better since then
Welcome to the rabbit hole of Nightwish!!
I have been waiting for this!
Seriously thank you!
Nightwish - devil and the deep dark ocean. That’s what you really want to hear mate 🤟
Thanks MollyBoy, I enjoyed your reaction, I had goosebumps myself when I heard this song. This band is from Finland, the singer Floor Jansen is Dutch.
Welcome to Nightwish, thanks for the reaction, greetings from Colombia
And what is the music for a film or theatrical performance ? A SCORE !
The Finnish symphonic metal band "Nightwish".Greetings from Finland.
You should react to Nighwish song Greatest show on earth it's epic , it will blow your mind. Ps welcome to Nightwiah Army and Nightwish is global band from Finland
I’m 71 and just discovering Nightwish. Love all their songs. But Floor Jansen is so amazing-she can sing anything. Just listen!
Best 10min ever! Enjoy the journey with wonderful Nightwish. Greetings from Finland ✌️
Impressed that you could locate band by the sound
I was also impressed.
You just heared one of the most underrated guitar -player in the rock-world. Emppu Vuorinen - remember this Name!
As always, Nightwish army has arrived and i was late I like your positive energy and curiosity. PS: yeah i subbed ofc.
Yes !! Love that you’re doing Nightwish ! Go down the rabbit hole. ❤😊
Emppu makes that beautiful purple guitar sing. By far my favorite guitarist!
Greetings from The Netherlands, and enjoy the journey 🙂
If you like it more heavy, you should try Epica ( Dutch band ) and for starters the song "consign to oblivion". 100% you love that too
Yess!!!!!!!!!!!!! So glad you reviewed this song. Goosebumps = Floorgasm. Trust me you won't be disappointed with "Nemesis" by Arch Enemy with Angela Gossow on vocals.
Every NW song is a new story and new emotion. Greetings from Finland.
Welcome to Nightwish. She is actually a trained opera singer. Every song is amazing. They are Norway believe, their bass player won Masked Singer
Stardom! It’s nice to see you are open to all Metal. If it’s good it’s good, don’t let the gatekeepers stop you.
Welcome to the Nightwish rabbit hole. This video is possibly one of the most reacted to videos on UA-cam. I have watched so many people react to it and they all react the same way you did. IT is great.
YES!!!! More Nightwish!!!
Greetings from a Finn in Norway
🤘😁🤘
General Bardac🫡, where you at?
Hey, awesome reaction thank you! Greetings from Finland👋
Congratulations 🎉
And thank you 🙏🏻
Now you will be over ran with the Nightwish Army
Glad you discovered Nightwish. I think Romanticide would be proper for a next reaction. Stay heavy
Thank you! One of the best reactions to one of my absolute fave performances!
the North German Division of the Nightwish Army reports !! We are there. special greetings to the General of the Army > Gabriel Bardac <
(in your comments) and of course the rest of the Nightwish army and the sabaton family

Hundreds have fake reacted to this just to get views. But this is the best "Floorgasm" ever recorded. I would drag this guy from death under fire! Because he is genuine!
They have got some heavy songs
Nightwish is always... unexpected. This is one of their ballads, but make no mistake, they are a metal band and they go way harder than this. Thank you for deciding to do this iconic performance. Much love from the Nightwish army New York 🤗 This reaction is going to push you way over 25k 😁
Oh yaaa , Romanticide official live from Wacken for sure if you want heavier , you will not regret it !! Thx for your reaction !! 🤘🏼💥🤘🏼
