I think it's really important to get a good seal to the bucket on these cyclones otherwise the air will rush in the bottom of the cyclone and pull dirt into the vacuum reducing efficiency
Thank you for your videos, very helpful. The question I have, but haven't seen a answer to is, what are the inside and outside dimensions of both the intake and outtake ports on the harbor freight cyclone. Thank you for sharing this with all of us.
well I have found that this Harbor Freight Tools: Bauer Cyclone Dust Separator has no real easy way to hook up to my shop vacuum yes i know I can cut the parts that would help hook it up but why do they not make it just fit a shop vac....... I do not want to rig it up everytime I want to use it I just want to use it pop on my hose pop it on my tool and go but noooooooo it is not that easy sad to say I just do not get it !!!
I’ve purchased and used many Harbor Freight tools over the years. Many work great, some benefit from light modifications, and some are just junk. I feel this cyclone separator is really good for the price if you’re not ready to commit to a full dust collection system. Thanks for checking out the video.
Good follow up video , glad to see it's holding up in the shop . THanks
Thanks for the follow-up. I am guessing this greatly extends the life of the shop vac filter. I think I am going to go get one.

It's a wonderful cyclone ♪
I’ve been really pleased with it so far. Thanks for checking out the video.
Nice review! How do you think it would do keeping dog hair out of the shop vac filter?

No complaints with mine, just don’t get their bucket
This has had nothing but bad reviews about it.
