Shout out to everyone who contributed to finding these animations! I have wanted a video like this for so long since I am super invested into finding these obscure animations.
I had a tiny Local Bowling alley that closed recently and had these Animations, Barley remember some but I remember that after I bowled I ran as fast as I could just to see the animation that would play. Pure nostalgia
There is something wholesome about the strannge Early-3D aesthetic look of the Brunswick animations. I even remember these animations at my bowling alley when I was younger, too.
My local bowling alley used to have these animations. Unfortunately they were replaced recently. I'm glad someone took the time to convert them! I thought I'd never see them again.
I'm so impressed by your story of how this came to be! I had always thought of like, asking if i could make a copy of them at my local bowling alley. It makes me so happy that these are finally here in this condition.
At my old high school before I transferred, it was 2014-2016 my freshmen and sophomore year. I was on the bowling team and there was 2 alleys we would go to that had these animations. However, one of them stopped using these to put in a new system during my sophomore year. Good times... I also had no idea they had sound. I always wondered how they would be with sound, but now I know.
Thank you so much for finding all of these!!! These videos were what made me excited to go to my local Brunswick Zone, and I've been looking for quality rips of these animations for YEARS! I can still picture that old-fashioned bowling alley scent while watching these haha
These remind me a lot of old Pixar short films. In fact, I always thought the bowling pin in the Fence animation looked like Woody from Toy Story with that cowboy hat on.
In a bowling alley not far from where I live, there were some bowling animations that weren’t shown in this video. One depicted bowling pins being dunked like basketballs or something, and the camera pans to the backboard of the Basketball hoop before showing the score I’d get. Then there was one where the pins were being lassoed by a cowboy-hatted bowling pin. I remember those days.
(8 months after my original comment, since I can’t edit comments on an iPhone) I found out the name of the studio that made the bowling animations that I was referring to: Qubica.
Oh this is just AWESOME! I remember when we used to go to Butlins in Skegness every October for 2 weeks since 1999 and they had this bowling centre called Hotshots and these animations were always played above the lanes! This is giving me such nostalgic feels, thanks so much for this lad you're amazing! Such a shame I never see these anymore, certainly not in the UK at least as it's mainly QUBICA/AMF BOSS scoring/animations now.
I remembered theses classic 1990s Brunswick bowling animations brings back so many memories bowling at my school fealdtrips with my friends thanks for the video
My Bowling Alley had these animations for the longest time. And I mean THE LONGEST TIME. However it all changed when it went from a Brunswick to a Bowlero. It was either that or late 2010s in the form of those cartoon animations.
Broo my local bowling alley had these bunswick animations! These aren’t all of them, but a large majority of them are here aaa!! I wish they still played them in all honesty, really miss them
I grew up seeing these in New Jersey (USA) and I never heard the sounds either. Really weird to be seeing them actually cleanly ripped out of the software. Excellently done.
Holy sh*t, for some reason I remember a lot of these animations like the "Fence" one. It brings me a lot of nostalgia from my childhood when I spent some saturday evenings playing in the now closed one and only local bowling alley.
Thanks so much for posting this! My local bowling alley renovated about two months ago and got rid of these animations. The place has really lost its charm.
The bowling alley in the city near my town had these the last time I went there a few years back. Nice to see the ones me and my family were never good enough to get. Hopefully they're still there the next time we go there.
Yup. This is the one my childhood bowling alley in the 2000s. I checked out AMF’s bowling screen animations, and they were familiar, but I’d definitely never seen them. This one though… the one where the ball is asleep and the pins walk out of jail, the ball cracking against the metal pins, I remember this exactly. I think the alley might still use these.
@1:58 oh god! That instantly brought back some classic childhood memories of when my mother took my bowling as a kid and I'd later go to the arcade and play "House Of The Dead" for the first time! 🎳
Yep, they play these at the Westgate Lanes bowling alley in my hometown of Brockton MA, and they can be fun to watch. LOL at the animation of the bowling ball cows at 0:44!
I hope the next one to find is the animation sets from the Brunswick UChoose, which are far more modern compared to these. Late 90's to 2000's, I think. They're at an AMC bowling alley we sometimes go to and it is driving me insane that I can't find a decent portion of them online.
My local alley, Hollywood Bowl in bradford used to have these animations and a set of GSX pinsetters. Used to go there every year for Christmas eve. I went iirc 2021 to sadly find that they had replaced the pinsetters and scoring computers/animations for some string crap. I’m gutted when I hear we’re going bowling only to find the centre we’re at is using string pins.
2:00 I always thought that the bowling ball was beaten up and seeing stars with his eyes opened, but instead he's just sleeping with his eyes closed. 😆
Dude ive seeñ these exact ones with the red bowling ball wtf that's crazy. Legit makes me kind of happy they're still using the hear 30 year old animations
I remember seeing these animations at my local bowling alley. It’s so weird yet nostalgic seeing them with sound now.
Same
I wonder if they usually have the bowling animations on mute (or like the TV they’re played on is muted)
@@SOZOMUCIMAD Playing at one now and yes that is the case.
I seen those at the 300 Bowl down in Waterford while I was at Post Secondary.

my local bowling alley still uses these! it’s real fun to watch them
We have not updated those!
Perhaps they kept them on purpose for old time’s sake?
These where super high tech and impressive in the 90s before this they just had some blue teletext screen keeping track of scores.
@@belstar1128 we still have an alley that uses paper score sheets and no computers. Pinsetters and ball return is automatic though.
@@patricknedz Interesting i guess its some kind of small place.
THE "WOW" SOUND AT 4:16 WAS USED IN KID PIX AS WELL holy shit I didn't expect to hear that.
The one at 1:46 was used in the Space desktop theme in the Plus! 95 pack for Windows 95 (and on vanilla Windows 98 Second Edition)
That was from Simpsons Arcade!
Heh, a friend of mine always thought that "Wow!" sound effect sounded similar to Big Bird from "Sesame Street!"
@@ZakWolf Oh my God it does. I can't unhear it anymore!!! Also you're a fursuiter too, cool!

When I was a kid I thought the one at 1:58 said "911 breadstick corporation" at my local alley.
They still play these same ones in 2024.
I had no idea these had audio.
There was a way to change the setting and turn th audio on, I think it was default off.
You had to buy the "exciter" package which added speakers overhead to each pair of lanes

If I had to choose a hellish void to be banished to for eternity, it would be wherever these animations take place.
These remind me a lot of old Pixar short films. In fact, I always thought the bowling pin in the Fence animation looked like Woody from Toy Story with that cowboy hat on.
Now that you mentioned it, yeah. Has that late 80s/90s Pixar look going on.
@@MadameSomnambule The animations were made on the same computers as the early pixar animations were those computers being SGI workstations.

a straight shot of nostalgia into my veins, thank you for this
Thanks for posting these, my local bowling alley used to show these but after they updated everything its now gone. Proper wave of nostalgia.
I still see these anamations at my bowling alley and it never gets old😢
I would kill for my alley to have these animations again 😢
